"Good morning..."
On the morning after, stepping out of the cabin, Gu Mo stretched lazily and then raised his hand to greet Hiri, who was practicing in the morning.
Of course, he hadn’t slept that night as expected; in fact, for the past three months, he hadn’t slept at all, always appearing full of energy. However, the ti was not rely wasted, most of it was spent in recharging himself.
From the Immortal’s journal, he repeatedly perused and pondered, absorbing knowledge to further enrich himself, continually digging into the wisdom and thoughts of the predecessors. Simultaneously, he sought guidance from Kikyo, the knowledgeable Shinto Priestess, on the essentials of the Yin Yang Technique, occasionally exchanging gemstones for lectures from Ishtar...
Even the vast unique knowledge Hiri held, along with the magic training she received—all this unique knowledge and experiences from the Otherworld, he sincerely sought to learn from—
Wisdom is not revelation; it’s ticulously sought.
But as Lady Goddess naturally believes, this Immortal probably wants to broaden their knowledge purely out of interest, and Hiri thinks likewise, so they don’t suspect much. They don’t realize that Gu Mo deeply understands his greatest shortcomings, which is why he’s making efforts to compensate.
As long as there are gemstones, everything naturally goes well; if Gu Mo could supply gemstones infinitely, she definitely wouldn’t mind selling herself...
The latter feels sowhat embarrassed, as she wants to follow the other to learn, and the other holds nothing back. She’s vexed about not being able to provide corresponding paynt, worried about owing too much, so it’s rare for the other to be interested in what she knows—naturally, she can’t refuse.
"Good morning." Hiri replied a greeting without taking her eyes off, tightly gripping the Silver Sword.
The Demon Hunter Girl is always diligent; today, she got up early to practice swordsmanship outside. But this ti, it’s not her Demon Hunter swordsmanship; she’s swinging another set of moves, which feels slow and deliberate, like the Tai Chi Sword practiced by elders in the park for health preservation.
"The sword is re mortal iron, endowed with spirit through wielding, moved by essence, lived by blood, and died by lack of thought... The focus here is spirit communication with the sword, so swordsmanship is not the priority."
Gu Mo walked up to the white-haired girl, tilted his head to observe, and then said in a sowhat lazy voice, "You’re being too deliberate; you also feel it’s uncomfortable, right? You can actually use the swordsmanship you’re familiar with to train, or do nothing and sit here trying to communicate with the sword..."
"Ah? There’s such a theory?"
The white-haired girl’s eyes slightly widened, indeed, she wasn’t accustod to this slow swordsmanship. But she always thought it was necessary, perhaps like so magic requiring complicated rituals.
"Yes, but actually a faster way is directly forging a Spirit Sword instead of trying to let a non-spiritual weapon communicate with spirits. Compared to the forr, the latter indeed feels unrewarding..." Gu Mo blinked his eyes, contemplated briefly, and said.
"Making mortal iron communicate with spirits isn’t easy; even if everything goes smoothly, it takes three to five years to succeed, and after spending so much ti, you’ll rely et the entry-level conditions to start practicing Sword Control Technique..."
Forging a Spirit Sword directly allows for nurturing and spirit communication and then starts learning the Flying Sword Technique. The other thod requires three to five years for preliminary preparation, assuming everything goes smoothly, to et entry conditions and begin touching the Flying Sword Technique.
If simply there were no ans or conditions, one wouldn’t usually choose the latter. However, the white-haired girl listened sowhat helplessly as she had no conditions; the Silver Sword she had was rely a standard Demon Hunter Silver Sword, nothing special.
"Or you could ask Kikyo; she knows a thod... but it’s rather sinister, and if she doesn’t think you can control it, she might not tell you."
Gu Mo earnestly thought about it and suggested this way. As he himself couldn’t forge swords and lacked any related skills, it was not convenient to take more responsibility; otherwise, he wouldn’t mind engaging so goodwill as Hiri is a high-level talent he’s targeted, not harming emotional investnt.
Though lacking the capability to forge swords, even the knowledge he held was from the skill badge of Sword Control Technique that inherently carried related knowledge. However, it didn’t an he had no solutions; after so thought, he decisively delegated the task to the Witch.
Once, while discussing matters about the Demon Blade, Kikyo ntioned an alternate approach for making mortal iron communicate with spirits: swearing on the weapon frequently used and stained with one’s and enemies’ blood, using that weapon to slay enemies, reaching a certain number...
The stronger the enemies and the more killed, the stronger the weapon’s spirituality accumulates... or should it be said it’s sinister? Isn’t this the way to transform a mortal weapon into a Demon Blade?
Gu Mo rembered in the original plot of the previous ga, the leader among the seven was using this thod: using the Barbaric Dragon Halberd to slay one thousand Demons, ultimately transforming the Halberd into a Demon Blade comparable to Iron Shattering Fang, indeed there was such a precedent.
