Upon hearing this, Lin Yi’s expression changed.
"Why are you asking about her?"

"I just went to a eting and saw her when passing by the Research Institute."
"Are you in Zhong Hai?"
"No, in Jing City."

"Where did you have the eting? Which Research Institute?"
"The institute is newly established and likely will be used by Dragon Eagle," Chen Zhiyi said,
"For things like this, you can ask Director Liu. He should know."
At this mont, Lin Yi wasn’t in the mood to focus on matters like these.
The sudden appearance of Li Chuhan here left him quite puzzled.
She hadn’t even contacted him first.
"Why did you go there?"

Flicking ash from his cigarette, Liu Hong continued,

"I understand, don’t worry."
About an hour later, Lin Yi received a call from Ning Che.
"I’ve brought her back, she can’t get inside, drive out to the left, 200 ters."
"Alright."
"I’ll go have a look."
After notifying, Lin Yi got up and went out.
As per Ning Che’s instructions, he drove out of the compound.
Seeing Lin Yi approaching, Ning Che and Chen Zhiyi got out of the car, the forr cautiously warned,
"Hold your temper; she’s a bit tense, try not to get angry."
"I know, you two go back first."
The two won nodded, drove Lin Yi’s car back, while Lin Yi got into Ning Che’s car.
Li Chuhan was sitting in the back, dressed in a jumpsuit, holding a black bag. When she saw Lin Yi getting in, she visibly shivered.
"Haven’t eaten, I assu? Let take you sowhere to eat."
"I-I’m not hungry."
Lin Yi started the car, heading toward the city center.
Li Chuhan clutched her bag tightly, too nervous to say anything.
"When did you arrive in Jing City?"
"Th-this morning."
"Did soone et you?"
"Uh-huh."
"Why didn’t you tell you were coming?"
"Th-they wouldn’t let ."
Lin Yi’s face grew even more sullen.
"What else did they say to you?"
"They said they were from a secret departnt, the sa unit as you, and there was a position open for Research Center Director. They wanted to co over, but that this matter was highly confidential, so I couldn’t tell you. So, I didn’t."
"What’s being in the sa unit as got to do with you coming over?"
"I-I wanted to help you, I was afraid you might get hurt in the future, and then I could take care of you."
Lin Yi said nothing more, quietly driving.
"Did I do sothing wrong?"
"No, we’re two independent units, without much connection," Lin Yi said,
"The work here is quite tiring, I’ll stay here with you for a few days, consider it a vacation, and get so rest."
"No, no, I’ll leave now." Li Chuhan’s voice grew fainter, "This is my fault. If you’re angry, just say so, even scold , please don’t be upset."

Through the rearview mirror, Lin Yi glanced at her.

"Alright."
Lin Yi turned the car around, driving towards the airport, booking her a return flight.
In the bustling departure hall, diverse people filled the space in front of them.
Lin Yi sat on a chair, resting his head on one hand, eyes closed.
Li Chuhan sat beside him, restless, eager to leave this place quickly.
Soon, the airport announcent called for boarding.
"I won’t go anywhere else again, I’ll just stay in Zhong Hai," Li Chuhan said quietly, wiping tears as she spoke.
"If you’re upset, just tell off, don’t bottle it up, it’s not good for your health."
