Ah... I know you're strong, but isn't this a bit too strong?!!
After hearing Leon's account of the events, the red-haired director who had co with a determination to die felt her mind go blank as if it had crashed, losing the ability to speak montarily.
Looking at the God corpses piled like a mountain on the Origin Mud Plate and the "survivors" bound to Leon, the director's usually exquisite and animated features took on a rare expression of dullness.
After a prolonged silence, she couldn't help but reach over and pinch Leon's thigh hard.
"Why are you pinching ?"
Suddenly pinched for no reason, Leon, who was explaining the situation to her, frowned slightly, grabbed her hand, which was about to pinch him again, and spoke with a hint of displeasure:
"If you want to know if you're dreaming, you should pinch yourself. Pinching doesn't hurt you."
"No... I can still differentiate between dreams and reality."
Her slightly bewildered eyes stared at Leon's face repeatedly, until Leon glared back, snapping her out of it. She exclaid, full of shock:
"I just have a little doubt about your race... To walk to level 250 on the Divine Ascension... Leon, are you really human? Not so mysterious species born with powers?"
"..."
Well... in so sense, that's not entirely wrong. Is this the legendary woman's intuition?
After hearing the director's question, the corner of Leon's mouth twitched slightly, reminded of his younger brother William, and muttered inwardly:
"What nonsense are you talking about? If there really was such a strange species, wouldn't this world have been conquered by them already?
Furthermore, speaking of those born with powers, each leader of the Great Court's ten factions is at the sa level as a Pillar God upon reaching adulthood, far more powerful than any mysterious race."
"True..."
Agreeing with Leon's reasoning, the director, looking at the surviving True Gods who dared not be angry or speak, remarked wistfully:
"But compared to the Great Court's factions, you're still more terrifying... Even though there are no Pillar Gods here, over a hundred True Gods besieged you and not one escaped; I almost can't believe it..."
"It's not as impressive as you think."
Following the director's gaze, Leon glanced behind him, causing the True Gods to retreat in fear, and explained:
"The reason these True Gods lost to is mainly because they first stepped into my power range, which made them fear .
And fearing soone who wields the power of fear is like a dead person trying to challenge the Overlords of the Dead Realm in its deepest place—essentially, no matter how they fight, it's impossible to win."
"That's already pretty crazy."
Shaking her head, the director said:
"Over a hundred people versus you alone, and they still held such intense fear toward you... Hmm... Was it the True Gods released from the Witch Kingdom before?"
"Yes."
Spotting the key problem amidst the casual conversation, Leon couldn't help but smile and nodded in acknowledgnt:
"In terms of Leon Value strength, my level is actually on par with most of these True Gods, not significantly different, and logically, it shouldn't have been so easy to handle.
But many True Gods here had already been killed once by in the Witch Kingdom, carrying my powers of [Death] and [Fear], so they were consistently providing power from the start.
When they began to flee later, all their [Heart Lakes] were thoroughly disturbed, and so even directly collapsed, becoming my captives—essentially, I was drawing their power to fight themselves the whole ti, which naturally didn't require much effort."
"No wonder..."
Nodding in realization, the director relaxed slightly, looking at Leon who hadn't had a scratch, and blinked as she added:
"The Source God Platform mainly acknowledges power, and your fear power is already extrely high, infinitely close to a Pillar God's level, plus these little tricks... Hmm... you deceived them, didn't you?
Let guess, did you deliberately act fierce, heavily dealing with a few True Gods, even if severely wounded, appearing calm to completely shatter their morale, leading to an easy victory, correct?"
"Uh... not entirely..."
"Isn't it?"
"?"
Startled at the director's accurate guess, Leon's eyebrow was raised slightly but then nodded knowingly.
"Yes, that's pretty much it... but is it necessary at this point?"
Realizing the director was matching his narrative, Leon nodded in agreent with her arrangent and asked slightly puzzled:
"Lord Taurus and Lord Cancer are quite busy, and I'm basically the one in charge here now; there can't possibly be any investigation on , so who am I trying to hide from?"
"That depends on who you're guarded against~"
Observing Leon stubbornly avoiding the truth despite her clarity, the director didn't get angry; instead, her eyes showed appreciation, and she cheerfully said:
"By the way, Leon, before you returned from the Hell sub-bureau, the third director complained to Lord Taurus, demanding you move the Fiery Hell away from the [Sage's Cetery]; otherwise, he'd defect from the bureau and join the Slaughter King Association... What do you think of this?"
"..."
What do I think? Seems you've figured it out...
Faced with her directly pinpointing his guarded "target," Leon sighed helplessly:
"Have I been that obvious?"
"It's alright; those unfamiliar with you still might be barely fooled."
Seeing Leon finally admit to being wary of the third elder, the director chuckled lightly, opting for frankness, her eyes filled with mirth as she said:
"You aren't soone who likes to cause trouble—at least most of the ti, you're quite composed—so even if you had a strong aversion to Lord Third, you wouldn't do sothing as extre as placing Fiery Hell right at his doorstep.
Therefore, the reason you did it could only be because you sensed sothing from Lord Third, so you wanted to test his stance and limits with a trick that wouldn't be a full-blown conflict yet would significantly trouble him.
Even though, after deciding to act, you typically choose heavy-handed or lethal asures, you are quite cautious when initially choosing targets, always attempting to explore the opponent first; that's quite a small habit of yours when dealing things."
"Tch..."
"Alright, let's not delve into that now."
Watching Leon showing a slightly displeased expression after his plan was guessed, the director laughed and changed the subject, asking with curiosity:
"Leon, are you not planning to beco a True God?"
