Capítulo 1856: Chapter 1225: The Art of War by Sun Tzu (2)

“Ang Su called . He has already proposed our terms, and judging by the tone over there, there’s a high probability they’ll agree.”

Mu Lun wasn’t overly joyful, and said seriously, “Then we should prepare as soon as possible.”

The Family Head, half a head shorter than him, nodded, “Preparation is needed, though many might not understand.”

“General, if so don’t understand, it could be so of our old comrades. I believe so ideological work can resolve it without major issues. We’re not surrendering to the governnt, we’re just seeking space and ti to better adjust ourselves.”

Compared to Wei Yi, whose strengths lean more towards the battlefield, Mu Lun’s words undoubtedly resonated more with the Family Head.

n also need confidants, don’t they?

“The East has a military strategy called ‘Build high walls, store up grain, and slowly proclaim king.’ Our expansion has been too fast, like a greedy snake; without restraint, we’ll either burst ourselves or beco the target of all. What we need most now is to digest the results of our achievents well. We need space and ti.”

The Family Head spoke slowly, with deep insights and foresight.

Mu Lun sighed, “General, I believe everyone can understand you.”

“It’s difficult.”

The Family Head’s expression was indifferent, “The new people joined us out of circumstantial compulsion; their needs are simple, so they won’t react too intensely. But our previous brothers are different.”

“For example… Wei Yi,” Mu Lun continued knowingly.

It’s not about exclusion or suppression.

It’s genuinely from a practical viewpoint.

Why did military forces, militia groups, and independent troops in Myanmar beco bandits?

Born rebels?

They were just hungry.

In other words, if they could have happiness and stability, who would want to wander in destitution?

If they could be fed and clothed, who would risk their lives out of boredom? There are many other ways to seek thrills.

And why are so many hungry?

Isn’t it due to the incompetence of the authorities?

Therefore, the nurous ard forces in northern Myanmar, without exception, harbor hatred towards the Myanmar governnt, at least among the grassroots soldiers.

Needless to say for the Allies, as they are the vanguard against telecom fraud, and where is the source of rampant fraud?

Those who understand do understand.

Now suddenly finding out that forr mortal enemies are about to sit at the sa table to dine, it would be hard for anyone to accept.

Especially Wei Yi.

Wei Yi has deep enmity with the Four Major Families, and his military achievents partly ca from stepping on their faces.

Especially the Wei Family.

Wei Yi was originally from the Wei Family, but was later ostracized and suppressed, forced to leave. The powerful Wei Family wouldn’t rest, trying to eliminate him completely, but ultimately failed. After joining the Allies, Wei Yi hit back, striking relentlessly at the core industries of the Wei Family. Even last year, he achieved the feat of personally hanging the son of the Wei Family Head in their manor.

It sounds like a thrilling story co to life.

But now it seems to be headed for an unsatisfactory ending.

The enmity of child murder is irreconcilable, not sothing that can be diluted, much less resolved.

In their struggles against the Allies, the Wei Family and even the Four Major Families have indeed suffered significant setbacks, but they aren’t dead.

Within Myanmar, they still possess considerable influence.

Now, to lay down arms and eat together, even if they can’t overturn the table, wouldn’t the Four Major Families with their deep animosity think of underhanded thods?

Thus, the primary issue with accepting amnesty is how to deal with people like Wei Yi?

“We have to consider the thoughts of these old brothers.”

The Family Head said as he walked.

“Why don’t I first probe Wei Yi’s attitude?”

Mu Lun suggested tentatively.

Others might not matter, but Wei Yi is significant. Though not responsible for half of Jiangshan, at least a third of the Allies’ current power is due to his efforts.

His high status is secondary; the key is Wei Yi’s reputation in the military.

This is the real hassle.

“You’ve worked with Mu Lun for so long. Do you think Wei Yi is willing to smile and bury the hatchet with the Four Major Families?”

Mu Lun moved his lips, about to speak, then heard, “Speak the truth.”

