Fish Man Festival, the fish went to celebrate, and the expression vanished for a day (definitely not due to a lack of inspiration plus taking a fake day off)
...a possibly nonexistent world line...
"Don't be afraid! I've just called, she's safe, she'll be here soon to find us!"
Seeing his little sister wrapped in a blanket, trembling with fear, the boy who had just returned from making the call clenched his small fists and then reassured her resolutely:
"Dad and I are both at the inn, we'll all protect you!"
"But... there are so many of them..."
After hearing what the little boy said, the girl in the white dress crawled out from under the blanket, biting her lip tentatively:
"Those townsfolk with horns on their heads look so scary, and they're all tall and strong, their wrists are several tis thicker than our legs, and they believe in so sort of great demon... boohoo..."
As she spoke, tears suddenly welled up in the corners of the little girl's eyes, and she cried out with a sob:
"It's all my fault! If I hadn't wanted to see the canola fields, Dad wouldn't have rented a coach to bring us to this town. If we hadn't co to this town, we wouldn't be targeted by those bad guys... boohoo... If... if they really co to catch us and offer us to the demon..."
"Don't worry, you don't need to be afraid!"
Though he was scared to the point of paleness himself, the little boy continued to comfort his crying sister softly, pressing his lips together:
"Your brother is here with you, Dad and the others will be back soon, you... you don't need to be afraid... everything will be alright..."
"Bang!"
Before the boy finished speaking, a stone the size of a fist was thrown at the window, startling the little girl into a scream, and upon hearing the scream from inside the house, the townsfolk in the middle of the street, gathered around a large bonfire, began to beco even more brazen in their chanting.
In the crazed laughter of the townsfolk, the bonfire's slightly crimson flas splashed everywhere, casting elongated, dancing shadows holding weapons and screaming wildly onto the room's windows,
and just as the two children inside clung to each other in panic, their faces pale as they tried to stay away from the window where the ghostly shadows danced, two urgent and chaotic footsteps suddenly sounded in the empty hotel corridor, coming closer... closer... until they stopped right by the door!

"Sorry."
Looking at the children on the large bed, clutching each other and screaming, the man holding the new cordless phone, with a hint of fatigue on his face, couldn't help but apologize with full remorse:
"Dad suddenly got a work call earlier, didn't have ti to take care of you here, your uncle is also busy..."
"No! This is not the ti to talk about these things!"
Seeing Dad and uncle appear at the door, the little boy, still startled, took a deep breath, then flipped off the bed, pulling out the stick he had found from under the bed, his face deathly pale as he spoke:
"I found weapons in the kitchen! One for each of us, Aunt will be here soon... Dad! Those people on the street are followers of the demon, this town is too dangerous, we have to leave imdiately!"

"Dad?"
"Ah? Oh, oh!"
Leon, after receiving a small rolling pin covered in flour, tried to gesture in the air, opened his mouth, glanced at William beside him, whose face clearly said 'I told you not to hide this', and then responded with twitching cheeks:
"You're right, this town with demons is far too dangerous; our family must escape! We have to leave imdiately!"
