The teleportation gate opened as scheduled.
The group stepped out from it, already returned to the reality of Penglai Island.
The spiritual qi was clear and abundant, not much inferior to the Divine Era Magic Power environnt of the dungeon world they had just left. Seeing the familiar scenery of the island, the Demon Hunter Girl let out a long sigh of relief, feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off her chest, and relaxed all over.
"I knew it! I did it!!" She happily clenched her fist, almost jumping up with excitent.
Even though she had always had a strange premonition that her world-traveling ability had undergone so peculiar change, no longer being completely at the rcy of fate like before, where she'd randomly open a door and end up in whatever world without precise targeting, with no way to return to the tis and places she had visited...
Instead, it seed to have beco precisely controllable. At least after entering the world line of "Fate/Grand Order" this ti, she had this unexplainable feeling that she could open a door and return to this real world.
But... this kind of mysterious feeling was just that, a feeling.
Before actual practice verification, Hiri was also sowhat nervously uneasy.
Until now, after verifying that her feeling was correct, and achieving the precise return through the door for the first ti, she couldn't be more excited. After all, the ability of the Gate of All Realms is her greatest reliance at present, and any improvent in this area naturally ans everything to the Demon Hunter Girl.
Indeed, Gu Mo was also quite satisfied.
He looked around, taking in the long-lost scenery of Penglai Island. This was the first ti he felt so comfortable entering and exiting a dungeon, directly having Hiri open the teleportation gate to enter the dungeon, and also having her open the teleportation gate to return to the real world.
Thinking back to the past struggles, it's imaginable that during his first official dungeon, just finding the way to exit back to reality was like experiencing wilderness survival...
Gu Mo recalled the hardships and asked:
"Hiri, now try to open the teleportation gate back to the previous location?"
"Mm, let see..." The Demon Hunter Girl nodded vigorously, calming herself down. She first waved her hand to retract the teleportation gate behind her, severing the link to that ti-space, and then carefully sensed, soon showing a surprised expression.
Hiri tried to reopen a teleportation gate, and the light screen vortex behind it connected to another world again.
After a brief test, they indeed found themselves back in the previously left dungeon world. After successfully precisely locating their return to this real world, Hiri then imdiately reopened the gate to return to the recently departed dungeon world, which seed to be enough to show that her ability had undergone a qualitative change.
"I don't know how to describe it... but I can just feel the worlds I've been to..."
Excitedly saying so, the Demon Hunter Girl seed to beco cheerful, but then slightly lowered and said gloomily, "But right now I can only feel this world and the previous one, with no sense of those before them whatsoever..."
Perhaps because she was chased by the Wild Hunt, after arriving in this person's world, her ability broke through, so it only recorded the coordinates of the recently located two worlds?
The Demon Hunter Girl mused over this, feeling it was a reasonable explanation, yet it left her quite dejected. While her world-traveling ability had beco precisely controllable, she had no sensory location of previous worlds, aning she couldn't directly return to the world she longed for.
"This is already very good. Compared to the previous complete lack of control, this is a huge improvent." Gu Mo consoled.
"You're right, the progress I've made now is already significant. I was just being a bit greedy..." Hiri sighed long and nodded, adjusting her mindset.
Gu Mo blinked, saying nothing more. He suspected it wasn't Hiri's ability that had progressed, but rather that his dimwitted system had loaded so functionalities onto her, combining them with her world-traveling ability and managing dungeon permissions through her.
In other words, her current positioning is probably akin to a function NPC character.
It would be easy to verify this, just to see if once left alone, her current ability improvents can be maintained... but there's no need. It's quite good now; Hiri manages the dungeons, and he provides her protection. There will be opportunities to completely resolve her troubles in the future.
Hmm, this counts as a win-win...
"Eh, you're back already..."
Probably sensing the group's presence, Miss Naoki erged from the belly of Clanging Cauldron Mountain nearby, looking at them in surprise. The woman, with a visage akin to a witch but appearing much gentler without much coldness, spoke:
"I thought it would take so more ti."
"Long ti no see, Naoki... Uh, how long has it been?" Gu Mo raised an eyebrow, greeting with a gesture, also checking the real-world ti elapsed this dungeon visit had consud.
