Now reading: Chapter 479 5: Chaldea, Merlin, and the Eastern Immortal from I Can See Health Bars in Real Life, a Fantasy novel by Momentary brilliance.

In the ruins, amidst the scorched remnants and collapsed walls as far as the eye can see.

Two young girls are sowhat bewilderedly surveying their surroundings.

The girl with red hair and orange eyes is wearing a white shirt and a deep blue knee-length skirt, black over-the-knee socks and long boots. It's a magical attire exclusively crafted by Chaldea for the last Master of humanity, combining ease of movent and practicality, with sufficient protection performance to allow the Master to withstand more intense battles and operate in complex environnts.

It also has nurous solidification magic effects added, enabling the Master to have a certain level of combat capability, able to support the Servant's battles… although this is largely covered by the effects of the Command Spell.

In front of the red-haired girl, there's another girl in purple armor, holding a massive shield, with short pink hair. She is cautiously guarding the forr behind her while seriously examining the environnt around them.

"The result is out… we were just forcefully expelled by the barrier."

At this mont, a lodious voice breaks the air's silence and tranquility: "It seems that Uruk City has set up a defense barrier, presumably for protection against attacks."

The speaker remains unseen, as if the air around them vibrates to produce the sound.

The shield-bearing girl is first stunned, then quickly cos to a realization: "… So, we were just bounced out by the defense barrier."

The spiritual particle transfer was not sothing new they've experienced, as they relied on this unimaginable technology to travel to each singularity, repairing the distorted history and thwarting an individual claiming to be the Magic King from attempting to incinerate humanity's foundation, until this seventh singularity, which theoretically should be the last exploration of the Holy Grail.

However, this entry was sowhat unexpected, as when they arrived in the world of this ti period, they appeared directly two hundred ters in the air.

And then—

Fell downwards.

If it wasn't for their tily reaction, they would have truly died before their mission even started, a death that would have likely seed rather comical… And after a successful hard landing, they reestablished contact with Chaldea and began to speculate, filled with so doubt and paranoia.

Could it be that the mastermind, seeing their points of ignition set in human history to incinerate humanity being eliminated one by one, beca anxious now that there's only this era's last singularity left, and secretly took action against them?

The spiritual particle transfer seed to have been deliberately sabotaged, which must not be overlooked.

But now, according to Chaldea's investigation, it seems they successfully reached the originally intended destination upon being transferred, appearing directly in the era's largest fortress city, and were then directly ejected by the defense barrier, likely mistaken as intruders.

Having understood all of this, the two slightly relaxed and began to earnestly observe the current state of this singularity.

Chaldea can currently only maintain stable contact, as this singularity is set during the early Dynastic era in 2600 BC, on the ancient land of sopotamia, in the Tigris-Euphrates River Basin, a motherly world influencing many civilizations.

It is one of the veritable oldest civilizations, occurring in nearly the sa period as Ancient Egypt, considered the beginning of human history.

From a magic perspective, this era marks the end of the divine age, the last fantasy century on Earth where gods and monsters exist in daily life… The further back in ti they go, the more difficult spiritual particle transfer becos, making arriving in this era more challenging than any previous singularities.

"Though we're computing coordinates here, the observational accuracy is very low, perhaps due to the overwhelming amount of information!"

"It's indeed the world before Christ, the magic power concentration in the atmosphere is so high that the information processing speed can't keep up."

Dr. Roman from Chaldea stated this, under such circumstances, they could only analyze clues based on the information witnessed through the two girls' perspectives, and the two were prepared for this, carefully confirming and initially gathering information about this era.

"The band of light in the sky… sure enough, it's here too."

The short-haired shield-bearing girl gazes at the sky, noticing that the swirling band of light in the sky still exists.

Initially looking from the ground, it's very easy to mistake its outline as a massive celestial body near the planet's orbit, raising doubts of not being on Earth but on an extraterrestrial planet.

However, she knows clearly, through Chaldea's observation and confirmation, that this entity is a halo surrounding Earth, a light band declaring the end of mankind.

After a brief discussion, the two start moving toward Uruk, as they had initially transferred to this era, directly reaching the destination, but being bounced far away by the defense barrier made the journey long again, requiring them to trek over a great distance once more.

There's nothing in these ruins, staying here is aningless.

Having crossed six singularities as Master and Servant, they know better than to foolishly stand idly by, doing nothing… Perhaps the human world, eager for self-rescue, is on their side, and the restraining force will help them to its fullest extent in ways it can.
