In the dead of night, Li Xin lay on his bed, looking out the window, pondering the next move. It was obvious that Montreal was just a lackey, a white glove, and the real master behind it was Zhao Xun. This was not a lucky guess; even Lao Luo, and perhaps the Chief Bishop, had Zhao Xun as their target.
Lao Luo had a sense of justice, but since Li Xin hadn’t t the Chief Bishop, it wasn’t easy to judge. Aside from justice and responsibility, the conflict between the Chief Bishop and Zhao Xun stemd from their positions, which sotis were more reliable than a sense of justice.
This ti, the Chief Bishop severed one of Zhao Xun’s hands and struck him twice. If Zhao Xun didn’t retaliate, his lackeys would probably feel endangered. The matter wouldn’t end so simply. There was a Zhao Qing by his side, which could be a good breakthrough point, but he had no leads until the opponent made a move.
Zhao Xun would either not act at all, or when he did, it would be sothing significant. The opportunities to use the power of dice would certainly be nurous. The Moon God dal was quickly becoming just a dal, which was no good. This week’s trip to the Holy Land was a must.
Today, Miss Aries was a great help. The basic principle of being human is reciprocity. What gift would be appropriate to give her? Sothing valuable? That doesn’t seem aningful; it has to be sothing special, sothing she likes.
Musical instrunts seem to be a good choice. In fact, there is an instrunt Li Xin knows how to make, and he even knows where to find the materials.
Thinking of this, Li Xin wanted to first try the thod Miss Aries used to enter the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc. He had visited the Star Disc several tis, and he had a location. According to Miss Aries, his Divine Relic was a coordinate, a way back, while the Star Disc was a coordinate, a destination. The danger Mr. Cancer ntioned was that moving the soul in this way carries certain risks.
Li Xin’s spirit sank into the dice, and countless thoughts expanded. Before long, he sensed a distant point of light. Although the perception wasn’t very clear, the awareness in his mind knew that it was the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc.
Miss Aries said that eventually, you would find it. The danger Mr. Cancer spoke of ant a soul could get lost. Li Xin decided to try it himself anyway.
The summoning in his dream implied so connection between the dice and the Star Disc. He simply followed instinctively. Such a situation indeed required extra caution—an intentional search for the path.
With the coordinate of the target clear, Li Xin did not deviate from his course. His consciousness had no interference or distraction, moving very focused and accurately towards the Star Disc. It started a little slow, but then his speed increased rapidly, quickly entering a state reminiscent of a dream, like the visual impact of faster-than-light travel in a sci-fi movie. The next second, Li Xin was already within the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc.
Unlike before, under the vast do, he was alone this ti. After adapting to the rhythm of his body and looking at his hands, Li Xin felt sowhat clearer. However, when he looked at the idol on the table, it was still blurry. The booklet in the god’s hand remained the sa, displaying incomprehensible text.
Though he couldn’t read it, the text still felt familiar. He didn’t know if the Dao Yuan Continent had this kind of writing, but it surely existed on Earth. Unfortunately, who on earth understands many foreign languages? The script was curly, much like Latin.
Without the attention of others, Li Xin found it convenient to further observe the Star Disc. Surrounding the Star Disc was still void, without significant changes, and it was impossible to sense whether it was moving or floating. Li Xin’s attention shifted to the twelve constellations on the arch. The constellations for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer, which had been summoned, appeared slightly bright, while the remaining eight constellations were dim. Li Xin tried to make contact with his consciousness, but there was no perception, as if nothing existed. Apparently, they were not sothing he could summon.
Then, according to Miss Aries, Li Xin began to contact Aries, Taurus, and Cancer in sequence. The feeling this ti was entirely different, like touching water, with a tactile sense that had a slight rebound. After trying it a few tis and waiting for a while, there was no response from anyone.
The Twelve Zodiac Star Disc was lifeless with only him, not a sound to be heard. Since the chairs and table here couldn’t be taken ho, Li Xin was about ready to leave. Just then, a spark from the do indicated the star representing Aries began to flash, and before long, there was an additional person on the chair representing Aries.
Estella, her eyes filled with surprise, looked at herself, then around, and saw Mr. Gemini. She was waiting for Chris to return, felt a touch of excitent that made it hard to sleep, then felt a "knock knock knock" sound of impact, and the Divine Relic seed to be summoned by sothing. She was initially puzzled, but then rembered Mr. Gemini’s attempt and responded, leading her to the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc.
"Mr. Gemini, nice to see you." Estella stood up and bowed.
Li Xin quickly stood up to return the greeting, "Miss Aries, I hope I’m not interrupting you."
