"If we continue fighting him, we'll die!" The Golden Giant looked pleadingly at Misai, now only he might spare his life.
Misai was also in agony. He certainly hoped the Seven wouldn't perish; if they were killed by Zhang nglong, he would lose a critical part of his team and later be unable to stand tall in front of Latour.
But if he spoke up to plead for them now, he'd be lowering his stance even further, having just promised that they wouldn't interfere in the sparring matches among subordinates.
If he spoke now, wouldn't he be going back on his word? Everyone would know he, Misai, couldn't accept defeat.
"It seems your boss isn't very keen on saving you!" Zhang nglong had no intention of letting the Seven go just like that; he needed to establish so authority since he'd just arrived at the Sun Palace.
This was the best way to let everyone know he wasn't to be ssed with; otherwise, everyone would see him as a weak newbie without even half a perfect form and would try to trample over him.
Though he wasn't afraid of provocation, he disliked trouble. Wouldn't it be better to spend ti putting on airs and earning cred points than dealing with those people?
"Bang!" The Golden Giant's head was shattered once again by a massive slap, leaving him with no dignity in front of Zhang nglong. All he desired now was to survive.
They entered the Main World, initially thinking they could achieve great things and create legends as they did in their own world, but who expected they would beco nothing from the start? Could there be anything more tragic?
Gradually, their recovery speed slowed, from instant recovery to taking one or two seconds, then increasing to three or five seconds. At this rate, their recovery ability would weaken until death.
Yet even now, Misai had no intention of pleading for them; it seed he'd abandoned them for the sake of face.
Seeing this, Katur couldn't help but feel a little sympathetic. He cherished talent imnsely; within his subordinates, outstanding talents were entrusted with significant responsibilities, and he never flaunted his seniority but rather treated them as brothers.
Hence, Katur's subordinates respected him greatly.
"Mr. Zhang, perhaps we should let it go." Katur spoke up, "These people have struggled to get here, and no matter what, they're part of our Sun Palace's strength. Let's spare their lives!"
"Alright!" Zhang nglong wasn't fixated, "Since Lord Katur is pleading for you, I'll spare your lives."
Zhang nglong ceased his attack and returned to Katur's side.
"I admit, I spoke too loudly earlier."
"With such a newcor under Lord Katur, Lord Aukai will surely regard him even more highly."
"Newcor? He's even more formidable than the veterans! I dare say, even among the Level Two perfect life forms in our Sun Palace, few could surpass him."
"Indeed, didn't you see how effortlessly he fought earlier? Only Level Three perfect life forms might challenge him."
"In the future, who would dare provoke Lord Katur? Today, Lord Misai has truly lost face."
"Yes, not only lost the match, but perhaps even the loyalty of his subordinates. Who would dare risk their lives for him now?"
"Look, what's the Seven doing now!"
At this mont, the Seven who had just combined returned to their original state, looking extrely weak. Their bodies being shattered thousands of tis felt little different from suffering a severe injury.
But now, they were about to do sothing significant.
They walked before Katur and knelt on one knee.
"What are you doing?" Misai was outraged; his n were kneeling to his adversary. Were they rebelling?
"Lord Katur, we seven wish to join your command. If you don't bla us for earlier offenses, please accept us; we will follow your orders faithfully!" the Seven spoke in unison.
Katur was also a bit surprised; he rely cherished talent earlier and couldn't bear them, with such potential and talent, being beaten to death by Zhang nglong, unexpectedly gaining their favor.
"What are you doing? Are you betraying ?" Misai couldn't fathom their decisiveness, "Have you forgotten the gifts I gave you?"
The group glanced at Misai, then took out a few items they'd received upon joining his regint. Apart from the shield that was already shattered, all items were there.
"We've already dealt with many of your adversaries, so we don't owe you much." The group spoke coldly.
"Do you truly wish to join ?" Katur confird once more.
"Yes, Lord," they replied earnestly, "You are the one qualified for our allegiance!"
"Hmm, good, good," Zhang nglong nodded approvingly, "Lord Misai, this is their decision. Our Sun Palace shouldn't force anyone, right?"
Misai was certainly unwilling to relinquish the Seven, but in the Sun Palace, as long as officials or upper managent of various regints issue invitations, personnel transfers are possible, within certain limits, even Misai couldn't interfere.
"Leaving , the resources Katur can offer you are far less than I can. Are you sure you want to betray ?" Misai questioned.
Katur appeared slightly embarrassed because the things Misai bestowed upon them, Katur indeed couldn't match. However, at this mont, if he didn't express sothing, it would appear ungenerous.
"Lord Katur offers these as gifts," Zhang nglong handed several weapons and elixirs to them with his left hand.
"This..." The Seven, Misai, and Katur stared wide-eyed at those items.
Katur had personally experienced those elixirs earlier; they could almost revive soone on their last breath, but for Zhang nglong, they seed trivial.
Yet those weapons were formidable; each emitted a powerful aura, even not inferior to the weapons used by Katur and Misai themselves.
In the Sun Palace, though there were master Artifact Refiners, the allocation of such resources was extrely harsh. Not only was strength required, but copious accolades were needed to acquire weapons of such caliber.
Was such precious stuff casually given away?
"Thank you, Lord Katur!" The Seven's faces lit up with joy; Katur indeed cherished and appreciated talent!
"Mr. Zhang, this..."
"I'm an Artifact Refiner too," Zhang nglong said, "These are rely defective items I crafted recently when I was bored. I have as many as I want."
"Defective items?" Katur's eyes widened; if defective items were of such quality, then wouldn't the premium items be extraordinary?
Possessing such formidable combat power and simultaneously being both an Alchemist and an Artifact Refiner, even a master of ti managent couldn't manage so much ti and energy. Just what kind of monster is he?
