Li Xin widened his eyes forcefully, bared his teeth, adjusted his mood, and changed the subject, "Aunt Fei, how’s your beauty pageant plan going? Do you need my advice?"

"I worked on it all day yesterday, and the more I think about it, the more excited I get. We’re discussing it at a eting this morning and I’ll have a good chat with the editor-in-chief and the president to try to secure it. If there are problems, I’ll talk to you. You can’t escape it. It’s your first day at the Canon Law School, so go early; don’t be late. Xueyin, are you ready?"

"All right, all right, stop pushing!" Xueyin was teasing Justin; she always felt this cat was quite the actor. One hand was holding Justin’s head, and the other was rubbing its whiskers. Justin felt like he was seeing his great-grandma.

Why does such a gentle-looking girl act like a little demon?

Last night, Justin was forcibly outfitted with a pink bell. Poor Justin was in a funk all night and couldn’t get over it. Ever since getting the pink bell, Justin was more popular at ho. "Mom, can I take Justin to school?"

Justin shook his head desperately; even ghosts don’t go to school, so how could a cat?

"No." Lin Fei decisively refused.

Xueyin regretfully patted Justin, thinking she would show him off to her classmates. "Be good and wait for at ho; I’ll play with you after school."

Justin rolled his eyes; only a madman would play with a kid. She’s scarier than Dragon Mother. This human imp is very malicious, second only on his list of botherso creatures to that terrible dog, Li Xin. What kind of taste, giving him a pink bell? It’s embarrassing.

Lin Fei took Xueyin onto the carriage, leaving only Li Xin and Justin in the room. Li Xin waved at the mirror. Aunt Fei always said he was handso, so he must be really handso. Actually, he wasn’t so averse to going to the Canon Law School. He’d been a bit irritable these days. Whether solving cases or doing tasks, he must proceed slowly and thodically and have the power of speech and decision-making; otherwise, he couldn’t really accomplish anything. From this perspective, his easygoing aunt’s thoughts seed more mature.

Li Xin turned around to see Justin. At this mont, Justin was crouching forward with his front paws on the ground, his hind legs arched, and his backside swaying continuously. His eyes were sharp, and the pink bell on his neck contrasted conspicuously with his black fur.

"If there’s an ergency, shake the bell and release your spiritual ability, and I’ll receive it. If I need you, I’ll call you the sa way. You must find as quickly as possible," Li Xin said as he crouched down and patted Justin’s head.

"Haha, good cat." Li Xin stood up, took the file and introduction letter from Kathy, and went out.

Justin watched the door close, then angrily slapped a paw on himself. He’d let him off today but would definitely show him Justin’s might sooner or later.

The stately Divine Moon Cathedral stood firm in the Li Long United Kingdom. Since the Moon God’s Court had been continuously perfecting the Great Cathedral, it would be worthy of the Main God’s authority.

Sunlight shone through the ticulously crafted stained-glass windows and poured into the cathedral, creating pools of liquid gemstone-like athyst light on the floor. The shimring light across the nave made the Church’s splendor even more magnificent. Every inch bore intricate carvings, mostly made of gold, inlaid with colorful gemstones, a blend of human art and luxury.

Kathy wore a refined white robe of a Church Court secretary, with her favorite black boots, the tap, tap, tap sound uniquely resonating in the cathedral. She attracted a lot of criticism when she first dressed this way at the Church Court. Now it had beco her signature. She was the only clergy in the Moon God’s Court who dared to dress like that, quite a legendary figure.

Even though Celestial Capital was the second-largest city in the Li Long United Kingdom, it still seed rural to people from Dragon Capital, at most a slightly affluent countryside. Kathy was a Night Patrol team leader who ca to the capital to study and sohow gained the recognition of the newly appointed chief, Archbishop Li Xiuwen, getting an internship opportunity at the Cardinal Hall. Such opportunities weren’t rare; most simply polished their resus, t so people, and returned to wherever they ca from. But this one was remarkable, advancing to beco a Judgent Angel during the internship, which was seen as a blessing from the Moon God, smoothly becoming a secretary, logically speaking. However, being chosen as one of the three chief secretaries to assist the chief’s daily work created quite a bit of jealousy.

And it wasn’t just that. The secretary position was significant, but it was still auxiliary. Even veteran secretaries were cautious because their power mainly ca from the Red-robed Archbishop. However, Kathy stood out. Others would keep a low profile, despite advancing to Angel; such a flimsy foundation of an Angel would generally strengthen their soul through cultivation. But Kathy completely imrsed herself in her work, efficiently addressing various accumulated issues in the Cardinal Hall, stirring up quite a storm. So issues piled up because they weren’t ant to be solved, or had other motives.

She seed harmless, but in reality, she had a forceful approach to handling matters, making many enemies, while also gaining considerable support.

At that mont, two middle-aged n in gold-lined clerical robes were already chatting and waiting at the Cardinal Hall’s entrance. Upon hearing the asured tap, tap, tap, they imdiately stood up.

"Everyone says Lady Kathy is diligent, and the rumors are true," said the tall middle-aged man, smiling benevolently and nobly.

"Court Master Marshal, you arrived earlier than ," Kathy smiled, "Court Master Bai, I’ve already requested permission from the boss for your request. The boss has nodded, but it still needs to be presented at the eting for approval. You’ll have to wait a bit longer."

The slightly shorter, stern-looking middle-aged man forced a stiff smile, "Secretary Kathy, we owe you. Our matter was stuck for over a year without any progress. At last, we can submit a resolution, and regardless of the outco, the Execution Court won’t forget it."

Kathy waved her hand with a smile, "I don’t deserve such credit; we’re all here to serve the Church. There’s no need for formality. Once the boss learned of the situation, he imdiately agreed. I’m just passing the ssage. However, you also know the resistance is significant. Money is tight everywhere. Whether it passes the eting, I can only argue rationally."

Bai Zhongdong nodded. Their Execution Court needed funds to maintain secret items, but the money was perpetually delayed, putting them in a very awkward position. Many things were left unhandled due to this, yet avoiding action would set traps for themselves, placing them in a dilemma.

"Court Master Marshal, your issue has already passed the eting. I’ll ensure it’s promptly implented without any delays. You needn’t worry," Kathy said directly, looking at the sowhat embarrassed Court Master Marshal.

Marshal’s face showed a relieved smile. From submission, to resolution, to final implentation, any step could easily get stuck; it was the rule. It was truly only after this young secretary arrived that efficiency improved beyond compare. He had only heard about it before but now saw that it was indeed true. He was still contemplating whether he should send a gift.

"Thank you so much. Wow, I’ve worked in the Church Court for decades, and I’ve never t soone as straightforward as you."
