“Is that all?” Lin Yi asked.
“That’s all, they’re very clean, nothing noteworthy,” Qiu Yuluo said:
“However, buying a house thirty kiloters away in Yuanbao Town, and still living in Changsheng Village afterwards, that is indeed strange.”

“Do you need to have soone look into these two people?”
“Not for now. I have a feeling we’re very close to the truth, but we absolutely can’t spook them, otherwise all our efforts might be wasted.”

“Hold our position,” Lin Yi pondered and then said:
“There might be sothing missing from this clue. I need to think it over again. We can’t find anything definitive with the information we have right now.”

After discussing the case, Lin Yi hung up the phone.
“Is there an ergency?” Yan Ci asked, “Shall we head back now?”
“No need, let’s continue on, it’s not an ergency.”
“Are you sure?” Yan Ci looked at Lin Yi sceptically:
“You don’t have to accommodate ; we’ve already had a lot of fun today.”
“It’s really nothing.”
“Alright.”
Seeing Lin Yi insisting like this, Yan Ci didn’t think much of it and turned her attention back to the scenery around them.
But Lin Yi was still thinking about the case.
Given the current situation, even if he went back to investigate, he wouldn’t know where to start.
So going back would be useless; it would be better to stay here, sort out the threads of the case, and wait for fresh insights before returning.
However, these new insights were not easy to co by.
After much thought, Lin Yi felt that there might be sothing he had overlooked about that house and decided to go back and take another look tomorrow.
If he still couldn’t find any clues, then it would be ti to start investigating Zhang Dadong and his wife.

About forty minutes later, the Painting Boat returned to the dock and the two of them got back onto shore.

“Shall we get so food?”

“Let’s go, I’ll take you.”
“No rush.”
Yan Ci looked around and said, “It’s getting late, I’m going to order so supper for the crew.”
“I never realized President Yan was so caring,” Lin Yi teased.
“Of course, I’m very generous,” replied Yan Ci.
Yan Ci found a bubble tea shop, ordered over a hundred cups of bubble tea and snacks, provided the address, and arranged for delivery.
Since it was on the way, after walking for several minutes, they both made their way back to the filming location.
Everyone was still busily working away.
Yan Ci went over to say hello and issued a few instructions, then ca back to Lin Yi’s side.
“Do you find filming to be quite interesting?”
“Indeed, after all the fuss, ancient costu dramas are fild like this, it’s really good at deceiving people,” Lin Yi said with a wry smile.
“It looks fake now, but once it’s actually released, with post-production editing, you won’t be able to tell at all,” Yan Ci said with a smile:
“How about I arrange a stunning beauty for you? You can get the full experience since we are at Qinhuai River, the land of romance.”
“It depends on who is being romanticized,” laughed Lin Yi:

The crew mbers knew that the man standing beside the boss wasn’t soone to ss with, and they didn’t dare to delay.
The man nad Little Zhang hurried over.
“What’s up?”
“I want to ask, what’s inside this bag?”
“These are cabbage seeds, I bought them to use as props.”
“Cabbage seeds…”
Lin Yi murmured, then searched his own body and took out a small clear bag with similarly sized items inside, and the color was almost the sa.
“Could you help check if the item in my hand is cabbage seeds?”
Little Zhang turned on the flashlight of his phone and shone it on them.
“They look similar, but without confirmation, I can’t be sure. It wouldn’t be good to make a mistake.”
