"I didn’t hit you, why are you giving such a look?"
"He just bought over 200,000 worth of diamond products at our store, this month’s performance is secured."
"What? What did you say? He’s just a security guard, and he bought over 200,000 worth of diamond products?"
"Why would I lie to you? This month’s performance is stable."
The other store clerks exchanged glances and all looked towards Lin Yi.
"The handso guy in the security uniform!"
Lin Yi stopped in his tracks and looked back.
He found several female staff from the jewelry store waving at him.
"Co and have so fun."
"Whoa, am I walking into a trap or sothing?"
Accelerating his pace, Lin Yi walked out of the mall, fearing they might pull him back.
He placed the things he bought into the car.
The booth area was still busy, and Lin Yi wasn’t in a hurry to go over.
The formal activity would start at 2 PM, and his job would start then. Until then, no one could arrange anything for him.
Thinking this, Lin Yi drove away.
First, he delivered the ring to Li Chuhan,
then he discreetly delivered the bracelet to Wang Ying, and lastly went to see Yan Ci.
Arriving at Yan Ci’s company, he found she wasn’t there, so he called her.
"Where are you?"
"What’s Director Lin’s instruction?"
"No instruction, just missing you."
"Oh, I’m honored that you miss ." Yan Ci said with a smile:
"I’m on Qingjiang Road."
"Hmm? Isn’t Qingjiang Road in the suburbs? What are you doing there?"
"I’m filming here, visiting the set to check things out."
"Alright, send your location, I’ll co find you."
"Okay."
Soon enough, Lin Yi received the location from Yan Ci, drove for more than forty minutes, and arrived at the filming location.
He found that it was a villa area, with many crew mbers around, creating a large setup and surrounded by people.
But apart from the crew, there were many fans and enthusiasts waiting to see their idols.
Lin Yi could never understand how people could go crazy over celebrities. He thought, "If I wanted to sleep with them, they’d co to my door instantly."
Sailing smoothly, Lin Yi reached the set and soon found Yan Ci.
"Hmm? How did you get in here?"
Seeing Lin Yi, Yan Ci looked slightly surprised.
"I walked in openly."
"Nobody stopped you?"
"Nope."
Yan Ci sized up Lin Yi once over, "I get it. In that outfit, they’d all think you’re security, so nobody dared stop you."
"Looks like I ought to thank this outfit."
Yan Ci laughed charmingly.
"Why so free today, to co here?"
"I was on duty at the mall today and bought sothing for you in passing."
Saying so, Lin Yi took out a diamond necklace, "See if you like it."
"Director Lin really knows how to handle people. Last ti it was a diamond ring, this ti a diamond necklace; I really can’t handle such indulgence."
"If you can’t handle it, why are you putting it around your neck?"
"I can’t waste Director Lin’s kind gesture."
Saying so, Yan Ci turned around.
"Quick, put it on ."
Standing behind Yan Ci, Lin Yi helped her put on the diamond necklace.
"Feels pretty good."
"Anything from Director Lin is naturally good."
For won, it doesn’t matter what their loved one gives; the important thing is that they give sothing.
"What kind of movie are you shooting with such a large setup?"
"An action movie."
"Trying to compete with Japan for the market?"
"Get lost, it’s not that kind of movie." Yan Ci said:
"It’s a revenge story, about soone who returns after mastering skills to challenge various experts."
"The plot sounds a bit clichéd."
"This movie is aiming for awards, as long as the fight scenes are well done, it’s no problem."
Yan Ci turned and looked at Lin Yi.
"Do you know martial arts?"
Lin Yi glanced at Yan Ci, making her feel uneasy all over.
"Why are you looking at like this?"
"Your question is like asking a foreigner why their English is so good."
"But you probably practice Sandboxing or Mixed Martial Arts, it doesn’t quite relate to traditional martial arts."
"Then you haven’t seen use these skills."
"Well, perfect. You can guide us and see if there are any flaws."
"It’s not just up to my guidance; it depends on whether your actors have the skills. Otherwise, no matter how much I teach, it won’t work," Lin Yi said:
"The saying ’a clever housewife can’t cook a al without rice’ should make sense to you."
"I understand, but don’t worry. The main actors in this movie are well-known action stars; they have the skills, though surely not as good as yours."
Lin Yi chuckled, "If they could match , they wouldn’t be here."
"By the way, I just rembered sothing."
Yan Ci looked at Lin Yi, "You have a few younger brothers, right? I think they look decent enough, could you get them to do so cao scenes?"
"Forget about them, they’re good as martial arts instructors for you, but it’s better for them to stay low-profile."
"I was just saying casually, anyway, with you here."
Lin Yi smiled and gently touched Yan Ci’s face.
After a few words, the next scene was about to be fild.
"This one is our significant scene, keep an eye out and direct if there are any inappropriate parts."
"OK."
Lin Yi stood in the corner, watching as two male actors took their stance on the grass.
Their posture had issues, not standard, far from correct.
But such a posture was more aesthetically pleasing and could better showcase montum, quite fitting for a movie shoot.
After all, it’s a film, not an actual fight to the death.
Once shooting started, the two actors began to fight.
You could tell they had so foundation.
Soon, they went from the ground to the rooftops, wall-climbing, with a real sense of punch and impact, not bad at all.
This take lasted over a minute long.
The director shouted cut, satisfied, wrapping up the scene.
"Our two teachers, that was phenonal acting."
The director ca out clapping continuously, looking very pleased.
The two leads also smiled, nodding, evidently satisfied with their performance.
"How did you find it?" Yan Ci asked.
"So-so, enough to fool the audience."
"That’s not enough; we need it to be as perfect as possible, especially since it’s aiming for awards."
Yan Ci tidied her hair, looking at Lin Yi.
"Can you say what’s wrong?"
"Just that they didn’t go far enough. The moves they just used, one was Wing Chun, the other Eight Extres Fist, all too superficial." Lin Yi said:
"You need to know that compared to other martial arts, these two styles are more aggressive. They haven’t captured the essence."
"I get what you an." Yan Ci said earnestly:
"I’ll call them over now and have you guide them."
