One class, thirty Gold Coins?!

Colin was stunned when he heard the number.

That was about how much he got paid for the last trip to Pig Badger Village to deal with those Cultists.

"As for the specifics, if you agree, you can go over the day after tomorrow to get the details and prepare the course. The classes will probably start about a week after that," Edwin said.

Hearing this, Colin relaxed.

’If I can ask soone about it, then it shouldn’t be a big deal.’

’Thirty Gold Coins for one afternoon of work... that’s an insane amount.’

Colin thought that the pay was probably comparable to a temporary instructor at a top university in his previous life. Besides, it didn’t seem like a long-term gig. Since Kase was away for the next few days anyway, it was a good chance to earn so extra cash.

"Well, that sounds fine."

Edwin nodded. "Then it’s settled. Just head over around nine in the morning the day after tomorrow. There’s a clock tower in the square, so you can check the ti."

"I understand," Colin said.

"Next, about Orelia."

"?" the Tiefling asked, pointing to her own small face.

"That’s right."

"I’ve already instructed the sister-dean at the Divine Hall to help train you in Divine Arts. They should be contacting you soon."

Edwin said, "Also, the main cathedral in the Holy City wants the Cultivators who were sent to support Thousand Masts City to hold a mission debriefing. You’ll probably need to go back for that. It would be best to have Colin and Kase write up their performance evaluations for you in the next few days."

"I-I’ll do my best," Orelia said, nervously clenching her fists.

Colin thought to himself, ’Right, the Tiefling ntioned this before. I almost forgot.’

After they finished their discussion, the two left the office and headed for the Church of Morninglord.

As they walked down the slope from the main road below Horn Castle, Orelia asked, "Mr. Colin, can I rest for a few days before I go train with Mr. Donkexes?"

"Do you even need to ask that?" Colin replied with a smile.

"Because you’re the smart one, Mr. Colin," Orelia continued. "And about the evaluation, let’s wait a few days until Mr. Kase gets back, and... no, *we* can all discuss it together then."

"Sure, we can have a proper chat about it then."

If Orelia had to go back, the team would be without a Priest.

Honestly, once you’ve experienced Healing Magic when you’re injured, it’s hard to go back to waiting for wounds to heal on their own.

Colin silently calculated. ’Maybe the whole party could just make a trip to the Holy City. We could earn so money along the way. It wouldn’t be the first ti we’ve gone there, anyway.’

Orelia looked down at the city below and sighed. "I can’t believe this journey is already over."

"Yeah. Which is why I think you could be a little happier right now."

"I thought I would be happy, too, but since coming back I feel a little... dizzy," Orelia said. "After all, out there we faced new things every day and saw different things. It felt so much more interesting than staying in the Church."

Colin deeply sympathized with that feeling.

He said, "The fact that you might die is a bit of a problem, though."

"Yeah, the fact that you might die is a bit of a problem," Orelia said with a laugh.

After reaching the Church, Colin grabbed his things and said goodbye to the Tiefling.

As usual, he bought so cheese and bread on his way ho for a simple dinner. Afterwards, he returned to his apartnt, drew a hot bath, and enjoyed a long, warm soak.

Finally, he placed the Ancestor Stone from the Orc child in a wall niche, alongside the other trinkets he’d collected from his adventures.

By the ti he had unhurriedly taken care of everything, the sky outside the window had slowly turned dark.

Colin unrolled the bedding he had bundled up before he left.

He lay on the bed, let out a sigh of relief, and lost consciousness the mont he closed his eyes.

-----------------

The next morning, Colin woke up naturally and went to the washroom to freshen up.

His working man’s internal clock was still active, so he wasn’t worried about oversleeping.

Halfway through brushing his teeth, a THUMP, THUMP, THUMP echoed from downstairs, as if soone were banging on the floor.

’A new tenant?’

Colin thought, ’Co to think of it, the unit below has always been empty. The other tenants are all on different floors.’

But it was none of his business anyway.

The weather was exceptionally nice today.

Sunlight pierced through the clouds, and outside the window, the scattered rooftops were all covered in white snow, glistening under the sun’s rays.

After freshening up, Colin opened the window to let the sunlight in, moved a few chairs over, and spread his blanket and sheets over them to air out in the sun.

He stuffed his unused paper and pens into his [Dinsion Bag], then tossed in the loot he planned to deal with today. After putting the bag into his backpack, he was ready to go.

He had to admit, these Spatial Storage Magic Items were really convenient.

He had heard that there were even more exquisitely crafted storage backpacks in this world. It would be a worthwhile purchase once he had the money.

With that thought in mind, Colin shouldered his pack, pushed open the door, and set off.

Walking down the stairs, he reached the second floor. Just as he’d suspected, the door to the apartnt below his was open, and the sounds of soone tidying up drifted out from within.

’So there really is a new tenant. I wonder what kind of person they are.’

Colin continued down the stairs, lost in thought.

But just as he reached the doorway, a familiar, indifferent voice sounded in his ear.

"Colin? What are you doing here?"

He turned to see the Half-Elf he had just parted with at the harbor yesterday, holding onto the doorfra with a blank expression.

She was wearing a li-green woolen dress and a short corduroy jacket.

The dress was decorated with golden, grass-patterned embroidery. It wasn’t particularly thin, and the jacket’s cuffs and collar were adorned with fur trim. Peeking out from under the hem of her dress was a pair of fur-lined leather boots.

Although her attire gave off a serene and gentle feeling, its owner’s expressionless face created a sowhat jarring contrast.

"Er... probably because I live upstairs," Colin said.

"I just found this great place yesterday. The rent is cheap, and the room is nice. I plan on staying here for a while, after all," Ale said. "Are you on your way to deal with your loot? Can I co with you?"

Colin was taken aback by her sudden invitation.

’There would be advantages to bringing her along. It might keep from getting ripped off.’

Ever since he’d almost sold his Gemstones for a low price in Rommon, Colin felt he needed to be more careful.

Besides, Colin thought it would be a good thing to have another trustworthy companion in the party.

However, because Ale’s intentions were a bit vague, he didn’t feel it was right to directly ask her to join... ’It would probably be a better idea to discuss it with Kase and the others first, then ask her together.’

Colin then said, "Together? Sure, why not. Let’s go together."

Ale turned, locked her door, and then stood behind Colin, looking ready to leave.

Although it felt strange, Colin led her out of the building.
