"Weren't you quite arrogant just now? Didn't you want to steal my weapon?" Zhang nglong casually conjured a ball of strange fire, scaring the soul body into frantically retreating, revealing its true form.
It was a hunched, tiny old man, looking sowhat sleazy. He stared in horror at the fla in Zhang nglong's hand. As Zhang nglong's power grew stronger, so too did the might of his strange fire.
"Let's start with a two-minute self-introduction," Zhang nglong said in a threatening tone. "I give you only one chance; if I hear sothing that interests , I'll spare your life. But if there's nothing compelling, I'll burn you up."
As he spoke, Zhang nglong withdrew the Donghuang Clock, shrinking it to the size of a palm, trapping the soul body, which also shrank to a palm-sized tiny figure.
With Zhang nglong bringing the strange fire closer to the Donghuang Clock, the temperature inside instantly rose.
"I-I... I'm called Satan, in your words, I'm from the Cang Yuan Era. I've lived longer than most people in this world, and I know many things and secrets that you don't. If you spare my life, I can offer you many benefits!"
The soul body, scared out of its wits, imdiately began to demonstrate its value.
"What does 'Cang Yuan Era' an?" Zhang nglong didn't understand the term.
"Our main world experienced a ti gap," the owner of the Sun Palace, Yao Ge, approached Zhang nglong. "Before this gap era, it was called the Cang Yuan Era, which was over 4.2 billion years ago."
"That long ago?"
"That's right. Information about the Cang Yuan Era is extrely scarce, almost worn away by the wheels of ti. From the fragnts of information remaining, that era seems almost mythological."
Yao Ge gazed longingly, "In that era, beings in the main world were born as perfect creatures and had no growth limits. Unlike now, where everyone's future developnt is predetermined unless they have extraordinary opportunities. Otherwise, one's life achievents can be foreseen at a glance."
"What happened in between?" Zhang nglong asked.
"I don't know, nor is there any complete information left," Yao Ge replied. "In theory, billions of years could indeed erase many things, but not entirely. I suspect the gap of that era was man-made. As for the specifics, he might know sothing."
"Do you know?" Zhang nglong glanced at the remnant soul.
"I know a bit."
"Oh, then you're useless," Zhang nglong said as he began to ignite the fire.
"Wait!" the remnant soul shrieked. "Even though I don't know, many of the artifacts left behind can only be understood by soone from the Cang Yuan Era like . Perhaps I can deduce so things from them."
"That's actually true," Zhang nglong remarked. "There are still many Cang Yuan Era relics in the main world. Though most are eroded, bits of information remain, but no one can understand it."
"Sounds like you have so use left." Zhang nglong temporarily put away the Donghuang Clock. "I might get you a body, and we can go explore together, see what secrets there are."
Though Zhang nglong had already activated his mainline quest, there were still many tasks awaiting him. He hadn't forgotten the primary purpose of his visit to the main world this ti.
"Are you all alright?" Zhang nglong asked, seeing they were not lightly injured, especially Okai, who was barely breathing after enduring the force. "Take this."
Zhang nglong took out a bottle of elixirs.
Yao Ge hesitated slightly, but the aroma of the elixirs was irresistible. Glancing at Katur, who nodded at him, he swallowed a pill.
As the elixir took effect, a gleam appeared in his eyes. This was nothing short of divine!
"Thank you for helping my Sun Palace avert a disaster," Yao Ge expressed gratitude to Zhang nglong.
Though Zhang nglong appeared outwardly simple, his ability to subdue a Cang Yuan Era old monster effortlessly, and his endless array of divine artifacts, warranted Yao Ge's respect.
"No need to be so formal," Zhang nglong replied. "I was planning to discuss a collaboration with you. Should our cooperation succeed, I'll need your assistance."
"I just heard from Katur that you're planning to help us defeat the Golden God Seat?" Yao Ge tentatively asked.
"Yes." Zhang nglong confird, "You should also know, I co from a subordinate world under the Golden God Seat's supervision. Our world's developnt is sowhat beyond their control. I'm worried they might cleanse us, so I thought, why not just get rid of them."
Yao Ge's mouth twitched.
How casually Zhang nglong spoke, as if about simply eliminating them!
For the Sun Palace, while managing those testing grounds, they couldn't allow any lifeforms exceeding their governance capabilities to arise. If such erged, they were eliminated first, lest soone like Zhang nglong popped up, wanting to take down the Golden God Seat.
This made Yao Ge grateful that Zhang nglong's world wasn't under the Sun Palace's jurisdiction, or they'd be the unlucky ones now.
However, just right, the enemy's enemy is a friend. For them, this was manna from heaven.
Zhang nglong had effortlessly subdued a Cang Yuan Era old monster. Though the power he displayed differed slightly from a true Level Five perfect being, the gap was negligible, showing that Zhang nglong was qualified to contend with them.
"Let outline my battle plan first," Zhang nglong said. "We take out their leader first, then you can charge."
"Yes, yes, and then? How do we take them out?" Yao Ge asked.
"I've finished," Zhang nglong replied.
"What? Finished? That's your battle plan?" Yao Ge had thought Zhang nglong had a plan, but this sounded like nonsense. If they could take out their leader, they'd have done it long ago.
"Of course, before that, I need a breakthrough," Zhang nglong said. "Do you have a place rich in energy here?"
Zhang nglong's life level was without barriers, only requiring devouring massive energy.
"Yes," Yao Ge replied. "Our Sun Palace has a place called the Sun Temple. It's where our founder's Needle Technique is located, absorbing energy from countless stars, definitely enough for your breakthrough to perfection."
"Take there!" Zhang nglong casually handed Yao Ge a cultivation technique book. "Consider it a purchase for your energy!"
"Mr. Zhang, you've saved our Sun Palace, these things aren't necessary," Yao Ge leafed through the cultivation technique. "Moreover, the Sun Temple's energy is virtually endless, you..."
Suddenly, Yao Ge's gaze froze. He'd casually browsed through the cultivation technique, yet couldn't fathom its depth! Its complexity made his previous techniques feel like elentary school books!
