Physical strength and spirit surged within the body, like a roaring river rushing to an unknown distance, the water continuously pouring down and vanishing at the end, as if devoured by an unknown downstream.
Gu Mo could feel himself calling out to an existence on the other side of ti and space, a connection he had felt ever since acquiring his Guardian Spirit... It was an inexplicable and mysterious link established on the level of perception and mind.
This allowed him to sense the exact existence of the Guardian Spirit, making it naturally clear that the Guardian Spirit seed to be beside him, but in reality, it was rely a projection of sorts.
Thus, under normal circumstances, it only provided a constant protective effect, like an aura that offered so passive buff enhancents, neither too great nor too small... However, if he wished to actively channel the formidable power of the Guardian Spirit to directly interfere with the material world, he needed to consu spiritual power.
He had no magical power, demonic power, or similar mystical forces, so naturally, he could only compensate using his own physical strength and spirit.
Coming from the other side to here, amidst the swirling whirlwind and burning flas, it was enveloped in a shining light, displaying a noble and beautiful posture akin to the legendary Phantom Beast.
Its form was fox-like with nine tails, its body covered in fiery red fur...
Its relatively large size was presumably because it was inherently a very large fox, as imposing as a lion or tiger, and its nine grand tails waved behind it like flas, enhancing its size visually.
As if amidst the continuously overflowing dazzling light, the figure of the fla-wreathed Phantom Beast occupied all the space, causing the corridor to suddenly appear narrower.
Its gaze was sharp, standing proudly in front of those it protected, seemingly looking down upon the approaching Wet Woman, that five or six-ter-long half-human, half-snake demon on fire.
At that very mont, the latter, who was charging forward, suddenly began to brake forcefully. Due to speed, inertia, and its weight, it carved a long, deep groove on the corridor floor before coming to a stop, its forrly spiteful eyes now filled only with fear and disbelief.
But it was already too late.
The elegant Nine-tailed Fox seed to make no visible movent, as if an invisible shockwave swept through the space, or as if a giant laser beam flashed through the air... In short, even Gu Mo, standing behind the great fox, couldn’t quite tell; it was all too unclear.
The five or six-ter-long snake’s movent froze, fixed in its original position, maintaining the peculiar posture of an ergency stop as if its entire body had turned rigid, turned to stone.
Then, in the next instant, it shattered without warning, its body exploding into fragnts, scattering as fine ash on the ground...
Unexpectedly, at so unknown point, the entire large snake had already turned into complete charcoal from the inside out, not just roasted but thoroughly burnt, as if the invisible wave that skimd through the air, or the laser beam that flashed through the corridor, had, in an instant, incinerated it to ash at the cellular level!
Silently, in utter stillness.
Only the distant wood crackled and popped in the flas.
This terrifying destructive power left Gu Mo sowhat stunned. He had imagined it would be a thrilling hunt or at the very least the Nine-tails wielding fire, flashy effects without restraint to magnificently obliterate the Wet Woman disguised as human.
But who could have thought it would turn out this way, as if the big fox could incinerate any enemy in a straight line with just a glance, turning them into charred remains, leaving a trail of inorganic gray ash on the ground combusted to ashes.
However, the rapidly depleting energy quickly brought him back to his senses, his expression changing slightly.
The intense depletion from summoning the Guardian Spirit, combined with the constant drain of energy from residing in the Constant Dark Domain, created a dual consumption that he found extrely unbearable, especially after having already expended a considerable amount of energy, now feeling as if he might soon be unable to continue.
Gu Mo swiftly made a decision, preparing to utilize this precious ti for the Guardian Spirit to race against ti, charging toward the center of the battlefield he had just left, when he suddenly felt his body lighten.
The black-and-white toned space shed its Underworld filter...
The Other Shore Flowers scattered on the ground did not bloom again after withering...
Everything in his field of view returned to its normal color and appearance, no longer having the feeling of walking within an ink painting; the Constant Dark Domain suddenly dissipated at this mont.
The powerful Demon Ghost that unfolded this Constant Dark Domain was defeated at this very juncture by Ah Xiu?!
Gu Mo imdiately realized, despite having failed to land the final blow at the last mont, feeling slightly regretful, he did not hesitate for a mont to interrupt the continuous summoning of the Guardian Spirit, the opened floodgate sensation finally halted, and his physical strength and spirit stopped plumting.
Surrounded by flas with no harm inflicted upon him despite their proximity, the great fox turned around, quietly sitting there, elegant and noble, its calm eyes reflecting his image.
Then, after a few more breaths, as if losing its connection with the present world, its contour began to blur, its figure gradually becoming transparent and fading away, eventually disappearing from the present world... Of course, this was what objectively happened, yet to Gu Mo, it did not appear this way.
