"We really should think this through... After all, she is one of the Seven Lucky Gods. If sothing were to happen to her here, it would be quite troubleso for us." Yato let out a slight sigh of relief; he didn't want to be inexplicably issued a wanted notice on the High Celestial Plain for sothing he didn't do.

Especially since he was still counting on landing a governnt job, he subconsciously hoped to avoid this kind of unfortunate situation.

"Hmm, I might have an idea. I'll leave these Divine Artifacts to you to handle. Later, tell them their master is in my hands..."

Gu Mo nodded as he watched the various Divine Artifacts on the ground, contemplating as he spoke.

"If they don't want any trouble, they'd better behave... If anyone has other thoughts, you handle it as you see fit. Anyway, I can leave this land anyti. If word gets out and brings trouble, that's your problem."

He already had so ideas. After all, with Visakha in his grasp, there were indeed many clever maneuvers to consider, such as utilizing these Divine Artifacts. Except for that traitorous white-eyed wolf, the others were all fiercely loyal to the golden-haired Valkyrie.

It's just a pity that Gu Mo was actually an impostor, unable to use this world's unique Divine Artifact group.

However—

Not being able to change their allegiance and personally command them doesn't an they can't be useful. Stories of using authority over the emperor to govern the feudal lords aren't exactly new.

So they remain a powerful aid and should co in handy when dealing with the Father of Yato, allowing a stronger offensive, even though his own plan promised a high chance of success. But who wouldn't appreciate an extra layer of security?

"...Okay..."

Yato had no idea the person opposite him was contemplating how to hunt his father, yet asking for his help in the matter. He could only sigh, feeling that this was the other side asking him to prove his loyalty.

He couldn't refuse, and at least it showed that this enigmatic being, neither demon nor god, didn't plan to turn on him soon, otherwise there'd be no need for such asures.

"Let help you with that."

Seeing Yato's expression, Ichijima Hiyori forced a smile and stepped forward, trying to help pick up the inert Divine Artifacts.

"No need, don't touch these, I'll handle it..." Yato stopped her. "Corruption can spread, rember that. I need to first move them to the shrine to purify them with cleansing water."

He could tell that these silent beings weren't sealed by any power or restrained by restrictions; they were simply and brutally invaded by Demon Qi. If not resolved quickly, each one of them was bound to fall into demonhood.

Touching them now was just inviting trouble for Ichijima Hiyori, already living precariously. Such an aura was highly dangerous for her.

"Is that so?"

Ichijima Hiyori nodded, sowhat understanding, yet lacking a clear picture of the situation. Yato sighed once more, but there was no helping it; she wasn't a proper Divine Artifact, at least not yet.

Unaware of Yato's thoughts, and realizing she had nothing to do, Ichijima Hiyori couldn't help but survey her surroundings. As she gazed at the fallen trees and chaotic scene, she felt relief alongside a lingering fear, evident in her pale complexion.

——This ti was truly perilous.

Since agreeing to be Yato's quasi-Divine Artifact, she had accompanied him on assignnts and fought several tis, usually involving eliminating demons. Those encounters mostly involved low-level spirits or naless monsters that Yato could handle barehanded, and with a Divine Artifact, it was effortless.

Thus, Ichijima Hiyori thought that's just how Divine Artifacts were, even if it starkly contrasted with her expectations and childhood legends.

For instance, wasn't the famous Kusanagi no Tsurugi supposed to be drawn from the body of the eight-headed, eight-tailed serpent? How did divine tools transform from human souls? Many legends didn't add up, and so even contained conflicting details.

Nevertheless, the girl didn't dwell much on the secrets of the Gods and Divine Artifacts, rely finding it peculiar, while feeling her job was perhaps just like this.

She hadn't felt pressured, nor did she bear any psychological burden when combating those spirits.

Until this ti, facing the renowned Visakha, she endured imnse pressure, fearing she might be snapped and et death any mont, a horrifying realization that led to a deeper understanding... and psychological scars.

This was also why Yato quickly lost the battle. Currently, he was no match for Visakha, and the Divine Artifact's spirit influenced the master's performance. Ichijima Hiyori's uncertainty naturally hampered his power.
