Seeing Mao Dun return alone leisurely, Tong Dan couldn’t help feeling puzzled, her eyes darting around.
“Stop looking, he’s over there.”
Mao Dun gestured outside.
Tong Dan subconsciously turned her head and was imdiately startled, “Fang Qing, who is that woman?”
Fang Qing also looked over.
Although she hadn’t witnessed Ding He getting slapped, from their expressions it was evident they seed to be arguing about sothing.
“I don’t recognize her.”
“You don’t recognize her?”
Tong Dan looked surprised.
“Yeah, never seen her before.”
Fang Qing honestly admitted, but she was sure this woman wasn’t a colleague from the law firm.
“Could she be a client?” Tong Dan guessed.
“I don’t think so.”
Mao Dun muttered as he watched.
“Why doesn’t she look like it?” Tong Dan was puzzled.
Mao Dun shrugged nonchalantly, “I just saw her get out of the car and slap Lawyer Ding.
Even if she were a client, she wouldn’t do that, right?
Could she be Lawyer Ding’s girlfriend?”
Girlfriend?
Tong Dan was stunned.
In her opinion, Ding He had always been single; otherwise, he wouldn’t repeatedly try to set him up or joke about it in front of Fang Qing.
“Does Lawyer Ding have a girlfriend?”
She asked Fang Qing belatedly.
Fang Qing shook her head, still responding with a “I don’t know.”
“He’s your boss and superior, how can you not know anything?” Tong Dan blurted out.
Mao Dun couldn’t help but glance at the capable and beautiful Fang Qing.
Though he wasn’t as flirtatious as his buddy Yu Feihong, his love life was certainly not simple.
It was just workplace drama.
Of course, he didn’t ddle or care about other people’s relationships—they had nothing to do with him.
“We only have a professional relationship; how could I possibly know about Lawyer Ding’s private life?”
Fang Qing calmly responded.
Tong Dan’s lips moved slightly but she said no more, continuing to watch the scene unfold.
“It’s illegal to surveil soone!”
Despite being brazenly slapped, Ding He didn’t retaliate.
Otherwise, it might have been considered a mutual fight.
He just tightly held onto the phone that likely had surveillance software installed, maintaining restraint.

The woman’s gaze was scornful and fearless.
Ding He clenched his teeth, displaying imnse tolerance as he tried to speak calmly, “Let’s go back.”

The woman ignored him, “Since I’m already here, there’s no rush.

Saying this, she proceeded to walk toward the courtyard.

Ding He grabbed her wrist, speaking sternly, “I was wrong today, let’s stop this.
Let’s go back.”
Being surveilled and even slapped, yet still apologizing ekly?
The domineering woman remained indifferent, coldly saying, “Let go.”
Ding He clenched his teeth, his face tense, but slowly released her hand.
The woman walked on, passing him by.
Ding He’s expression changed, and then he took a deep breath and turned to follow her.
“Thin eyebrows, narrow cheekbones, high forehead, this woman looks troubleso indeed.”
Mao Dun mumbled as he observed the approaching woman.
“You understand physiognomy?”
Though she said this, Tong Dan felt Mao Dun’s judgnt made sense, aligning with her own impression.
The unfamiliar woman walked straight towards them.
Ding He hurried forward, speaking softly to the woman, but she gave no response.
Tong Dan subconsciously glanced at Fang Qing.
Fang Qing remained composed.
“This visitor bodes no good.”
Mao Dun spoke with conviction, “See?
There’s a dark aura all around her.”
“Cut it out.”
Realizing the relationship between the two might be extraordinary, Tong Dan glared at him.
Mao Dun mid zipping his lips.
“What is it that makes you so reluctant to leave?”
The woman sneered.
Ding He suppressed his agitation, grabbing the last bit of distance, he briefly said, “A friend of Xiao Fang invited us here…”
The woman wasn’t listening.
Seeing this, Ding He clenched his teeth harder, saving his breath as he saw no escape and quickly moved ahead of her.
As the two approached, they eventually ca before Fang Qing and the others.

The tension was palpable.

Tong Dan was stunned montarily, then her face reddened with anger, about to retort, but Fang Qing quickly pulled her arm.
“Who did I seduce?”

“Nowadays, are all young won so shaless, only thinking of taking shortcuts and climbing high branches, unable to earnestly rely on their own efforts?”
The woman spoke flatly, her average face filled with condescension and harshness.
Unable to contain it any longer, Tong Dan shook off Fang Qing’s hand, her face red and ears hot, “Who are you calling shaless?!”
