Everything went still.

Mia Grant blinked, completely unaware of how intriguing her words sounded.

Her reasoning was simple.

If there was only one bed, soone would have to sleep on the sofa or the floor.

She certainly wasn’t going to put herself out.

And Felix Sinclair was sick.

So, sleeping together was the best option.

’The bed’s huge, anyway. We can just take one side each.’

’Besides, with Felix Sinclair’s rigid personality and his current weakened state, there’s no need to even think of him as a man.’

Felix Sinclair stared at her for a long ti, but her expression remained as candid as ever.

After a long mont of eye contact, he blinked his sore, feverish eyes and gently closed them.

"What do you want to eat tonight?"

Hearing this, Mia Grant paused for a second before quickly replying, "I’m good with anything. What about you?"

"Whatever you want."

"Oh... how about noodles, then?" She was actually craving hot pot, but she rembered he was sick and figured they should have sothing light.

"Okay."

He murmured his assent, and soon, his breathing evened out, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm.

He was asleep.

Mia Grant let out a sigh of relief and opened her phone to reply to her roommate’s ssage.

"My brother ca to get , so I probably won’t be back at the dorm tonight. Don’t wait up for ."

She exited the group chat and found Ian Sinclair’s contact, but after hesitating, she decided not to ask him anything.

She had wanted to ask Ian Sinclair about Felix Sinclair’s... condition.

But on second thought, it didn’t seem right to learn about sothing like that from a third party. ’I’ll just find the right ti to ask Felix Sinclair himself.’

While he slept soundly, Mia Grant shifted into a more comfortable position, listening to the rain outside as she flipped through the docunts she had with her.

Felix Sinclair was woken by her voice.

The mont he opened his eyes, the girl’s lovely face filled his vision. She was leaning over him, her gaze lingering on his face. She called his na in a soft whisper, torn between wanting to wake him and not wanting to disturb him.

Seeing his eyelashes flutter, she pointed to the IV drip beside them. "It’s finished. We can go back now."

Mia Grant helped him sit up and glanced around. "Where did you put your jacket?"

"The rain has stopped, but it’s still windy outside. You have a fever and a cold, so you need to stay warm."

Following his gaze, Mia Grant found a black jacket hanging on a nearby rack.

She walked over and took it down.

’Huh?’

’Why does this jacket look so familiar?’

’The one I returned to Ian Sinclair today looked a lot like this.’

Mia Grant, refusing to believe it, carefully shook it open to get a better look.

The style, color, brand, and size—they were all exactly the sa.

She sniffed it lightly. A faint, clean scent lingered on the fabric, different from the one used in the shop.

’So, this isn’t the one I gave back to Ian Sinclair.’

’Do twins buy identical clothes?’

’No, no, no.’

Ian Sinclair once said he hated it when people confused him with Felix Sinclair. Since they had identical faces, he had to alter his clothing style to make it easier for people to tell them apart.

Felix Sinclair felt the sa way; he wasn’t fond of being seen together with Ian Sinclair.

Ian Sinclair was like a scorching, blazing fla and preferred more vibrant colors.

Felix Sinclair was the exact opposite. He was an immovable, rigid mountain.

She used to go to the library with Felix Sinclair on weekends, and she rembered that when he wore casual clothes, they were almost always in shades of black, white, and gray. Moreover, he owned multiple identical pieces of the sa style and color.

Mia Grant acted as if nothing was amiss and handed him the jacket.

Felix Sinclair got off the bed and quietly put on the jacket, his head lowered.

His long, slender fingers grasped the zipper, moving it up slowly and deliberately, pulling it ticulously all the way to the top.

A scene flashed through her mind.

So fast she could barely catch it.

A flicker in Mia Grant’s eyes, she started walking out with him.

The two of them went back to the noodle shop by the campus gate they had visited before.

Felix Sinclair didn’t have much of an appetite and barely touched his chopsticks.

Mia Grant, however, was genuinely hungry. She focused on her food, with no ti to worry about whether he was eating or not.

After she finished eating, she finally rembered to ask, "Where’s your apartnt?"

Felix Sinclair didn’t expect her to ask. He paused before answering, "Across the street."

He had thought their conversation at the campus clinic was just a tacit joke. He hadn’t realized she was serious.

The apartnt.

This was a place the Sinclair Family had bought for Felix Sinclair off campus. To be precise, both brothers had one, on adjacent floors.

Felix Sinclair hadn’t stayed here since the sester began.

Today was his first ti.

Mia Grant toured his apartnt and confird there really was only one bedroom and one bed.

She didn’t dwell on it. She put her bag down and went to get him so water.

"Where can I find hot water in your place?"

"The kitchen." As he said this, he stood up uneasily. "I’ll get it."

"No need. You just sit. Make yourself at ho."

"..."

A few monts later, Mia Grant returned with a glass of water.

On the sofa, Felix Sinclair looked up and stared at her in silence.

"Here, take it. It’s pretty hot."

"Thank you." He quickly lowered his gaze and took the glass.

He thought she had wanted water for herself.

Mia Grant didn’t like sitting on sofas. Seeing that his carpet was also clean, she simply sat cross-legged on the floor by the coffee table.

She dumped the contents of her bag out and found the dicine the doctor had prescribed. "Take one of these tonight if you still have a fever."

"This one, take it if your throat hurts."

"And this one... actually, never mind. Just tell if you’re not feeling well, and I’ll find the right one for you."

She put the dicine back in its bag and asked casually, "How did you catch a fever? Did you go out without a jacket yesterday?"

"I did wear one."

"How could you still get sick if you wore one? The weather yesterday wasn’t even that bad... oh, wait, that’s not right. It did get windy at night."

She looked at him. "Did you go out last night?"

Felix Sinclair looked at her.

Her eyes were so innocent and pure, one could get lost in them in an instant.

He knew she wouldn’t ask such a question for no reason.

She was probably testing him.

But none of that mattered anymore.

He was willing to drown in it, regardless of her motives.

"I was having dinner with a friend off campus."

She leaned in closer, smiling like a cat that had gotten the cream. "Where’d you eat? That food stall across from the school? You’d really eat there?"

Felix Sinclair looked at the figure sitting by his feet. After a brief silence, his dry lips parted. "I heard from soone that you were there."

They hadn’t seen each other since his episode of respiratory alkalosis.

Because of what happened with her and Serena Grant, she was now quite famous at Jynsia U. Soone from a student club had seen her eating off campus and casually posted about it in a group chat for discussion.

He happened to see it. As if possessed, he pulled himself away from a pile of study materials, and by the ti he realized what he was doing, he was already off campus.

And there she was, at the brightly lit food stall across the street.

"So, it really was you who took ho last night." Her eyes lit up.

"It was Ian Sinclair." He turned his head away.

"It was you!"

Her hand reached for his leg, intending to use it as leverage to stand up and catch his evasive gaze.

The soft pads of her fingers rested on his thigh, sliding up and down with her movent, a barely-there caress like a feather brushing across the water’s surface.

Felix Sinclair’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He grabbed her hand, unable to bear it, and forced himself to look directly at her. "Mia Grant."

The hoarse words were squeezed from deep in his throat, his voice trembling. "Are you and Ian Sinclair... together?"