"Well... not even half a day." Naoki glanced at him.
From her perspective, it seed as if everyone had set out in the morning and returned by midday. However, as perceptive as she was, she naturally sensed a difference in the group compared to when they left, especially this man; it felt like the trace of Demon Qi on him was gone.
"Less than half a day..."
Gu Mo quickly pondered for a mont, realizing that less than half a day on Penglai Island ant that in the real world, only about twenty days or so might have passed.
But for them, they had spent over a hundred days in the dungeon world. In this light, the flow of ti in this dungeon was actually very fast compared to the real world.
"That's reasonably good news..." He smiled, then glanced towards the Demon Hunter Girl, "Hiri, why not take a rest now? You can relax a bit, no need to stay so tense. Once you wake up, I'll talk to you about sothing."
What he intended to discuss was using the girl's abilities to build a stable teleportation device.
Hiri had also ntioned this technology, although her understanding and mastery of it were rather basic. In the past, she rarely had the chance to use it. One reason was because she spent her ti escaping, with no ti for such things, and the second was because the Magic Power in her bloodline was theorized to be the best teleportation technology.
The speed at which she opened Teleportation Gates was unparalleled by any warlock or even elf sage, needing no assistance from teleportation devices.
However, Gu Mo didn't think that way, teleportation devices had their own benefits.
The Demon Hunter Girl didn't know his thoughts. Though slightly puzzled about what he wanted to say to her, she was indeed physically and ntally exhausted. Her experiences in the dungeon world were thrilling and unimaginable, far more exhilarating than fleeing from the Wild Hunt's pursuit.
Everything was fine until she returned, but once she ca back—
The mont she returned to this relatively peaceful and serene world, her tense nerves instinctively relaxed, imdiately followed by an unavoidable wave of fatigue and drowsiness flooding over her.
The Demon Hunter Girl yawned and then nodded, "I'll go rest for a bit then..."
"Go ahead, clear your mind and just relax into sleep..." Gu Mo smiled fully, his tone relaxed and natural, carrying so kind of gentle Mind Power, transforming into a subtle suggestion to soothe her mood. Just a simple sentence was enough to bring an absolutely relaxing dream.
The two Miss Witches gave this a slight glance but didn't say anything.
Though it carried a slight psychological influence of Spiritual Power, it was not malicious, nor was it distortion or orders. Considering it as psychotherapy or ntal counseling, it was quite beneficial and good for the Demon Hunter Girl at the mont.
Hiri yawned and turned away.
"Alright, let's go settle those poor people now..." Gu Mo turned around and clapped his hands, then flipped his palm to reveal a square-like box in his hand.
Upon closer inspection, it was actually a Box Garden miniature by countless tis, and those living in the Peach Blossom Spring were likewise shrunk, each like a pinprick-sized black dot, barely distinguishable to those without keen eyes.
With this treasure made using Immortal Dao techniques, he had successfully contained hundreds of Divine Era Inhabitants during the previous dungeon period, though they were all ordinary people.
If not for his intervention, these people would have died anyway. So even though he saved them, they hadn't been added to the original historical progress but were instead taken away from the dungeon, no longer existing in the original world, and thus didn't change anything.
Of course, he also didn't get rewards for altering and disrupting the plot.
Despite returning directly through Hiri's Teleportation Gate, the system's fee chanism was still unavoidable. Perhaps it was because this group wasn't well-known, not special plot characters, or were too weak that they didn't require the use of keys as currency.
He rely paid a few million "Ga Coins," completing the transaction at ten thousand per head.
To him now, it felt insignificant.
"Shall we settle them at the Lakeside Village?" Kikyo softly asked.
It seed like a good choice; while those in the Box Garden lived well, space had to be cleared eventually, and Gu Mo couldn't keep them inside, taking them along for upcoming dungeons.
"Yes... Naoki, please join us too, after all, that was once your village too."
The young man nodded and looked over to the quiet Miss Naoki, casually lifting the Great Barrier of Penglai Island, allowing the Clanging Cauldron to fall silent, temporarily granting this Earth-bound Spirit-like Miss Witch the freedom to move around the island.
Naoki was slightly taken aback, but then her face lit up with a smile as she nodded:
"Sure."
