This is the secret repository Gilgash built to collect all the treasures of the world. Inside, it's naturally resplendent, with piles of gold, silver, and jewels stacking into mountains. This is not a taphorical description but an actual depiction.
Even the three portions of ore reserves they had agreed upon beforehand were an astonishing amount.
