Inside the clubhouse restroom, Mia Grant bent over to press the soap dispenser.

Lee accompanied her, carefully observing Mia Grant’s reaction as Simon Adler had instructed.

Just now, Mia Grant hadn’t let her go in, so she had no idea what they had discussed inside.

Simon Adler sent a ssage asking for an update, but she didn’t know anything.

Simon Adler told her to watch Mia Grant’s reaction closely.

Looking down, she replied to Simon Adler’s ssage.

["Boss, Miss Grant doesn’t seem any different than before."]

Her boss: ["Got it. Take her ho."]

Putting her phone away, Lee said, "Miss Grant, let’s head back."

"Mm."

Mia Grant dried her hands and followed her out.

An elevator was slowly ascending, and the two of them stood waiting.

Mia Grant touched her wrist and realized her bracelet was gone.

"Lee."

The latter looked over at her.

"My bracelet is missing. I’m going to go look for it."

"Oh? Then I’ll help you look."

"You check the hallway. I’ll go back and look in the restroom."

Lee glanced at the distance. ’It should be fine.’ "Okay."

Under the sink, Mia Grant found her bracelet in a corner of the rug.

She breathed a sigh of relief and tried to put it on as she walked, but she just couldn’t fasten the lobster clasp with one hand.

"Tsk."

She stopped in frustration, standing to the side and wrestling with the clasp.

In the hallway, Lee was still searching diligently. She walked back and forth, eventually ending up at the elevators again.

An elevator door opened, and soone walked out.

She didn’t look up.

Then, she heard soone call her na. "Lee?"

Lee reacted instantly, straightening up. When she saw the person’s face clearly, her expression shifted from confusion to shock.

"..."

"M-Mr. Grant, good afternoon."

Silas Grant’s lips curved into a slight smile. "What are you doing here? Is Simon Adler here too?"

Lee was Simon Adler’s bodyguard, a genuinely skilled martial artist.

She almost never left his side in public.

That was why Silas Grant had so impression of her.

Her presence here ant that Simon Adler was most likely here as well.

Lee scratched her head. She was just a bodyguard, straightforward and not nearly as slick as Sean Cole.

After a mont’s thought, she shook her head and chose to lie. "The boss is still at the office. I’m here to pick sothing up for him."

"I see." Silas Grant nodded.

Lee didn’t know if he believed her or not and prepared to slip away. "Well, I’ll let you get back to it."

Silas Grant didn’t make things difficult for her and let her go.

In the restroom, the phone in Mia Grant’s pocket began to vibrate frantically.

CLATTER. The bracelet, still unfastened, fell to the floor again. Mia Grant took a sharp, irritated breath and pulled out her phone to check the ssage.

It was from Lee.

["Mr. Grant is in the hallway! On this floor! Hide, quickly!"]

Mia Grant froze, not imdiately realizing who Lee ant by "Mr. Grant."

Not until she heard approaching footsteps.

The doors to the n’s and won’s restrooms were opposite each other, with a shared sink area in between. Anyone coming in would have to pass by her.

She quickly turned and ducked further inside.

After a while, once she was sure the footsteps had faded, she peeked out.

Seeing that no one was there, she sprinted toward the elevators.

Around the corner.

The figure up ahead suddenly stopped, and the conversations of the people behind him ceased as well.

"Mr. Grant?" Eric’s voice was filled with confusion.

"Excuse , I need to use the restroom. You all go on ahead."

With that, he nodded to his business partners and, without waiting for a response, strode past the group and headed back the way he ca.

The elevator still hadn’t arrived. Mia Grant jabbed the button repeatedly, her heart burning with anxiety.

Suddenly, soone grabbed her arm.

She looked up, her face filled with terror.

"You..."

Her trembling voice gave her away. Before she could finish, the person tightened their grip and dragged her directly into an adjacent private room.

Silas Grant stood by the window, carefully surveying the straight, wide hallway he had just walked down.

The thick carpet easily muffled most footsteps.

He stood to one side, watching quietly for a mont, before finally striding toward the restroom.

A female staff mber ca out of the elevator, and Silas Grant called her over. "Excuse , could you please go inside and see if anyone is in there?"

"Of course, sir."

The man stood silently by the sink, his eyes, from behind his glasses, staring intently at the door opposite him.

It was indeed ungentlemanly, but he was more afraid of missing sothing in a mont of carelessness.

Inside, the staff mber pushed open the stall doors one by one.

All of them were empty.

The private rooms all had their own restrooms, which was why this one was rarely used by guests.

The staff mber ca out quickly and gave the man a slight bow. "Sir, I’ve checked everywhere. There’s no one inside."

"No one?" Silas Grant’s brow twitched as he seed lost in thought. A second later, he nodded, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Thank you."

He turned and started to walk away.

Suddenly, the staff mber behind him called out to him again.

"Sir, you dropped sothing."

The man turned back to see the staff mber picking up a bracelet from the spot where he had just been standing. "Is this yours?"

"It looks like a lady’s bracelet."

Hearing it was a woman’s, Silas Grant’s first instinct was to say no.

Then, a glint flashed in his eyes, and he took a light gray handkerchief from his suit pocket.

The staff mber understood and gently placed the bracelet onto the handkerchief.

The man brought it closer to inspect it carefully.

The staff mber waited. Seeing that he wasn’t moving, she was about to ask when she heard the man let out an extrely abrupt, low chuckle.

But judging by his expression... he didn’t look happy.

The staff mber watched him cautiously, not daring to step forward.

A few seconds later, the man closed his hand, and the bracelet, enfolded tightly in the handkerchief, disappeared from view.

When he looked up again, a friendly smile appeared in his eyes. He gave her an exceptionally gentlemanly nod of thanks. "Thank you. This belongs to my girlfriend."

The staff mber was flattered and overwheld. She quickly bowed again, watching him leave.

Inside the private room, Eric, who was talking with the business partners, suddenly received a phone call.

He found a corner to answer it. His expression changed drastically, and he quickly told Levi Vance, who was next to him, to entertain the guests while he hurried out.

In the hallway, Eric quickly found Silas Grant.

The man was leaning against the window, smoking. When he saw Eric approach, he shot him a cold, impassive glance.

"Call her."

Eric did as he was told, but before dialing the number, he couldn’t help but ask, "Are you sure you want to call Miss Grant directly? Shouldn’t we call one of our people first and ask about the situation?"

Silas Grant didn’t speak, but simply stared at him.

"..." Eric’s heart tightened. He stopped wasting ti and imdiately did as he was told, dialing Mia Grant’s number.

anwhile, in another private room not far away.

Mia Grant was pressed against the door, her breathing faint.

When she ca to her senses, she kicked hard at the person in front of her. "Get off!"

"What are you doing here? Are you following ?"

The man planted a kiss on her cheek before lazily straightening up.

He turned and switched on the light. "What do you an, following? This is called protecting."

"See? If it weren’t for , Silas Grant would have already found you."

"If it weren’t for you, I’d already be on my way down in the elevator," Mia Grant corrected.

Yates Donovan laughed. "Then go on, open the door and walk out."

"Here, here, let help you." He grabbed the doorknob and applied pressure.

Mia Grant: "!"
