Mist Continent, Divpo City.

When disaster becos a habit, numbness becos the norm.

But those who glimpse hope cannot remain calm. Batty has been waiting for an opportunity, but recently a large batch of newcors arrived at the mining area, and the supervision has beco stricter, with a new set of Household Overseers being deployed, which forced them to halt their actions.

Batty had to wonder if soone was sabotaging them.

Batty had to endure, knowing that if caught, not only he but everyone involved, including his sister, would be implicated. Finding an exit is dangerous, but getting caught is even more hazardous.

Fortunately, every ti he taps the wooden fish, it calms his emotions and clears his mind. Since he knows the thod, there is no need to rush; he must find the safest mont to act.

Whether or not there is a traitor, their purpose is rely to stop him, not to expose everything. Otherwise, they would have long been captured.

Bamuta hasn’t shown much abnormality lately, but the communication between them has reduced.

The Round Table Conference returns, filling him once again with power. Light can bring infinite confidence, and he is determined to find the exit leading to the light.

"Miner Chief, Miner Chief, it’s bad! Fallen ones have appeared again in the Sau Pit," a Roto ran in, panting, and said.

Batty dashed out imdiately, not entirely because of the wooden fish. The frequency of Fallen appearing in the mine is high, under high-intensity labor and the erosion of delirium, once the body shows weakness, it easily turns into a monster without warning, as the First Gate Priest said about dirty blood and sinful spirits.

In the Sau Mine Pit, more than a dozen twisted-bodied monsters are chasing down a Roto; if caught by the Fallen, they will directly devour the Roto alive, ignoring any attacks.

Rotos are generally very strong physically, and once they fall, bodily functions greatly enhance. Among this batch is a Snake Hair creature, an Awakened one; after falling, the fighting power is even more frightening, and it was his fall that caused the infection, leading to many around falling as well.

This is called the "Infection" of the evil source, so once Snake Hair appears, whether inside or outside the city, it receives high attention and speedy encirclent and extermination, while other Rotos keep a cautious distance.

Over twenty Household Guards are besieging this Snake Hair Fallen.

A surge of spiritual ability floodingly encircles Snake Hair Fallen, one Spiritual Energy Aggregation Beam after another bombard continuously; Snake Hair Fallen keeps dodging agilely, its body emitting purple spiritual ability. Clearly, it hasn’t undergone combat training, relying entirely on combat instincts to evade.

The Household Guards have strong combat power. Many are selected from excellent Lightkeepers; while attacking, they also prevent Snake Hair Fallen from escaping. Soon, the ordinary Fallen around are cleared, but Snake Hair Fallen attempts to break out, yet has no chance.

Batty arrived at the scene, and his first reaction was to imdiately join the battlefield to kill Snake Hair Fallen. It was also his first ti seeing Snake Hair Fallen, its head full of thin, long at worms resembling venomous snakes. In legend, this is a kind of evil creature called a venomous snake, a symbol of greater evil; ordinary Fallen lack reason, but this Snake Hair Fallen not only possesses intelligence but is extraordinarily cunning and capable of bewitching people’s hearts.

The squad evidently has patience, rigorously trained to handle these Snake Hair creatures. Among them, three are burning with gray-white light, which stops the creature, while soldiers attack using aggregation beams and weapons, avoiding direct contact.

Snake Hair Fallen’s blood carries a highly infectious effect, and must not be touched.

Snake Hair Fallen, seeing more people gathering around, becos more agitated, abruptly noticing Batty amongst the crowd. Its eyes suddenly burst with strong light, all its snake hairs stand, purple spiritual ability explodes instantly, accompanied by a loud roar, and with a thud, the ground bursts, propelling itself towards Batty across tens of ters.

Batty coldly stared at Snake Hair Fallen, their eyes t, and Batty suddenly had a pitch-black long saber in his hand, showing no fear, he slashed.

The resonant sound...

