Based on the original tiline, at least it should be after Coral joins the protagonist group, Inuyasha battles the Dragon Bone Spirit, and masters the Blast Stream Break technique, so it shouldn’t be a major issue for another month or two... Gu Mo wasn’t too worried, and besides, the seal can be reinforced further.
There’s still plenty of ti now.
In the original plot, this demon sword was able to run amok mainly because nobody in the modern world knew about it, or even recognized it, and naturally wouldn’t know its true nature or potential dangers, nor were they aware that its seal was about to expire... No one cared, and no one renewed the seal, allowing the demon sword to unseal itself.
But Gu Mo, who knew everything, naturally wouldn’t just watch such a thing happen.
He held it in his hand, closed the storage room door, and walked out quietly. Originally planning to leave just like that, as he passed by Grandpa Himura’s room, he thought for a mont and looked again at the demon sword he was about to take away, then gently knocked on the door.
It wasn’t long before Grandpa Himura opened the door.
The old man rubbed his sleepy eyes, looking bewilderedly at the door, wondering who could be knocking at this hour.
When he saw that it was the young man again, his face fell instantly. Is there sothing wrong with this guy? He already told him before that it’s very late now, everyone is supposed to be resting, and not to disturb others... and yet here he is, directly knocking and waking him up?!
But before the old man could frown and start scolding, the young man spoke first—
"Elder, I want to ask, how much for this sword?"
"...This sword?"
The old man was taken aback, looked at the ancient straight blade the other was holding, and then reacted; wasn’t this the treasure sword stored in the storage room? According to legend, it was unearthed by the ancestors of the Himura Family, supposedly the true form of the famous Kusanagi no Tsurugi, the divine artifact obtained by Susanoo after slaying the Eight-Headed Giant Serpent!
Of course, that’s just the story; in reality, the old man didn’t believe it himself, and also didn’t think there was any issue selling it... Even though it was an heirloom, they had so many of such items, like dried kappa hands and the like.
He was always troubled about how to deal with these supposedly impressive yet worthless items, and now that soone was willing to buy one, there was certainly no reason to refuse.
"Ahem, you see this, let tell you, this sword is a family heirloom of the Himura Family, and it’s said to be one of the three divine artifacts, the fabled Kusanagi no Tsurugi. In principle, it’s not for sale..."
Grandpa Himura faked a cough, speaking with a serious face, though his expression vividly revealed the thought of "it’s negotiable for a higher price."
"Is that so? Well, could you please na a price..."
Gu Mo flashed a cheerful smile and spoke with an air of one who’s not short of money, strangely giving off a vibe of soone naive with lots of cash.
Later, Himura Kago and the others might find out about this, but since he bought Cloudy Fang outright, its ownership was naturally his, and he wouldn’t have to worry about accusations of stealing from their house, or feel guilty using it.
Well, if in the future, using this sword does cause them so trouble, and they find out that the demon sword was purchased from Himura Kago’s family... he hoped they’d be understanding.
He laughed heartily, while the old man who had just reluctantly nad what he thought was a high price began to have second thoughts—could it be that his offer was too low? Otherwise, why was the young man so happy?

A few minutes later.
"Thank you for your patronage, thank you for your patronage, do co again, make yourself at ho whenever you’re free..."
Standing at the entrance, Grandpa Himura grinned from ear to ear, happily sending off this distinguished patron, waving as he encouraged the young man to co by and select more items if he saw anything he liked, assuring him that the Himura Shrine is an ancient shrine, having stood since the Warring States Era five hundred years ago, surviving through dynasties.
With such a long heritage and deep roots, this grand shrine surely contains many genuine antiquities, and he promises satisfaction.
"Alright, alright, I’ll definitely co by again..."
Gu Mo nodded repeatedly, thinking if there were any more treasures, he would surely return.
anwhile, he couldn’t help wondering; the Himura Shrine, established since the Warring States Era five hundred years ago, could only have been built by Himura Kago when she traveled back to that era... which posed an interesting question.
So, does that an Himura Kago is... her own ancestor?
Contemplating this, Gu Mo turned and left the Himura residence, while the old man waved cheerfully, reluctantly shutting the door, exhilarated as this was indeed a significant transaction, far better than the unwilling sales of Four Souls Jade morabilia he used to struggle with.
The old man was so happy, his joy was utterly pure, completely overlooking the fact that this transaction itself might seem a bit bizarre.
