Since the opening of the ga, she has consistently occupied one of the top three positions on the strength leaderboard in the He Clan Battle Zone. However, she has always been mysterious, without any affiliations, choosing to wander independently.
Very few people have seen her appear anywhere for an extended period.
In the He Clan Battle Zone, various factions have offered her enticing conditions, hoping to recruit her.
But no matter how tempting their offers were, the result was always like a stone thrown into the sea, never to be heard of again.
Mari Kyoko continued to act independently and actively in the He Clan Battle Zone.
Speaking of Mari Kyoko, she is soone Lin Yi t while doing a Cyclops Race mission, and with her help, Lin Yi and his group successfully completed the mission and returned.
In his heart, Lin Yi was quite grateful to her, even though she was part of a battle zone he despised the most.
The last encounter was in Moria City of the Sea Race, unexpectedly today she proactively added him as a friend.
After the nations were opened, players from different battle zones could add friends across zones.
However, during special events (attacking/defending cities), functions like private ssaging are disabled.
This also prevents certain cheating activities.
Lin Yi looked surprised at the girl in front of him:
"What matter can’t be discussed in private chat, and why et here to talk?"
But Mari Kyoko, looking through the swirling snow at the vaguely visible Border City in the distance, calmly said:
"Isn’t it a few days until your Hua Country’s New Year?"
Lin Yi was taken aback for a mont, then nodded:
"Yeah, we call it Spring Festival here."
"How wonderful!"
Mari Kyoko gazed at the Border City in the distance and sighed:
"I heard it’s the busiest ti of the year in Hua Country during your New Year."
"I’ve always wanted to experience it."
At this mont, Lin Yi didn’t think much and said:
"Then co on!"
"For those who are friendly to our country, we are very welcoming."
"No chance!"
Mari Kyoko smiled slightly and shook her head:
"I’m afraid this wish may never be fulfilled in this lifeti."
Even though she was smiling, Lin Yi sensed an inexplicable bitterness in that smile.
"Why can’t it be fulfilled?"
Suddenly Lin Yi said:
"If you’re willing to co, I can cover the round-trip costs and all expenses here, I’ll invite you to co and play!"
But at that mont, Mari Kyoko suddenly wiped the smile off her face, looking at Lin Yi:
"Thank you for your kindness, but there’s no need."
Before Lin Yi could speak, Mari Kyoko continued:
"Let’s talk business."
Mari Kyoko looked at Lin Yi, curiously asking:
"What holiday is it for you the day after tomorrow?"
"The day after tomorrow?"
Lin Yi thought for a mont, then replied:
"The day after tomorrow is what we call New Year’s Eve here."
"Why, is there a problem on this day?"
Mari Kyoko nodded, looking at the distant city walls:
"The information I received suggests that the He Clan Battle Zone and the Goryeo Battle Zone might join forces to attack your Border City the night after tomorrow."
As soon as Mari Kyoko finished speaking, Lin Yi was first taken aback.
Then his eyebrows furrowed tightly:
"Is this information reliable?"
Then Lin Yi looked at this player from the He Clan Battle Zone and asked:
"And why are you telling this?"
Faced with Lin Yi’s doubt, Mari Kyoko smiled slightly:
"I won’t say how I got the information."
"As for why I’m telling you..."
Here Mari Kyoko played coy:
"It’s a secret for now."
Then an array for Return to City appeared at Mari Kyoko’s feet. She cautioned Lin Yi while looking at him:
"Don’t be careless at all."
"I’ve heard Goryeo has so secret weapon, they are determined to succeed in this operation."
"Good luck to you."
As soon as she finished speaking, Mari Kyoko disappeared in the Return to City array, leaving Lin Yi standing in the snowstorm in silence.
The He Clan and Goryeo teaming up to cause trouble?
And they chose a ti when Hua Country players might be at their most lax in defense.
As anyone from Hua Country would know, New Year’s Eve is a ti of family reunion.
During this ti, most people in Hua Country are with family in real life, having New Year’s Eve dinner, watching the Spring Festival Gala, and so on.
Even if soone doesn’t care about these, they might gather a few friends to go out and have fun. However one spends it, even players in the ga would be imrsed in the festive atmosphere.
Both vigilance and gaming atmosphere would be relaxed.
If Goryeo and the He Clan chose this ti, if it’s true, it speaks volus about their understanding of Hua Country as a forr vassal state in the early years.
This matter is significant, and Lin Yi dared not hesitate. He quickly returned to the city to find Shengshi Drunkard, who was leveling outside of White Tiger City.
Originally, Shengshi Drunkard had sothing to discuss with Lin Yi, but after hearing the news Lin Yi just received, he was slightly shocked and looked at Lin Yi:
"Is this information reliable?"
Lin Yi didn’t ntion Mari Kyoko’s na, only saying it was news from a friend in the He Clan Battle Zone.
However, Shengshi Drunkard quickly linked up the relationships between Hua Country, Goryeo, and the He Clan Battle Zones in his mind and ca to a conclusion.
Shengshi Drunkard was a bit apprehensive:
"If you hadn’t ntioned it, I wouldn’t have paid much attention."
"Now hearing you say it, why do I suddenly feel a chill down my spine?"
But soon, Shengshi Drunkard’s eyebrows furrowed again, puzzled:
"But with such a large-scale move, it’s unreasonable that my brothers in the He Clan haven’t heard any rumblings!"
To this, Lin Yi could only say:
"Better to believe it exists than to not believe it does."
Shengshi Drunkard nodded, saying:
"I’ll discuss this with Lord and the others. We’ll see what to do then."
Lin Yi didn’t say much more. As long as Shengshi Drunkard and the others were on guard, there shouldn’t be any major issues.
Then Lin Yi curiously asked:
"You said you had sothing to discuss with ? What is it?"
"Oh, it’s like this."
Drunkard rembered the matter and told Lin Yi:
"I talked it over with Lord and the others. We plan to make a move on the 4th Border City in the Indonesia Battle Zone on the evening of New Year’s Day. You must be there by then!"
"And bring your formidable crew."
Other than Lin Yi, the recognized number one player in the ga, every mber of Lin Yi’s rcenary Corps was among the top hundred powerful players in the Hua Country War Zone’s strength charts.
For any Guild, they are top-tier combat power!
If these people could join the City Seizing War, the chances of victory in Drunkard’s mind would increase by at least thirty to forty percent.
But just as Shengshi Drunkard finished speaking, Lin Yi proposed a different viewpoint:
"I have a suggestion."
"If those people really make a move on us during New Year’s Eve, why don’t we reciprocate?"
Upon hearing this, Shengshi Drunkard was montarily stunned:
