The distant Witch raised an eyebrow. Though strictly speaking it was still a Demon, the opponent’s physical body was no longer within the special attack range of her Power of Demon-Breaking. The effect could not be said to be undesirable, only disappointingly low to an unprecedented degree...
Her Power of Demon-Breaking was ant to eradicate all impurities. However, Kaguya’s body happened to be the purest and most transparent Celestial Body. Regardless of how it ca to be, her physical form no longer belonged to the realm of Evil Demons. No special attack could be launched, no attributes restrained it, and the threat of the Demon-Breaking Arrow didn’t pose much to her.
"Very well... you have truly angered ..."
Kaguya laughed in her fury. She had initially thought reclaiming her Feather Robe and returning to her peak state would be a walk in the park, yet was unexpectedly hindered midway by these two, continuously escalating her anger to a critical point.
Though the opponents were sowhat restricted, bound by the city setting, she, sealed for five hundred years, could hardly claim her condition was as if before—she too was terribly weakened... But now, holding back served no purpose if she could not reclaim the Celestial Maiden’s Feather Robe.
Her murderous intent surged violently, her form shooting skyward, gazing down over the entire city from above.
The Life Mirror flashed with radiant light, then violently ejected a massive black sphere.
It was like a dark celestial body, as if a miniature black hole had torn open above the city, with fierce energy waves roiling within, casting a far more terrifying pressure than thunder... At this mont, the stirring crowds everywhere or further afield were left agape as they watched.
"Die, all of you!!"
With an angry shout, black lightning bolts rained densely from the enormous black sphere, smashing down onto the city beneath, as if each bolt was powerful enough to obliterate an entire street!
However, these black, twisted bolts all descended upon the expansive defense barrier, shimring like an energy shield.
Kikyo’s face betrayed a weary expression.
"Yes, experience your despair and helplessness well. I will see to it that vile woman... no, both of you die before my eyes in the most agonizing ways..." Kaguya’s voice rang sinisterly behind the Witch, as if she had foreseen it all.
She hadn’t counted on this large AOE to succeed. Its sole purpose was to affect the surroundings, harming innocents, forcing this despicable Witch to disperse her power to save them, providing her a breakthrough point!
"...!!"
Expression slightly changed, Kikyo didn’t turn around but instead flipped her wrist, casting a Curse Talisman backward.
"Naive!"
Kaguya wielded her hairpin-turned-yellow sword, her expression icy, cleaving the Talisman in two, unabating in montum...
Perhaps impeded slightly, a brief respite was gained; abruptly, a black sword edge slashed in from the side, forcefully deflecting her sword!
"Heh heh, waiting for you! I said I’d see you both endure excruciating deaths... don’t think you’ll die swiftly or neatly!"
The demon cloaked in the guise of a Celestial Maiden sneered, unleashing a fierce slash as the mirror hovering before her preditatedly unleashed dozens of purple light whips, fiercely entwining forward! Her nature was exceedingly deceitful and treacherous; otherwise, how could she have devoured the descended Celestial Maiden?
Gu Mo only felt a trendous force surge forth, numbing his arms, and inevitably, he was sent flying backward.
Even in his Demonized State, augnted by a Four Souls Fragnt, his physical prowess hardly rivaled a true Great Demon... Kaguya excelled not only in Spells; her lee skills were astonishing, seeming frail yet possessing strength possibly surpassing Inuyasha!
But just as he began to soar backward, the montum abruptly stopped; Gu Mo felt his limbs swiftly entwined by the purple light whips, tightly bound midair.
Ferociously dragging her captive and the Witch apart amid wild laughter, Kaguya observed the Witch’s evident disorientation, relishing in a profound satisfaction. She beckoned the mirror back to her hand.
"What I want to accomplish! No one can stop it!"
Kaguya smiled venomously, though her deanor was elegant like a Princess, her deanor expressed a sense of wickedness akin to a vile queen. She strode before her captive, bound at wrists and ankles, raising the mirror to reflect his image coldly.
"I vowed to transform you into a complete Demon, and so I will! No one can stop ..."
Glancing back at the Witch, her gaze displayed a sinister smile.
"Before my sealing, I heard of a foolish Witch and an equally foolish Half-Demon. Your situation resembles theirs... A Witch and a Half-Demon duo, huh? If that’s the case, I’ll ensure you face the sa fate."
Kikyo’s expression shifted, her gaze turning dangerously sharp.
Unaware, Kaguya continued reciting her malicious script: "I’ll make him a full-fledged Demon, then... have him kill you for !"
She couldn’t possibly let these two off easily!
She must! Make them die excruciating deaths! Even in their next lives, they will regret the folly of opposing her!
Kikyo bit her lower lip firmly, refraining from clarifying their relationship. She could no longer maintain composure, especially since Kaguya’s vile sche struck straight at her most painful scar.
If she and the other due to this Demon’s deliberate manipulation ended up killing each other... what difference was there from the scene she experienced fifty years ago?
"Co! Beco a complete Demon and kill that Witch for ..."
Amid her gleeful malice, Kaguya turned, her voice shrill with anticipation.
Yet—
Before the words were fully uttered, a sickening squelch was heard.
Blood spattered, and Kaguya shockingly gazed down at the hand pressed against her left chest... No, not pressing, but piercing through, her heart gripped tightly behind her as hot blood incessantly dripped from sharp, elongated nails.
"You... You... How could..."
She looked up, stunned, at the Half-Demon she had tightly bound, whose Technique hadn’t even begun, wondering how he could...
"Insane... If I wanted to beco a complete Demon, do I need you to teach ?"
A sowhat low voice resonated as Gu Mo’s eyes flashed with dangerous red light. His fox ears remained unchanged, yet behind him, nine large tails unfurled in Kaguya’s pupils like a peacock displaying its plumage.
"You... you’re not a Half-Demon; you are a full Demon..."
Kaguya’s voice trembled, unclear whether with pain or suppressed rage.
She sensed the wildly ascending, seemingly limitless, pure Demon Qi from him and imdiately realized what it signified. No wonder her initial attempt at transforming him into a complete Demon’s Technique failed to take effect, as he had no room for change...
This was a Great Demon masking its true form!
