This Mrs. Evangelin... could she be pretending to be clueless on purpose with ?
After mulling over the experiences from boarding the ship until now, Leon watched the rmaid beauty in front of him, whose cheek was pinched by the enraged Miss Salt Fish, causing her pain and making her plead for rcy. A hint of suspicion couldn't help but erge in his eyes.
Judging purely from her behavior, this rmaid claiming to be Miss Salt Fish's mother seems to be the type that lives by instinct, speaking and acting recklessly, without much thought.
From a "diplomatic" perspective, her outrageous actions are almost embarrassing for the entire Sea Race, further angering Miss Salt Fish to tears twice.
Yet when viewed in terms of "results," her series of actions, although it caused the anguished Miss Salt Fish's defenses to break down, ended up securing theoretically the best outco for the Sea Race.
Reflecting on his own mindset shift and the various promises he made, Leon couldn't help but reach for his cufflinks, his fingertips habitually tapping the ram's horn of the Black Mountain Goat.
Regarding the issue of the sea floor freezing, both he and Taurus suspected it might be the work of the Sea Race, so before boarding the ship, his attitude towards the Sea Race was "guarded" and "scrutinizing."
Yet, after dealing with the shenanigans of this rmaid mother and daughter duo, despite never actually seeing the state of the frozen sea floor, he unconsciously believed their claim that the Sea Race rely sought to protect themselves and weren't involved.
Subsequently, even amidst her "rambling disputes," he proactively stated that the Clearing Bureau wouldn't interfere with the Sea Race, nor would they engage in personal revenge, and attack the Flowing Vortex Ancestor, essentially ceding all possible powers. This is so... um... strange?
Using the unique soul vision of the Black Mountain Goat, after seeing the essence of the rmaid beauty's soul, Leon's brows slightly raised.
Honest, transparent, flamboyant, reckless, passionate... the rmaid beauty's soul showed not even a hint of deceit or concealnt, completely devoid of calculation and weighing of options, pure to an astonishing degree.
So... could it be she's not a master manipulator, but naturally a born abstract saint body???
...
Tidal Realm, Silver Coral Palace.
While Leon was on his way to the eye of the Central Sea on a shell boat amidst the abstract bickering of the rmaid mother and daughter, the earlier-departing Scorpio Board mber and Cancer Board mber had already arrived at the Tidal Realm and listened to the general situation in the reception hall of the Silver Coral Palace.
"So the first person to discover the sea floor starting to freeze wasn't actually the Flowing Vortex line rfolk, but the Tide line sea monsters?"
"You could say that."
After hearing Scorpio Board mber's slightly curious inquiry, a female rmaid bearing a six-point resemblance to the rmaid beauty, yet significantly older in appearance, nodded to indicate recognition, then supplented:
"Though strictly speaking, it was the guard team responsible for watching the sea eye that discovered it, not any single line.
The relationship among our Sea Race's three tribes is relatively close, and the guard team at the sea eye is also a mix of the three tribes. So while the first to report the sea floor freezing was a sea monster, many from the other two lines discovered the issue alongside him."
"I see."
After nodding slightly in understanding, Scorpio Board mber instinctively turned his head to exchange a glance with Cancer Board mber, then continued:
"May I ask, what is the na of the sea monster who first reported the situation? Can you briefly introduce him and possibly bring him over to answer a few questions for us?"
"?"
Upon hearing Scorpio Board mber's request, the crowned female rmaid couldn't help but frown, then replied:
"That sea monster is nad Andy; he's the grandson of the last Tide Ancestor and is also the captain of the guard responsible for the sea eye and access to Shell Haven... It's no problem to have him co over, but I've already shown you all the information he knows; is it necessary to et him in person?"
"Please don't misunderstand, we're not suspecting him, but simply wanting to understand the situation in more detail."
Putting down the "docunt" bound with a certain pliable algae, Cancer Board mber habitually patted his round belly, then smiled and explained:
"The docunt you provided is already very detailed, but there's usually so difference between what's written and what's spoken, even if it's a summary from the discoverer himself; so details might be slightly missed.
And as you might be aware, when the Cleaner processes abnormal events, any insufficient preliminary investigation can lead to danger due to differences in details; hence, we're quite concerned about the accuracy of the information.
Moreover, now the ice layer on the sea floor has beco very thick, making it extrely difficult to break through. Andy, who witnessed the situation firsthand, becos even more crucial... So if possible, could you allow Andy to co over for a conversation with us?"
Well...
After Cancer Board mber's words fell, seeing his insistence on having Andy co over, a hint of hesitation flashed in the crowned female rmaid's eyes.
There's an issue!
Quickly catching the hesitation in the crowned female rmaid's eyes, Cancer Board mber exchanged a quick glance with Scorpio Board mber, his thumbnail moved to an unseen position by the crowned rmaid, and gently pressed an "X" indentation on the docunt recording the freezing event.
