Chen Mobai’s Divine Sense focused on observing within the territory of East Wu.
The once war-torn land now showed no signs of the post-war scorched earth.
The ravines, deep pits, and canyons created by the explosion of the Spirit Veins had all disappeared. Under the efforts of the Five Elements Sect Earth Masters led by Zhuo Ming, East Wu had bee an unprecedented super flatland on the East Continent.
Bordering Yun Meng Ze were rice paddies neatly arranged like squares.
Amidst the swaying rice stalks in the wind, grains shimmered with a five-colored luster, marking the mature Five-Colored Rice, which had bee one of the trademarks of the Five Elements merce Association.
Many disciples from the Five Elements Sect’s Spirit Plant Department wielded the agricultural puppet machinery designed by Chen Mobai, effortlessly harvesting hundreds of acres alone.
Aside from the Five Elements Sect disciples, new villages stood by the rice fields. These were East Wu descendants who chose to return after the land was well-managed by Zhuo Ming.
Upon their return, they were allocated by the Five Elements Sect around the Twelve Prefectures rebuilt per Spirit Field production areas, helping look after the Spirit Rice.
What they needed to do was observe at all times.
If the Spirit Rice showed any abnormalities, they were to report immediately to higher-ups, step by step, ensuring the Five Elements Sect was informed.
Under Chen Mobai’s orders, King Zhou Wangshen sincerely wanted to develop East Wu, showcasing his abilities. Therefore, in the twelve rebuilt counties, he dispatched several core disciples from the Five Elements Sect to hold positions.
These disciples were mostly Earth Masters or Spirit Plant Masters.
Each of them managed at least a hundred acres of Spirit Fields, and any issues would be tracked back to them personally.
If there was poor harvest yield from the Spirit Rice, it would be thoroughly investigated.
As the Five Elements Sect grew its assets, even though resources for the upper tiers were still relatively abundant, petition at the Foundation Establishment and Qi Cultivation levels became increasingly fierce.
Chen Mobai had long established the annual minor assessments and the ten-year large assessments system.
Farming, mining, herb gathering, beast keeping, demon hunting, treasure quests, garrison duties, law enforcement, alchemy, talisman making, formation tools, teaching cultivation techniques, and so forth, each level of disciples had corresponding assessment standards.
Passing the assessment was necessary to fully receive one’s annual benefits.
If performance was excellent, there were respective rewards; conversely, there were also penalties, starting with warnings, progressing to deductions of Spirit Stones, and more.
Currently, in East Wu, due to the separation by Yun Meng Ze from the Eastern Wilderness, King Zhou Wangshen had essentially set up a miniature Five Elements Sect, consolidating all these assessment powers within his grasp.
Chen Mobai provided the necessary support for this.
As rewards for the assessments, Foundation Establishment Trithings, Magic Artifacts, and Talismans, E Yun distributed one-tenth of the Five Elements Sect’s production to this area.
With these incentives, many disciples of the Five Elements Sect, who struggled to pete in the Eastern Wilderness headquarters, were willing to try their luck in East Wu.
There were already several instances of disciples successfully obtaining Foundation Establishment Trithings due to outstanding task assessments here.
With control over rewards and penalties, King Zhou Wangshen manded the sect disciples in East Wu with ease. However, he knew his task was to satisfy Chen Mobai.
Thus, he often personally patrolled various parts of East Wu, sometimes stepping down to address issues that the Five Elements Sect disciples were unable to handle.
Due to the vastness of East Wu’s territory, only a few Five Elements Sect disciples were willing to struggle here.
Thus, King Zhou Wangshen recruited many loose cultivators and even previous cultivator families from East Wu, in hopes of depending on them to fully reclaim and control the still-desolate regions of East Wu.
However, no cultivator family was willing to return.
Having painstakingly contributed through the war, gaining the sympathy and incorporation by the Five Elements Sect, and being honored Eastern Wilderness residents, how could they regress?
Only those really struggling loose cultivators, or those shady rogue cultivators, chose to return.
With a thought, Chen Mobai already teleported to the edge of a Spirit Field about to harvest.
The first task during the rebuilding of East Wu was naturally to rearrange the Large Formation.
Chen Mobai had long handed over the Array Diagram to Yi Shaoqing, who, leading the Formation Division disciples, extended the Sky Curtain Ground Network to this area.
Thus, Chen Mobai could teleport here via Void Teleportation.
Not far from the Spirit Field is a small village, with cooking smoke rising, indicating that sunset was near. In the fields, the rice spikes, shimmering with five-colored lights, swayed with the wind. Farmers, sweating, were weeding and displayed harvest joy on their faces.
Though these Spirit Fields belonged to the Five Elements Sect, should there be a good harvest, they stood to gain many rewards as well.
Grains, fabrics, ironware, meat, vegetable seeds, and even wooden houses that could simply spring up upon setting on land, were all incredibly useful items for them.
Under Five Elements Sect rule, the returning people of East Wu were living unprecedentedly good lives.
Seeing this, Chen Mobai couldn’t help but softly nod, acknowledging King Zhou Wangshen’s efforts in building East Wu.
Then, he visited another forestry production area in East Wu.
Following his requirements, due to manpower shortages, the Five Elements Sect planted various Spirit Woods and Spirit Plants wherever it could not develop into Spirit Fields. The water source from Yun Meng Ze was also redirected here by Zhuo Ming, flowing through the forests, nurturing these plantations.
