Feilai Peak, near the waterfall pool at the foot of the mountain.

This was originally a place reserved by Li Boyang for ditation and quiet cultivation.

However, as ti passed and with the reconstruction of Feilai Peak, he hadn’t been here for a long ti.

Most of the ti, it was either Li Jingshu or Xiluo ditating under the waterfall.

In a sense, this could also be considered one of the few forbidden places after the reconstruction of Feilai Peak.

Except for those human-faced fish whom Li Boyang specially permitted to co and go freely.

Even the ghost gods who ca to hear Li Boyang preach would never set foot here.

"Wu Xian and the others probably never dread you’d leave Kunwu in such an obvious place, did they?"

Quietly perched on Li Boyang’s head, Xiluo wagged her tail as she teased.

"Isn’t this what you often call ’darkness under the lamp’?"

Rolling his eyes deftly, Li Boyang retorted in annoyance.

"It’s not like I insisted Kunwu stay here; it’s because it likes the peaceful environnt."

"Besides, in terms of safety, this place is second only to the Mountain God Temple."

After habitually bickering, Li Boyang gazed at the seemingly calm pool.

"Kunwu, isn’t there anything you want to tell us?"

As soon as Li Boyang finished speaking, the calm surface of the lake suddenly rippled.

In the next mont, a faint golden light parted the pool and waterfall, revealing Kunwu hidden within.

At this mont, Kunwu maintained its totemic god form of the Heaven-Reaching Pillar.

"What do you want to know?"

Just like the first ti they t, Kunwu’s voice was exceptionally calm.

"For example, when did you know that you were the Sea Calming Tripod?"

This ti, the question was from Xiluo beside him.

As she asked this, Xiluo’s expression was unusually complex, even revealing a faint, barely noticeable hint of anticipation.

To Xiluo, Kunwu was the Sea Calming Tripod left by her sister, and its significance as a re totem god was entirely different.

The forr ant that Xiluo was not alone, that her millennia of perseverance were seen by soone.

"I’ve known from the very beginning."

A gigantic face slowly erged from the surface of the pillar as Kunwu responded in a slightly wooden voice.

If Xiluo was the overt guardian of Feilai Peak,

then Kunwu was clearly the one secretly arranged by the Huai River Witch as a hidden guardian.

"I see, I always thought your and Rain Master’s previous defection was quite unusual."

"It could still be said that Rain Master was grateful for the Huai River Witch’s guidance and decided to help Xiluo guard Feilai Peak."

"But what about you?"

"As a totem god, rely being confined to Feilai Peak due to differing ideals with the Huai River Witch seems rather arbitrary."

"More importantly, even under such circumstances, you were still willing to defect—this goes beyond being described as broad-minded."

At this point, Li Boyang paused slightly in his speech.

"Since you knew from the beginning that you were the Sea Calming Tripod, why didn’t you tell us your identity?"

In fact, this was what puzzled Li Boyang the most after learning the truth.

"Because you never asked ."

Within Kunwu’s calm voice lay its usual indifference.

Not surprisingly, Kunwu’s response left Li Boyang and Xiluo dumbfounded, unable to recover for a long ti.

"So your aning is... all of this was still our fault?"

Li Boyang didn’t know if it was his illusion.

He felt that he heard a hint of gritted teeth in Xiluo’s words now.

"Rain Master asked, so I said..."

Also sensing a hint of danger in Xiluo’s words, Kunwu finally broke its usual stoicism this ti.

However, to Xiluo’s ears, these words only served to add fuel to the fire.

"Hey, Xiluo, don’t forget what we’re here for?"

Grabbing Xiluo on his head, Li Boyang quickly signaled Kunwu with his eyes to not continue speaking.

Fortunately, Kunwu finally showed so tact this ti and didn’t say anything further to aggravate Xiluo.

"Alright! Let’s get back on track!"

"You saw this battle, didn’t you? You should also know the purpose of their visit!"

Though phrased as a question, Li Boyang’s tone was affirmative when he spoke.

Actually, from the fact that Kunwu didn’t appear in the battle last night,

Li Boyang had roughly guessed that the other party must have known the purpose of Wu Xian’s group.

"Yes, I know, they intend to take back to Great Xia."

Sure enough, as Li Boyang expected, Kunwu openly admitted.

"Actually, after ’Wu Yi Shoots the Sky,’ I had anticipated their arrival."

"I was the only one among the Nine Tripods that didn’t respond to Wu Yi, and the gods and Great Witch of Great Xia would never ignore such a matter."

"I just didn’t expect them to co so late."

Nodding understandingly, Li Boyang continued to ask.

"Do you know why they ca looking for you this ti?"

This ti, it was Kunwu’s turn to blink in confusion; it evidently did not know the real purpose of Wu Xian and the others’ visit.

"There’s a problem in the East Sea; they need you to contain the flood there."

As soon as these words were spoken, Kunwu imdiately understood the purpose of Li Boyang and Xiluo’s visit.

Great Xia has never been a force to easily let things go; Kunwu had ntally prepared from the mont it was born.

"I am willing..."

Before Kunwu could finish its words, the fired-up Xiluo imdiately shouted.

"Who cares if you’re willing?"

"Do you really think we’re that kind of people?"

"Or do you think you can co back once you go with them?"

"They need the Sea Calming Tripod, not you, Kunwu!"

"Besides, isn’t going to war with Great Xia sothing we’ve faced many tis along the way?"

"Don’t think of yourself as too important; even without you, we were bound to go to war with Great Xia sooner or later!"

Not allowing Kunwu to argue, Xiluo snarled with bared teeth.

"We’re here to inform you; from today on, you are confined again!"

"Without my permission, don’t think about leaving Feilai Peak... No, don’t even think about leaving this pool!"

"God-Binding Rope, can you hear my voice?"

"From now on, watch over Kunwu closely and make sure it doesn’t leave here even a step!"

As Xiluo howled to the sky, her voice could be heard across most of Feilai Peak.

So it was hardly surprising when the mountain of Feilai Peak once again shone, and the form of the God-Binding Rope erged from the cracks in the mountain.

Aang!

Like a silent roar of a flood dragon.

The God-Binding Rope demonstrated its will through action.

"Child, you shouldn’t object to this decision, right?"

Lowering her head with a hint of intimidation, Xiluo seed less like she was consulting with Li Boyang, and more like intimidating him.

Because currently at Feilai Peak, only Li Boyang had the courage and ability to oppose Xiluo.

"Ahem, since you’ve put it that way, how could I possibly object?"

Hearing this, Li Boyang awkwardly forced a smile.

Seeing the furious Xiluo, he certainly couldn’t voice any objections at that mont.

Rather, Li Boyang had anticipated this, not surprised at Xiluo’s exploitation of the situation.
