Each water stronghold would stockpile a good amount of supplies. Because water bandits lived on the sea all year round, they couldn't often co ashore to buy essential goods, so they usually stored huge quantities of materials in the stronghold.
Basically, they only made a trip to buy things once every six months, and one trip had to last for half a year.
Qin Yuesheng arrived at the warehouse of Black Shark Stronghold and quickly found a black robe for n. He put it on without hesitation.
Changing into new clothes was just different—Qin Yuesheng imdiately felt much more comfortable. He casually tossed his old robe onto the ground, then began to stroll around the warehouse, planning to see if there was anything worth his attention.
The bandits' stash usually included fruits, grains, dried at, clothes, weapons, and so on—aside from fruits, everything else was easy to keep.
At sea, fruit was a rare find. Unless you happened across an island with fruit trees, you could pretty much forget about eating fresh fruit.
He lifted the lid of a bamboo basket, and instantly a basket full of ruby-red apples appeared before Qin Yuesheng's eyes. He grabbed one, wiped it with the back of his hand, and just bit straight into it.
By the ti one reached the Inner Power Realm, whether sothing was dirty or spoiled wouldn't have any negative effect on a martial artist's body.
He'd only taken a few bites of the apple when Qin Yuesheng suddenly said, "Stop hiding, co out."
The warehouse fell completely silent.
"If you make drag you out, it'll definitely end worse for you than if you walk out on your own," Qin Yuesheng turned to his left and spoke to a little hill made of stacked wooden crates.
After just a few blinks, a filthy, disheveled person in tattered clothes erged from behind the pile. The person's hair was so long and their body so dirty and muddy that Qin Yuesheng couldn't tell at all if it was a man or a woman.
This person had a stead bun between their teeth and two corn cobs in their hands, both showing clear bite marks.
Qin Yuesheng wondered aloud, "Are you a thief?"
At his words, the person instantly dropped to their knees, desperately pleading, "Don't send back, please don't send back!"
"Don't be afraid, I'm not a bandit, so I won't turn you in," Qin Yuesheng took another bite of apple. "Eat whatever you like here, no one cares anymore anyway."
The person slowly raised their head, gazing at Qin Yuesheng with suspicion.
Though filthy and slly, the person's eyes were honestly quite attractive. Qin Yuesheng asked, "What's your na?"
"Sanhuang."
"Sanhuang? Don't you have a last na?"
"No. My mother said I'm a bastard, not worthy of a surna."
"A mother calling her own kid a bastard? That's rare. Really opens my eyes," Qin Yuesheng couldn't help but laugh. "Were you caught and brought here as a captive by these bandits?"
"Yeah."
After chatting for a while, Sanhuang's suspicion toward Qin Yuesheng decreased quite a bit. Qin Yuesheng also learned a lot from his mouth.
This guy was a boy—a deckhand on a rchant ship. He usually handled odd jobs. Who would've thought one day they'd get robbed by Black Shark Stronghold passing by, and the crew would either be killed or dragged here as slaves.
To the Black Shark bandits, slaves were less than human. Soone like Sanhuang basically never had enough to eat or a good place to sleep. Life was terrible. Driven by starvation, every ti he found the nerve, he'd sneak into this warehouse to steal sothing to eat.
Compared to the bandits, his fra was much thinner, so he could squeeze through gaps others would never notice, and sneak into the warehouse.
"Big brother, what are you exactly? How co you have the nerve to co here?" Sanhuang asked, gnawing on a corn cob.
"Just an ordinary man."
"You must know martial arts, right?"
"What makes you think that?"
Sanhuang looked at Qin Yuesheng with complete seriousness. "Except for the bandits, no one else can co in here. I've seen people like before—folks who sneaked in to eat were all beaten to death and their dead bodies stuck on an iron pole to dry in the sun. The seabirds pecked at them until nothing was left but tattered mummies. You couldn't be here if you didn't have martial arts, big brother."
Qin Yuesheng chuckled. "You're right."
"Big brother, could you teach martial arts?" Sanhuang asked suddenly,
"You want to learn?"
Sanhuang's face was set with determination. "Yeah. When I was young, I watched my mother practice swordplay. Back then, more than anything, I wanted her to teach martial arts, but she always refused. If I even brought it up, she'd whip with a rattan cane."
Qin Yuesheng studied this kid for a mont, then reached out. "Let see your hand."
"Okay," Sanhuang didn't hesitate at all, and just put his filthy palm in Qin Yuesheng's hand.
Qin Yuesheng sent a surge of Inner Strength into Sanhuang's body, planning to check his bones—see if he was good material for training.
The instant Inner Strength entered Sanhuang, a golden fireball suddenly erged from his chest. Coiled around the fireball was a one-clawed golden dragon, which lifted its head and roared furiously at Qin Yuesheng.
In a flash, terrifying pressure burst forth—Qin Yuesheng's eyes snapped wide as a giant golden dragon apparition snapped its jaws right in front of him.
The massive pressure crashed down on his shoulders, forcing him to bow and submit to Sanhuang.
