"The reason I’m here is pretty much the sa as yours."
Lin Yi’s face was grim, like a block of unlting ice.
"You all know who I am, so don’t make waste my breath."
The two stood there, not bothering to explain further.
Lin Yi’s reputation was well-known.
If he could find this place, it ant he had enough evidence.
By this point, saying anything more was futile.
The two exchanged a glance and subconsciously backed toward the door.
Helk touched his waist, and two daggers flew from his hands.
The mbers of Team One imdiately scattered in all directions.
The two, seizing the opportunity, dashed for the door.
Their actions were anticipated by Team One, who, after avoiding the sneak attack of the daggers, imdiately charged at the duo.
Realizing the unfavorable situation, Helk and Osley also drew their weapons.
Clang! Clang!
In the blink of an eye, both sides engaged in combat, unable to discern the better.
"Team One from the rumors doesn’t seem that impressive." Helk sneered coldly.
Killer intent surged in his eyes, seemingly disregarding Team One.
Just then, a shadow flashed, moving at an incredible speed, reaching Helk before he even had a chance to react.
"So what do you think of as the leader?"
"You!"
Lin Yi grabbed his head with a large hand and instantly pressed him to the ground.
With his other hand, he drew a black dagger and stabbed it straight into Helk’s abdon.
Helk’s eyes widened, terror etched across his face, enveloped in fear like the air surrounding him.
Quickly, Helk gave up struggling.
He knew that at this point, nothing he did would matter.
He could only find a way to end his own life; otherwise, it would be worse than death.
anwhile, the four mbers of Team One shifted their focus to Osley once Lin Yi appeared.
Soon, they subdued her without much effort.
Lin Yi’s personal intervention was due to recognizing from the fight that Helk’s strength wasn’t weak—already at level C.
The mbers of Team One would require so effort to deal with it.
"Lin Bro, actually, you didn’t need to step in. We could have handled him together."
"Too many people on the boat. The noise will draw others here."
Lin Yi glanced at the two people who were now restrained.
"Tie them up first. Once everyone lands on the island, we’ll interrogate them slowly."
"Understood."
Team One tied the two to chairs.
Even though Helk had been stabbed, Lin Yi’s thod wouldn’t take his life.
"Boss, these are their communication devices."
Zhao Yunhu held out two specialized phones.
Lin Yi took the phones, pocketing them.
The next step was to pry open their mouths.
The one-hour boat trip quickly ended, and people began to disembark one after another.
Interrogation started at that ti.
"Where did Maldi go?"
"We don’t know," Osley replied.
"No problem, take your ti. I’ll show you the thods of the Central Guards Brigade."
Lin Yi nodded, the interrogation was about to begin, while he returned to his room.
Judging by their strength, they were much stronger than the previous people encountered.
This also proved that their status in the Blood Bull Club was higher, aning they had more information.
Perhaps, these two could be the breakthrough point.
As ti progressed, night fell and a full moon rose over the sea, allowing ti and space to quiet down.
Squeak—
Zhang Chaoyue pushed the door open.
"Boss, the man died, and the woman hasn’t said anything. Perhaps she really doesn’t know where Maldi is."
"Still unwilling to speak..."
Lin Yi rested his head on one hand, feeling uneasy about this situation.
The more covert Madir’s actions were, the more it indicated issues.
"But she did ntion other things, though they don’t help with this mission."
"Get so ds from Richie and arrange it for her."
"Okay."
Zhang Chaoyue left the room, while Lin Yi lay by the window, gazing at the moon outside.
He hadn’t expected the mission to track Maldi would be this challenging.
These people might not be tight-lipped but genuinely clueless about Maldi’s whereabouts.
And that wasn’t a good sign.
At dawn, Xiao Bing and Luo Qi returned.
"Still no news on Maldi?"
Xiao Bing shook her head, "But we did find information on soone nad Joyce. The previous operation was jointly planned by him and Maldi."
"We had her identify the portraits from before, and it’s almost certain that the person connecting them is this Joyce."
"Their last eting was in the outskirts of Jing City. She said only Maldi was seen; Joyce seed to have gone to the Middle East."
After listening to Xiao Bing’s account, Lin Yi’s expression remained unchanged, exceptionally stern.
Bzzz—
At that mont, the phone on the table rang.
Turning back, it was Helk’s phone, the caller using a virtual number.
But to Lin Yi, even a virtual number could provide important clues, tracing the hidden IP address behind it.
The phone rang continuously, Lin Yi didn’t answer, and it eventually hung up after a few rings.
Soon after, Osley’s phone rang too.
The incoming number changed again, a characteristic of virtual numbers.
Again, Lin Yi didn’t answer it until it disconnected.
After noting down the two numbers, Xiao Bing took out a laptop and started tracing the IP addresses.
About half an hour later, the IP addresses behind both virtual numbers were traced.
"The addresses are the sa, both dostic," Xiao Bing said.
"Dostic..."
Lin Yi mumbled, then suddenly said,
"Dispose of her and return to the country now."
"Return to the country?!"
The decision surprised both won.
"I feel sothing’s not right," Lin Yi said.
"Even though we’re in the dark, holding the initiative, we’re also being restrained."
After a pause, Lin Yi continued,
"Maldi has a new mission and won’t be around for a while; if we keep waiting here, we’ll be worn out. I’ll have Richie watch over here, and we head back to the country."
"Alright."
Lin Yi made a call to Richie on his phone.
After giving instructions about the situation here, he walked out of the bedroom.
By then, both bodies were dealt with, and the bloodstains on the ground were cleaned with no trace left.
"Let’s go, spread out and et at the airport."
"Yes!"
Under the vast night, Team One left the boat, vanishing into the darkness.
