Rather than a landscape of orange-yellow molten magma, there was a vast expanse of hard black rock, with so damaged and collapsed stone pillars.
Indeed, there was magma within the cracks between them.
But the focus lay elsewhere.
The most eye-catching thing was undoubtedly the towering figure woven from black and crimson, standing beside the wall.
This human-like creature lacked any flesh on its head, with two pitch-black, nacing serpent heads on its shoulders, donned in ragged black armor.
An ancient, worn sword was deeply embedded in its chest, from where a liquid flowed, whether magma or blood was uncertain.
Thick black chains restrained it from all sides, binding it in place.
