A presence comparable to a living fossil, yet even the Fallen Knight doesn’t know?
"But I can deduce so clues from various matters. This is also why I personally ca here."
While speaking, the Fallen Knight released his control over the "Sanglia," the Tier Seven Punishnt Knight.
The darkness in "Sanglia’s" eyes faded, and clarity was restored.
The first thing he did after regaining clarity was to draw the Sword of the Righteous Knight from his waist and slash mightily at the Fallen Knight ahead of him!
The Fallen Knight casually waved his hand backward, a bit weary.
"As early as three hundred years ago, the chanical Sect began extensive mining of gold, setting up mining zones across the entire City of Extre Evil."
"For these mining zones to be successfully established, the chanical Sect unusually made major concessions in profits, which was contrary to their usual unwillingness to suffer losses."
"Including myself, major factions have doubted the chanical Sect’s abnormal behavior and have secretly investigated these mining zones, but have always co up empty-handed."
At this point, the Fallen Knight glanced sideways at Han Zhan.
Because of his arrival, the situation changed, allowing so earlier suspicions to be confird.
"You said you arrived at Sun Never Sets Port because the ferry made a wrong delivery; I am willing to believe this reason."
"Because your arrival propelled the developnt of the entire incident, bringing to light the hundred-year plans of the chanical Sect, as if it were the arrangent of fate."
The Fallen Knight spoke of fate.
Han Zhan’s pupils involuntarily constricted slightly, a scene the Fallen Knight caught fully.
He definitely said that on purpose! Han Zhan beca instantly alert.
He quickly spoke calmly: "What you said, my lord, makes think of a possibility."
"Let’s hear it."
"If the chanical Sect has truly sched for a hundred years, does it an that in other mining zones, there is also a possibility of the existence of these afterlife spirits?"
"If spirits return to the earth after death and appear in the City of Extre Evil, why do they appear in the surrounding areas of major factions, like ’garbage sorting’, each major faction’s afterlife spirits near their territories?"
Han Zhan then seed to "realize his slip" and covered his mouth.
Zhan Ning and Yu Lian slightly frowned when they heard the description "garbage sorting."
The Fallen Knight, after a mont of contemplation, continued: "We don’t have the answers to these questions for now."
I hardly believe you. You definitely know more secrets, just not sharing them with us. Han Zhan thought to himself, grumbling.
The Fallen Knight is definitely an old scher.
Since he knows the chanical Sect’s obsession with mines, how could he not explore it?
A hundred years’ ti, no matter how hidden, it would be impossible not to discover any clues.
The Fallen Knight does not want to speak, and Han Zhan currently lacks the ability to make him speak, so he had to let it go for now.
At least this journey to the chanical Sect’s mining zone wasn’t entirely fruitless.
Han Zhan learned more about the City of Extre Evil and the Slaughter Battlefield, which will greatly aid his future actions and judgnts.
"Let’s go; there’s no longer any value in continuing to explore here."
As the Fallen Knight spoke, he pulled on the reins and turned his horse around.
At his words, Han Zhan, Zhan Ning, and Yu Lian also turned around.
Underfoot, the pitch-black flas rose again, and a familiar, narrow passage appeared before everyone.
They entered the passage one by one, disappearing into the depths of the mine.
The entire mine returned to darkness.
It is unknown how much ti passed, but the clear sound of footsteps echoed once more in the silent cave.
"So answers do not need to exist."
A dark and hollow voice echoed as if rising from an endless abyss, low and hoarse.
The entire darkness was swallowed by even deeper darkness.
Unwilling roars, sounds of slaughter, and struggles all ca to a halt in the darkness.
...
Returning to Sun Never Sets Port.
Though it was only a brief departure, it felt to Han Zhan like an era had passed.
Those "histories" within the mine, a series of fras appearing before him, dead knights, and the most mysterious of all, the Slaughter Battlefield.
Great secrets lie hidden within the City of Extre Evil.
Every faction seems to have given up searching, living peacefully, yet they sche against each other behind the scenes.
"Hey, Bob, you’re back?"
Seeing Han Zhan reappear at the Nightingale Inn, Andrew was the first to greet him enthusiastically.
Beside him, a young man with a fair face leaned shyly against him, quite clingy.
Seeing this scene, Han Zhan straightforwardly ignored Andrew and headed into the sixth floor of the Nightingale Inn, returning to his room.
He is very tired, his mind overloaded with information and needs a good sleep to sort out his thoughts.
As Han Zhan walked away, the young man beside Andrew gazed after him, sowhat entranced, "He’s so handso."
"Yes, after all, he’s the man I was willing to spend twenty gold coins on at first sight." Andrew said, giving the young man’s butt a playful slap.
The innkeeper, sitting at her desk, even though accustod to such scenes, couldn’t help but shake her head at Andrew and the young man’s interaction.
It was truly a bit of an eyesore.
On the other side.
Once Han Zhan left, the Fallen Knight, Zhan Ning, and Yu Lian sat at the round table in the Central Church of Sun Never Sets Port.
At this round table, besides them, three other Tier Seven Punishnt Knights had been waiting.
"Zhan Ning, share the results of the investigation with everyone."
The Fallen Knight finally got off his steed, walking on the red and yellow-carpeted aisle of the Central Church, to sit at the head of the round table.
Zhan Ning nodded, took his seat, and began recounting what had just been experienced.
"The chanical Sect has been researching the Particle of Virtual-Real to reshape spirits that should have dissipated in the world, giving them a second life."
"With the Slaughter Battlefield approaching, it’s hard not to link the two; we need more information."
"On the side of the chanical Sect, it’s an all-chanical city, without a single human, making infiltration nearly impossible."
"The Holy Bishop, though average in strength, possesses bizarre abilities and doesn’t care about the Slaughter Battlefield, and there’s no chance with the alien race."
"Our only viable source for gathering information is our old rival, the Anti-Xia Alliance."
Sending a knight to infiltrate the Anti-Xia Alliance to gather information about the chanical Sect and the Slaughter Battlefield sounds like a crazy plan.
Zhan Ning paused.
The Fallen Knight, sitting at the head, gave a slight nod, allowing Zhan Ning to continue:
"Actually, we already have a candidate."
"He is a Great Xia Spirit Contract Master and a knight, suitable to be our spy within the Anti-Xia Alliance."
"The purpose of calling everyone for this eting is to refine the plan and allocate tasks and responsibilities."
At the round table, a middle-aged man with a full beard spoke: "What’s his na?"
Zhan Ning displayed a harmless smile.
"Bob."
