Gu Zheng flew over a row of towering mountain peaks and entered Sishui Prefecture.
He soared through the sky, sensing for the atball Demon Fiend’s aura and periodically checking it against the sample he had collected.
The part of Sishui Prefecture adjacent to Wulong Mansion was Cold Yin County.
Beyond that was Xuanhe County.
Slightly north of Xuanhe and Cold Yin was Divine Water County.
The three counties were clustered together in a triangular formation.
South of the three counties lay a stretch of uncultivable sandy land. At the end of this sandy land was one of Fengzhou’s famous rivers, the Celestial Water River.
The Celestial Water River did not pass through Wulong Mansion. As it neared the mansion, it made a wide turn and flowed southeast.
Gu Zheng entered Cold Yin County first. He made a circuit but found nothing unusual.
He moved on to Xuanhe County and still found nothing out of the ordinary.
He did, however, run into a squad of Demon Suppression Guards on a mission.

In a flash, he descended from the sky and landed in front of the squad of Demon Suppression Guards.
"Tang Jingtiao, Xu Heng, Chen Donghe, Lv Yan, and Liang Tianpeng greet you, My Lord!"
The five Demon Suppression Guards, all with auras at or above the Mountain-Shaking level of the Alien Body realm, faced Gu Zheng and saluted with clasped fists.
"What mission are you on?"
Gu Zheng returned the salute and asked, "I am Gu Zheng."
"To answer you, Lord Gu, we are tracking a branch of the Wise Demon Race." As the leader, Liang Tianpeng stepped forward and replied, "According to our findings, this branch of the Wise Demon Race ca down from the north. The Double-Faced Hero Demon Fiend that caused chaos at Jinshan Temple also ca from the north."
"Mm."
Gu Zheng nodded. These five were now acting as Demon Hunters.
’Hunting for Demon Fiends...’

"Do you have any special thods for tracking Demon Fiends?" Gu Zheng asked.

The small young man took two steps forward and bowed nervously.

Liang Tianpeng quickly agreed. He then looked at Chen Donghe and urged, "Da He, what are you spacing out for? Hurry up and help Lord Gu find that Demon Fiend."
"Yes, yes."
Chen Donghe hastily complied, pulling a pocket-sized mouse, no bigger than half a palm, from his robes.
It was a silvery-white pocket mouse with large ears.
"Lord Gu, do you have the aura of that Tier 2 Demon Fiend?"
Chen Donghe asked, holding the pocket mouse cupped in his hands as he looked at Gu Zheng.
"I do."
Gu Zheng transferred the wisp of the atball Demon Fiend’s aura he had collected to Chen Donghe.
The latter’s Divine Wondrous power surged as he received it, and he brought it close to the pocket mouse.
"Treasure, co and sniff..."

The pocket mouse twitched its nose, took a sniff, and imdiately fell over, its four legs sticking straight up in the air, completely still.
