Chapter 39: Hunting The Hunters
A pitch black colored bow with blue patterns materialized before LOng Ming as he grabbed it.
The mont Long Ming grabbed it, he felt like he was lifting a giant boulder.

It made Long Ming a bit distracted as he released the arrow. He aid directly at the head, but the voice made him lower his aim a bit.

The man suddenly fell down from the building and his right shoulder turned into a bloody mist. The agonizing pain made him scream, alerting the ones who were pursuing Long Ming.

Long Ming wished he could punch himself as he hurried and hid in the shadows again. The man was lying in a pool of blood as two other people surrounded him.
Jun Tianyun recognized one of them, who acted as the steward of the City Lord.

Long Ming's eyes turned cold when he heard the words. He thought the pursuers might leave if they saw their comrade like that. But it was all his wishful thinking.

The arrow was simply noiseless as it turned into a pink beam of light. Before that fake steward could do sothing, his eyes were already filled with pink radiance.

Long Ming stood still as he saw the head of that steward turning into a bloody mist and his headless body falling on the ground.
Suddenly, Long Ming felt his heart turning serene, like a frozen lake amidst winter. There wasn't a single ripple at all.
He stepped out of the shadows as he walked toward the remaining two. He took out another arrow as he knocked on the bow.
" Bastard! Just wait!"
The third assassin shivered as he looked at Long Ming. Long Ming's face was simply tranquil and calm. But it was too calm as if he didn't have any expression at all.
But then, the person turned around as black mist covered his legs. He jumped as he tried to escape. The black mist turned into a cloud as that person flew.
' Danger! That brat is so dangerous!' His teeth chattered as he didn't dare to look back.
Although Long Ming looked calm and tranquil, that person could feel the overwhelming aura of killing and death around him. He felt like a crazy murdering demon who escaped from hell.
A demon with a tranquil and handso face.
The black mist spread across his body as he covered a protective barrier around his body. Suddenly, he felt another arrow chasing him and he focused all his energy to defend himself.
*BOOM*
The arrow landed on his back as it clashed against the black mist. The black mist dissipated as the arrow crumbled.
" HAHA! I AM ALIVE! YOU CAN'T DO-"
The man laughed loudly as he was about to increase his speed. But his face froze when he saw there were already two more arrows reaching his side.
As he was about to dodge the right one, the left one pierced his heart as the Fragrant Yin Qi exploded.
" KHUAA"
The man's upper body turned into a bloody ss as he fell from the sky. Long Ming looked at the scene with calm eyes as he walked toward the one lying on the road with injuries.
" Sp-Spare ! I… I will tell you everything!" The man's body twitched as he tried to beg for Long Ming's rcy.

Long Ming's palm moved as the remaining Fragrant Yin Qi in his dantian poured into his palm.

Suddenly, Long Ming looked at the sky as he started to laugh. His tranquil expression turned into sothing twisted and maniac as his laughter continued.

Long Ming fell to his knees and clutched his head. He tried to return to his sense as only one thought filled in his mind.
" KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL!"
An unbearable heat spread across his body as he felt his mind would be overtaken by the killing intent.
He knew he never killed anyone. But this feeling... It was like he was a master of killing people. If felt as if killing soone was sa as breathing for him.
Suddenly, He saw a silhouette of a person as his breathing increased.
" You…You are here…"
Long Ming's vision was getting blurry as his grip over the Illusory Lightning was lessening.
" Long Ming!"
Mu Qinglian rushed as she hold Long Ming tightly.
" Are…Are you ok?"
But Long Ming didn't reply as he fell unconscious.
Mu Qinglian trembled as she could feel a thick killing intent from his body, a stark contrast to his refined and handso face.
' His body… He is burning.'
Mu Qinglian untied his robe as she rushed back holding him. She could see the black and white veins on Long Ming's arms shining as the spider lilies seems to be spreading his left shoulder and chest.
' Just… Just be safe!'
Mu Qinglian prayed as she turned into a flash of light as she disappeared along with Long Ming.
' Pain… So much pain.'
Long Ming's body twitched he felt like his soul was getting sliced apart by small knives.
' Kill more! Just kill one more person!'
' The greatest killer of heaven and earth!'

Long Ming felt like a hidden set of mories unlocked in his mind.

Long Ming's eyes snapped open as he sat back. A terrible pain assaulted his body as his expression twisted from agony.

Xiao'er saw Long Ming as she shouted.
" Ugh…How long I slept for?" Long Ming clutched his head as he asked Xiao'er.