Estella looked at the do, "Mr. Gemini, you’ve already managed this?"
"Yes, following the experience you provided last ti, I attempted to enter the Star Disc while conscious and luckily succeeded. Then I touched the stars, and you appeared."
Estella smiled sweetly, "I, too, responded based on the experience Mr. Gemini provided. It seems the Twelve Zodiac Star Disc can indeed be entered while awake, giving us further understanding."
Last ti, Li Xin responded in his dreams, while this ti, Estella did so in her waking state. The power of the Star Disc was even greater than imagined. Sleeping or being awake suggested that so rules of the Star Disc were controllable, a significant step forward.
"Miss Aries, thank you very much for your help. Chris completed the mission perfectly, playing a crucial role." Li Xin stood up to say thanks. This matter truly couldn’t be explained in just a few sentences.
Estella smiled happily, "I’m glad I could help you, Mr. Gemini. It’s been a wonderful experience."
"I don’t know how to express my gratitude. Miss Aries is interested in musical instrunts. I have experience in crafting one kind of instrunt, and I’d like to offer it as a token of thanks. Would Miss Aries be willing to accept it?" Whether or not Miss Aries accepted, he needed to express his sincerity and gratitude.
"I can ask Chris to visit again." Estella was pleased, as she indeed had a fondness for musical instrunts and was looking forward to a gift crafted by Mr. Gemini himself.
"Alright, I’ll contact you once it’s made." Seeing Miss Aries agree relieved Li Xin.
"By the way, Mr. Gemini, I looked into the records and consulted with my ntor on whether Divine Relics have any abilities before the Life Star is awakened. Under normal circumstances, they do not. Active or passive understanding of the Divine Relic is necessary. Only mastered power is power. Any other feelings may be illusions, often presaging a tendency toward downfall." Estella stated.
Li Xin nodded, "Thank you, Miss Aries, for clarifying. The difficult issues are sowhat resolved now. I will try visiting the Holy Land this weekend. Do you have any suggestions?"
Estella thought for a mont, "I’ve been contemplating my own problems lately. Perhaps Mr. Cancer is right; so things I perceive are idealized. My understanding of the Divine Relics and the Holy Land may not apply to others. From a safety perspective, it is best to be led by elders or ntors from one’s family or Church."
Previously, Estella thought Divine Relics and the Holy Land were wonderful, although Mr. Cancer had differing opinions, without firsthand experiences, she couldn’t agree. In the second Holy Land visit, she accidentally overheard so "truths" from Achilles. It was just a little, but the existence of the Round Table Conference made her realize she might only be privy to the knowledge the royalty wanted her to access. Divine Relics might bring blessings, but more often, they were accompanied by disasters. Currently, she felt sowhat confused.
"Does Miss Aries have so difficult issue?" Li Xin asked.
Without a ntor, it seed he would have to rely on himself to explore, as for the precursor to downfall, he didn’t really think so.
"What if those around you only let you know what they want you to know?" Estella asked. Her elder brother wouldn’t tell her more, and only in tis of emotional excitation would her second brother blurt out sothing, but then quickly beca alert. She felt like sothing was being hidden from her.
Li Xin thought for a mont, then suddenly smiled, "Do you think they would harm you?"
"Not at all," Estella replied. Precisely because of this, she didn’t want to put her companions in a difficult position. "But this feeling is extrely contradictory and quite troubling."
"I understand, there’s a kind of kindness called an elder’s benevolence," Li Xin said, "In my hotown, there is a saying: ’Life is precious, love is more precious; if it is for freedom, both can be forsaken.’ This involves deciding for yourself what life’s aning is. If it truly troubles you, you can try to communicate and sincerely convey your thoughts to your family. Of course, ideally, pick soone who communicates well."
Miss Aries was stunned, her eyes twinkling with light. In the past, she always used to wheedle and threaten, thinking that rules were rules. Why not just have a good talk?
She wasn’t afraid of taking responsibility; she just wanted to clearly and genuinely bear it.
"Thank you, Mr. Gemini," Estella stood up and bowed in gratitude. The shackles in her heart seed to have been unlocked. Regardless of success or failure, this was a correct thod for solving problems.
"Miss Aries, it is I who should thank you." Li Xin quickly returned the gesture, and both suddenly paused, then couldn’t help but laugh.
"I feel like we’re friends now, no need for this formality, my back isn’t great." Li Xin chuckled.
"I think so too." Estella laughed heartily, no longer restraining herself, allowing her laughter to be genuine, flashing a few sincere teeth.
