Chapter 104: Chapter 101 Taoist Divine Palace (Please Subscribe)_2

“Wait a mont…”

Just as Chen Yuan reached the doorway, Su Ziyue suddenly called out to him.

“Is there anything else Miss Su needs to command?”

Chen Yuan asked with a light chuckle.

“Take this and cultivate well, consider yourself owing this Miss a favor.”

Su Ziyue gave Chen Yuan a disdainful look and, out of nowhere, tossed him a black porcelain vial the size of a palm.

...

Chen Yuan dared not look too closely and hurriedly caught it.

He gave it a slight shake and, feeling no elixirs inside, Chen Yuan asked in confusion:

“What is this?”

“Snow Jade Ointnt. Apply it to your body during cultivation; it’s a rare spiritual object for Bone Refining Martial Artists. Rember, you owe a favor, and you will repay it.”

Su Ziyue said indifferently.

“Spiritual object, Snow Jade Ointnt…”

Chen Yuan’s mouth fell open slightly, and though he had never heard that na before, being labeled as a spiritual object, it was undoubtedly a rare treasure, especially since it was given to him by the powerhouse Su Ziyue.

“Thank you, Miss Su.”

Su Ziyue closed her eyes and waved her hand dismissively.

Chen Yuan, taking the hint, stowed the Snow Jade Ointnt into his chest and opened Shuiyue Pavilion’s room door, then turned back and slowly closed the door behind him.

Heaving a sigh of relief, Chen Yuan was just about to leave when suddenly, the door to his left opened, and Wang Ping, with his belt in his hands, looked up to find both n locked in a mutual startled gaze.

They then shared a knowing smile with each other, neither ntioning the previous declaration of going ho to sleep.

“Creak.”

A sound suddenly erged, and a person walked out of the room on the right.

The atmosphere between the three n imdiately tensed.

“Dad! What are you doing here?”

Upon recognizing the man, Wang Ping blurted out in surprise.

Indeed, the man who had just erged was none other than Wang Ping’s father, Wang Dafu!

Wang Dafu stood there frozen, in the midst of the sa action as Wang Ping—fastening his belt, with a face full of satisfaction. Yet, upon seeing the figures of Chen Yuan and Wang Ping, his face flickered with shock and embarrassnt.

“I… I…”

Wang Dafu opened his mouth but found he couldn’t say anything.

At this mont, any attempt at an excuse would be utterly futile; the facts were in plain sight.

“Uncle Wang, you also ca to enjoy the music?”

Chen Yuan said with a smile.

“Ah… Yes, yes, yes… I ca to listen to the music. What about you guys…” Wang Dafu eyed Wang Ping and Chen Yuan together, his gaze flashing with shock.

Could it be…

Had they embarked on the sa rocky, muddied path?

“We just happened to bump into each other, what a coincidence.” Chen Yuan smiled, dispelling Wang Dafu’s astonishnt.

“Dad, weren’t you off on a business trip? How co…”

Wang Dafu stifled a cough with his hand:

“Hm, just got back, just relaxing a bit.”

“And you, up to no good in the middle of the night, coming to such a place of temptation—have you forgotten about the marriage I arranged for you?” Wang Dafu scolded with a stern face.

Wang Ping pursed his lips indifferently:

“Enough, Dad, do you think I don’t know what you’re up to?”

“Cough, cough…”

Embarrassnt washed over Wang Dafu’s face.

While Wang Ping was well aware of his father’s predilection for brothels, such an awkward post-affair encounter was a first for both, leaving anyone boundlessly embarrassed.

Observing the exceedingly awkward situation, Chen Yuan whispered:

“You carry on, I’ve got sothing else to attend to, I’ll be leaving now.”

After speaking, he quickly headed toward the staircase.

“Hold on, Brother Yuan, let’s go together.” Saying this, Wang Ping promptly followed suit and, while walking, turned his head back and addressed Wang Dafu:

“Dad, such places can be quite deep; co here less from now on. You’re getting older—you can’t handle it.”

After Wang Ping’s figure had completely vanished, Wang Dafu snorted lightly:

“If I can’t grasp it, can you, my son?”

“These waters are deep, and full of *…”

North City.

Inside the Chen Family’s small courtyard.

Chen Yuan shut the door, lit a candle, and sat quietly on the bed, sorting through the events of the evening from beginning to end, starting with being ambushed and on the brink of death.

Then, he was saved by Su Ziyue and joined the Taoist Divine Palace.

The events that had unfolded that night were indeed nurous for Chen Yuan.

