Chi You’s head really took advantage of the situation and played a trick on him.
But due to the oath, Han Zhan still had to follow the agreent and protect the Jiuli.
"How can one obtain the blood of the Demon God?"
After reclaiming the Demon God’s Heart, Han Zhan asked Li Wu.

Initially, Han Zhan thought that Chi You’s non-interference was to guard against the Yellow Emperor, but after learning everything from the Blood Pool, the reason for Chi You’s "retreat" seed more intriguing.
Unlike Han Zhan’s heavy mood, the accompanying Li Wu was much more lively.
On the way, he acted like a talkative companion, recounting to Han Zhan the history of the Jiuli Tribe, narrating his greatest wish since childhood — to et the Great Chief Chi You.

Chi You’s residence is an imposing structure, seemingly out of sync with the ancient styles from legends.
It resembled a giant beast with its mouth wide open.
From its dark mouth, plus of inky smoke appeared to spiral out, adding an eerie air.
The entire palace was constructed of robust stone and wood, and as Han Zhan and his companions approached, the door quietly opened as if flowing in silence.
"Why aren’t there any other guards here?" Han Zhan glanced around, puzzled.
Li Wu shot him a strange look.
"Why would you think that the strongest force of the Jiuli Tribe, the renowned Tier Nine powerhouse, the Great Chief Chi You, would need sothing like guards?"
Indeed.
Li Wu wasn’t entirely wrong.
Han Zhan ceased to speak, entering the door with Li Wu and Li Lingzhen.
Inside the palace, they appeared to walk into a solemn ancient temple.
On both sides, massive and simple stone reliefs exuded an air of antiquity.
Pillars were adorned with many mysterious symbols.
Among these patterns, Han Zhan could see many towering figures battling and fighting with various bizarre creatures, a vivid display of the Jiuli’s history.
The palace’s interior was vast, and the long corridor was dimly lit.
Walking on the ground felt dreamlike.
Amidst the silence, they could faintly hear so low sounds echoing through the hallway, causing an instinctive chill.
Even the naturally carefree Li Wu started noticing the oddity.
He suddenly halted, glancing around and then at the seemingly endless dark corridor ahead.
"This doesn’t feel right, how co it feels so eerie in the Great Chief’s residence?"
"Eerie?"
"I think it’s alright."
At this mont, a fourth voice, distinct from the three of them, suddenly resonated from beneath their feet!