Mu Lun’s tone paused, then he showed a bitter smile, shook his head, and sighed, “The difficulty is considerable.”

“You aren’t very close with him, and you think going isn’t just a waste of effort, but possibly even self-humiliation?”

Clearly, as a leader, the Family Head is well aware of the colleague relationships among his subordinates.

It seems besides military strategy, the Emperor’s Heart Technique from the East is quite popular here too.

“…Only by trying will we know the result.”

Mu Lun said awkwardly.

“Wei Yi is currently in charge of investigating the K.E Factory terror case…”

“Mm.” Mu Lun nodded, “I heard there’s been so progress.”

The Family Head glanced at him, his naturally nacing face showing no emotion, “Is the news you’ve heard really that simple?”

Mu Ler showed hesitation and difficulty, but finally said, “General, while Wei Yi’s actions might seem impulsive, I think they’re understandable. After all, he’s just eager to reveal the truth sooner, fulfilling the General’s commission.”

At such a ti, instead of kicking soone when they’re down, he righteously defended and excused the other party.

As a political rival, it was indeed admirable.

Of course.

Perhaps it was also a strategic retreat, consciously done to demonstrate his magnanimity and righteousness to the leadership.

And the Family Head likely saw it that way too, smiling mildly, “If you and he switched places, and now you were Wei Yi and he was you, do you think Wei Yi would answer like this? Would he help to explain?”

Mu Lun gave a bitter smile, remaining silent.

The Family Head looked forward, continuing to walk slowly, “You, ah, are always smoother than Wei Yi, while Wei Yi is much more straightforward than you. So what he can do, you’ll never manage, and vice versa.”

Mu Lun followed silently.

“Although I’ve said I’d fully support him, I never allowed him to openly lead troops against local governnt buildings. Was there really no gentler way? Couldn’t he think, or was he just unwilling to think?”

Mu Lun dared not interject or, rather, was content to hear it.

“Because of his impulsiveness, I’ve received countless criticisms and demands for his punishnt, yet I’ve suppressed all of them.”

“General, I believe Wei Yi harbors no personal motives.”

Mu Lun spoke with difficulty.

“Many have said before that he’s beco arrogant due to favor, so even mutter about his deeds shaking the ruler. I’ve never minded, but now…”

The Family Head said, “Does he really lack any sense of proportion? Does he genuinely not care, or is he deliberately putting in a difficult position?”

How did the conversation shift?

Weren’t they discussing persuading the whole army to accept amnesty?

At this ti, logically, Mu Lun shouldn’t speak, because regardless of what he says, it would be wrong. Speaking for Wei Yi would an defying his superior, being hypocritical. If he sides against Wei Yi, it would be instigating and kicking soone when they’re down, so it’s best to remain silent. Yet, he still didn’t keep quiet.

“General, let’s do this. We first call Wei Yi back and see how he explains himself.”

“If he wanted to explain, he would’ve co back on his own long ago.”

The Family Head said succinctly.

Mu Lun imdiately quieted down.

“Travel the world, roam the states, how could human hearts compare to an ever-flowing stream, everyone talks about the Three Heroes of the Peach Garden, but who among friends go to old age together.”

The Family Head recited.

Mu Lun’s expression turned solemn, and he refrained from speaking further.

“You are the quartermaster, and one of the main pillars of our Allies, Mu Lun. Now, it’s ti for you to step up.”

The Family Head said, “Wei Yi still has quite a few followers in the army. If they are unwilling to cooperate, we’ll have to take necessary asures. The weather is warming, take out the weapons from your arsenal and let them see so sunlight.”

Mu Lun looked shocked, hesitated, wanting to speak but holding back.

“At any ti, always be fully prepared; only then can you be invincible. I’ll give you a copy of The Art of War by Sun Tzu; read it whenever you have ti.”

Is he planning on cultivating a new frontline general?

“Yes.”

Mu Lun bowed his head in agreent, saying no more.

Or perhaps this was the awaited outco?

The Family Head stopped, watching the drilling formation.

“Go get busy.”
