Ti: 18:50:00
Location: Goryeo Ga Battle Zone, Tang Family Castle Guild Territory
When the sixth wave of Demon attacks ended, all players once again collapsed in droves.
So exhausting!
After five to six hours of intense combat, at this mont, there was no expression on everyone’s face except exhaustion.
This ntal fatigue was far beyond any physical fatigue.
What surprised Lin Yi was that during this ti, not a single person chose to retreat; everyone gritted their teeth and held on until now.
There was no complaint or grievance, and everyone seed to be competing with sothing, even the occasional jokes were about what would happen after defending the territory.
As another wave of Demons retreated, when everyone habitually lay down to rest, Lin Yi suddenly spoke up:
"There’s still ten minutes left. You can take this ti to log out and grab a drink or so food."
Lin Yi knew not everyone here could afford a gaming pod that could sustain them for an entire day without needing food.
When everyone heard Lin Yi’s words, they realized that the whole afternoon had passed.
Soone even asked:
"Can we log out for so food?"
Scratching his head with embarrassnt:
"I’m actually a bit hungry, but I was too embarrassed to say it."
Lin Yi checked the ti, teased:
"Nine minutes left."
Hearing this, everyone knew Lin Yi wasn’t joking, and then a spectacular scene unfolded.
Just monts ago, people were sprawled everywhere, but now only a little over a hundred players were left looking at each other in surprise.
Glancing at the surrounding people, Yaoji worriedly said to Tang Aotian:
"What if they don’t co back online? Our previous efforts will be wasted."
At this ti, Tang Aotian looked at Lin Yi, who was resting beside the Elf Dragon, as if answering Yaoji, or maybe comforting himself, softly said:
"Don’t you trust your own brothers more than a newcor?"
After saying this, Tang Aotian also took the opportunity to sit down and rest.
The remaining people basically used gaming pods, so even playing for a whole day was no problem.
Seeing the more than half-missing players, Lin Yi’s heart wasn’t as calm as it seed on the surface.
If these people really didn’t co back, it would essentially be all over.
However, Lin Yi’s decision was crucial for what ca next.
He could already feel that a good number of people were reaching their limits.
If they didn’t take this opportunity to rest, another wave might force them offline due to ntal fatigue.
Being forced offline would an waiting 24 hours before logging in again, which Lin Yi knew too well.
If it ca to that, it wouldn’t be worth it.
This is one reason why gaming pods are so much more expensive than gaming helts.
Players using gaming pods simply don’t face this issue.
This break felt like tornt, with every second dragging on for those present.
As the ti for the next Demon wave approached, still no one was online, leading to concern among so:
"What if logging out ans we can’t log back in?"
This made everyone a bit panicked:
"It shouldn’t be, right? The official rules didn’t say we couldn’t log out!"
Since that’s the case, soone was quite puzzled:
"Then why hasn’t anyone been online for so long? It’s too suspicious."
Seeing everyone in a state of unease, Lin Yi spoke up to comfort them:
"Relax, you can log out and back in again."
Others felt the sa:
"There’s still three minutes left, I trust Gangzi and the others will be back."
The group chid in:
"I believe too."
With less than two minutes left, surprisingly, still no players logged back in.
That was three to four hundred people!
Not one logged in, causing Lin Yi to feel uncertain...
But then, in a flash of white light, a player nad ’Little Zhi’ logged in, prompting soone to ask in confusion:
"What took you so long? We thought you weren’t coming back."
That player, Little Zhi, awkwardly smiled:
"Well, I was really tired, so I had sothing to eat and took a shower to refresh myself."
Little Zhi checked the ti:
"Still one minute to go."
At this point, noticing the empty grounds, his heart sank:
"Where... are they?"
Only then did he realize why his logging in had caught so much attention.
With the break ti nearly over, Lin Yi had to speak out to reassure them:
"I believe they were just delayed by sothing. What we need to do now is hold down the fort until they’re back."
Lin Yi clapped his hands:
"Now, line up, everyone get ready!"
At the sa ti, the Elf Dragon let out a prideful Dragon’s Roar, resonating above Tang Family Castle.
The Golden Behemoth was still lively, pounding its chest and roaring.
The Jade Qilin let out an ear-splitting roar, not wanting to be outdone.
Maybe moved by the three pets, the hundred-plus players stood up, Tang Aotian said:
"Brothers, haven’t we faced tougher situations?"
"It’s just a ga, at worst we die and then resurrect."
"We might be outmatched and die to a swarm of monsters, but we can’t die from cowardice."
"Let’s follow Feng Hua and do it!"
These words instantly fired up the players’ spirits:
"Old Tang is right, just one word: beat the hell out of them."
The group began to cheer and line up.
As the break ended, a "boom" ca from outside the city, at which point white light flickered through the crowd, then more and more...
At the critical mont, they didn’t let down everyone’s expectations:
"They’re online, they ca back."
The players, as if agreeing on it, almost simultaneously logged in and quickly returned to their previous positions:
"Glad I made it in ti, almost ssed things up, scared to death."
Soone joked:
"You got scared? We were scared by you, we thought you weren’t coming back online."
The Demons had already climbed up the city wall, and Lin Yi quickly said:
"Save it for after the fight, everyone get ready!"
...
In the few minutes they spent on edge, the Goryeo Battle Zone forum had already erupted with speculation.
The posts were undoubtedly guessing how the Tang Family Castle, with just a few hundred players, managed to hold on till now.
After all, many guilds far stronger than Tang Family Castle had already failed, yet the one guild everyone expected to fail was still standing.
It was unbelievable.