The Taoist Divine Palace, this organization ntioned by Su Ziyue, how mysterious was it really, and how strong was its power? What were their goals, and how had they found him?

And what was the situation with Qi Fortune…

Truthfully, Chen Yuan had many questions, but no one to provide answers.

The one thing Chen Yuan could take solace in was that the Taoist Divine Palace had no ill intentions towards him for the ti being, nor did they seem to care much about him.

Chen Yuan was sowhat relieved by this; what he feared most was sudden attention, as that would surely an there were so sinister secrets involved.

Through the information revealed by Su Ziyue, Chen Yuan was able to deduce so things: mbers of the Taoist Divine Palace were definitely very powerful, with significant influence. To beco an official mber, one would need not just strength but also to accrue so rit.

Moreover, it seed the Taoist Divine Palace also had a hidden force within the Heavenly Patrol Bureau and the imperial court, the strength of which was currently unknown, but was certainly formidable.

And…

What were they planning to do with their hidden strength within the imperial court?

If it were just for self-preservation, that would definitely not be the case. They were nurturing their wings and expanding their influence; could there be so strategies involved?

Furthermore, it appeared that the Taoist Divine Palace had enemies as well, and they even took great care to instruct him not to reveal the three words “Taoist Divine Palace.”

Heaving a long sigh, Chen Yuan’s mind was flooded with thoughts, but with the information at hand, all he could do was guess; there was nothing he could actually do.

After all, at the mont, he was rely a small Bone Refining Martial Artist.

In a single county domain, a Bone Refining Martial Artist could be considered a person of so standing, but if one considered the broader Qingzhou, or even Nanling Prefecture, a Bone Refining Martial Artist was rather ordinary.

Thinking this, Chen Yuan took out the black porcelain bottle Su Ziyue had given him and examined it carefully.

Having joined the Taoist Divine Palace, Chen Yuan was to follow Su Ziyue’s instructions to join the Heavenly Patrol Bureau next. With Zhang Xuan’s favor, Chen Yuan’s path ahead seed much broader.

This was, for the ti being, his best opportunity!

Previously, Chen Yuan did not want to leave Ping’an County too quickly; firstly, because his own strength was still inadequate, and secondly, he did not know Zhang Xuan well enough to rush into joining the Heavenly Patrol Bureau just because he was invited.

However, after listening to Su Ziyue’s explanation, Chen Yuan realized that if he rejected Zhang Xuan now, he would miss a great opportunity, since Zhang Xuan’s father was a significant figure within the Heavenly Patrol Bureau.

With his father’s care, Zhang Xuan’s future was boundless, and if Chen Yuan could gain Zhang Xuan’s favor, he too could ride the tailwinds.

But Chen Yuan also understood that where there are people, there is Jianghu. The great power of the Heavenly Patrol Bureau also ant that there would undoubtedly be nurous factions within it. Joining Zhang Xuan’s faction would inevitably offend people from other factions…

Shaking his head, Chen Yuan suddenly laughed at himself mockingly; he was just at Bone Refining Cultivation, yet he had so many thoughts.

Even if there were any struggles, they would have little to do with a Bone Refining Martial Artist like him.

His primary goal was not scheming, but to improve his own strength!

Upon opening the black porcelain bottle, a peculiar refreshing fragrance wafted out.

rely slling it seed to invigorate the senses.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Yuan poured out so of the contents of the bottle, which were snow-white, transparent and sowhat viscous.

Removing his clothes, Chen Yuan evenly spread it across his right arm and then circulated the Vajra Glaze Body Technique Mantra.

The blood and Qi in his body surged, and specks of golden paint began to spread across his arm.

Imdiately after…

Chen Yuan saw the Snow Jade Ointnt sared on his body begin to lt and seep into his flesh.

In an instant, Chen Yuan felt an extrely cooling sensation washing over the tendons and bones of his right arm. His blood and Qi were instantly activated. If one had eyes that could see through flesh, they would see specks of golden light starting to appear on the tendons and bones of Chen Yuan’s right arm…

The Bone Refining Cultivation process was not much different from that of Skin Refining; it involved refining the entire body’s bones into a pale gold color, thus completing the cultivation of the Bone Refining Realm.

A few days ago, when he initially stepped into Bone Refining, Chen Yuan actually didn’t practice cultivation, but instead focused on Saber Technique and Dark Force circulation thods taught by Zhao Nanshan.

Because he had previously ingested too many Bone Refining Pills in a short period, the accumulated pill toxins had not been expelled, but after several days of continuous refinent by the Marrow Cleansing Spirit Pearl.

Now, it was almost done.

He could formally begin the Bone Refining Level cultivation!
