Now reading: Chapter 37 - 15: The Warring States’ Number One Great Demon from I Can See Health Bars in Real Life, a Fantasy novel by Momentary brilliance.

In this endless tornt, the Hungry Ghosts naturally have no ability to think. The hungrier they are, the more desperately they eat, even devouring their kind... desperately trying to quench their thirst, yet driven mad by the eternal hunger that can never be satisfied, a vicious cycle.

That’s why the battle and commotion just now didn’t attract its attention. It was just desperately devouring the corpses right in front of it within reach. To divert its attention, unless the corpses were eaten clean, or... so fresher flesh appeared nearby.

Just like now, the little Hungry Ghost frantically devouring a corpse suddenly stopped its head-swaying, flesh-tearing action, as it slled the fresh scent of a living person—

Crack!

A violent kick powered by a burst of power shot out, with the tip of the foot lightning-fast kicking the little Hungry Ghost that turned around, hitting directly on its bulging, distended belly glowing with a faint yellowish essence. This was the weak point of the Hungry Ghosts in Gu Mo’s mory!

"Wow!"

Emitting a sound like a child screaming, the little Hungry Ghost was kicked back by Gu Mo’s unreserved surprise attack. However, it revealed a fierce look, about to get up and pounce over, opening its blood-curdling mouth wide enough to swallow a human head, about to let out a...

Before it could scream, a rusty short blade fiercely stabbed into its mouth like lightning!

Under the full force of the bulging muscled arm, though the blade was not particularly sharp, it still pierced through the relatively fragile wide-open mouth, straight through the throat, and protruded from the back of the little Hungry Ghost’s head, pinning its head to the ground!

It didn’t die right away; instead, it struggled more violently, its strength even more terrifying. However, the attacker did not end the assault but flipped it to the ground. When the throat was pinned to the ground with a knife, they stood up and lifted their foot, stomping down fiercely with the most ruthless power and speed!

With a muffled bang, it was like stepping on a ripe waterlon, and the little Hungry Ghost’s belly burst open!

Black foul blood splattered, carrying a stench.

Gu Mo didn’t stop because the neural commands had already been issued. His body faithfully executed the brain’s previous idea, stomping down repeatedly with all his might until his foot was numb from the impact and had no feeling, then he stopped, gasping for breath.

He had no experience, didn’t know if he could succeed, so he couldn’t afford to hold back. From the beginning, he had to go all out to kill this little Hungry Ghost.

Only after several seconds did he co to his senses, looking at the disgusting monster lying dead on the ground, and his brain slowly began to regain the ability to think.

It was indeed a bit dangerous just now; when he was still at a distance, this thing detected him and turned around. At that mont, he didn’t have ti to think, and his body responded faster than his mind, not standing frozen in fear but ferociously pouncing forward.

Everything after that depended solely on instinct, not developing as he had imagined. For example, the weapon didn’t end up cutting open the Hungry Ghost’s belly but rely served as a handy ans of control...

Not ideal but relatively smooth.

Overall, it turned out quite well.

After taking a few breaths, Gu Mo revealed a satisfied smile. This was the first little monster he killed, his starting point, and at that mont, he was suddenly filled with confidence for the future.

However, his expression froze slightly because, not far away, a black-haired girl stood there at so unknown ti, watching him with a subtle and peculiar gaze as if he had accomplished so impressive achievent by killing a little Hungry Ghost with so much effort.

—Behind her, in the distant graveyard, a gigantic minotaur monster lay fallen like a mountain, its corpse long silent.

—In stark contrast with the little monster corpse at his feet.