Spiritual ability swept across Snake Hair Fallen’s body mid-air, splitting its previously untouchable body (even by twenty soldiers’ ans) into two, dropping onto the ground.

Purple blood splattered, surrounding Rotos scattered in terror, afraid of contamination. Once contaminated, regardless of mutation, they would be directly dealt with.

Soldiers imdiately segnted the site, clearing it with Spiritual Energy Aggregation Beams, and Snake Hair Fallen’s corpse was directly disposed of onsite, eventually set afla with black oil to burn cleanly.

A robust Household Guard approached Batty, the squad’s captain, "You are the Miner Chief here, Batty, right?"

"Milord, I am Batty," Batty nodded and said.

"I am Rahul, the newly appointed head of the mine’s guards, managing everything here." Rahul looked at the tall and stout Roto before him without hiding his disgust, waving his hand, "Step back, don’t co so close to ."

Batty stared at Rahul, not moving. Suddenly, a crack resonated, a whip lashed onto Batty’s body, followed by two Household Guards rushing in to beat Batty with fists and kicks.

Batty clenched his fists tightly, enduring the kicks and punches from the two Household Guards. At this mont, Bamuta rushed over in a hurry, bowing profusely before Rahul, "Milord, Milord, this child is ignorant, please don’t take offense, the higher-ups have another task assigned for him."

Rahul glanced at Bamuta, evidently recognized, although the other is a Household Guard, not all Household Guards are the sa; as the squad leader, he holds the best position among Household Guards, trusted by the higher-ups. Young Rotos with thorns are many, not the first nor the last, no wonder the higher-ups sent him; it’s needed to give them proper discipline.

"Hang him up, without my orders don’t let him down or give him anything to eat!" Rahul said flatly, "Where’s his weapon, who let him have it!"

The previously seen treasure saber disappeared again, no idea where this Roto hid it.

"Ah, Milord let’s speak a step further," Bamuta whispered, seeing no reaction, hurried to approach, "It’s from the esteed Lord of the First Gate above, it’s a secret."

Whack~~~

Bamuta received a slap, spinning his frail body a full 360 degrees, his dark face imdiately swelling, "Don’t use higher-ups to pressure , such things are not worthy to see esteed lords; Bamuta, not following the mine rules, confinent for three days."

Under Rahul’s orders, Batty was imdiately suspended on the Roto’s Yin Wood fra, used specifically for punishnt, hands tied hanging in the air, while Bamuta was imprisoned in a small wooden cage; the tight cage could only curl up, fit for Bamuta’s small stature, but brutal for the general tall Roto, for when placed inside, must be fully inserted, what’s not fitting is cut away.

All around, Rotos stared fixedly at this scene. Rahul roared, swinging his whip, along with other Household Guards whipping together. No wonder the higher-ups sent him to manage; these Rotos are utterly sinful, daring to look directly at him.

The whip finally dispersed the crowd that dared not resist, watching the Rotos scattered, a great joy rose in Rahul’s heart, "Let other tent leaders co to see later."

"Yes, Milord, this hellish place isn’t fit for humans!"

His subordinate said, initially unhappy coming here; the city offers more benefits, this place is poor in environnt, teeming with worthless Rotos.

"Hmph, who says there are none, make them increase production, besides submissions, the rest is ours." Rahul sneered, "If worse cos to worst, we can still select so robust ones to sell."

In Divpo City, Rotos are low-grade goods, above Household Guards, they are slaves, consuming little but working a lot, freely driven, considered consumables, damage leads to trading.

"Milord is wise, but Bamuta manages the mine’s accounts, didn’t you just penalize him?"

"If not reprimanded first, how would he obey? This guy has so connections above, must make him sensible, I’m the biggest here," Rahul said.

"Understood, Milord."

His subordinate left with a sly smile, dealing with an almost dead old Household, they have ways, albeit the old Household has so connections, he’s no different from Rotos.
