In general, people with skills like these often have quite a temper.
He put himself in the magician's shoes, thinking if he were in the magician's place and soone in front of him was flaunting their family's power and wealth like a clown showing off, he'd surely be rather displeased.
Yet, contrasting with Zhang nglong, not only did he display no negative emotions, he even proactively answered his questions. This clearly showed he was a very easy-going person!
He had just declined the invitation from the President of the Magicians' Association, so why not try inviting him to his ho?
If he could get acquainted with such a character, regardless of the resources and status his family might gain, at the very least, his own position within the family would skyrocket.
But who knows if Zhang nglong is genuinely as good-tempered as he seems.
"No matter!" He simply gathered his courage; at worst, he'd just be declined. After all, his reputation was already more tarnished today. What's the harm in getting rejected again? It's not like this minor issue would get him killed, right? The Magicians' Association wouldn't allow anyone to kill in their hall.
"Brother, I was rude earlier. My na is Raditz, and I'm from the Hertz Family in the Capital City of the Mosla Empire." Raditz, lowering his deanor, showed he was genuinely adaptable.
"No harm done," Zhang nglong said, truly unfazed, although it made him slightly curious and admiring of the youth for having the courage to approach him, despite him rejecting the President of the Magicians' Association. "I'm Zhang."
"Brother Zhang, you seem unfamiliar, and your accent is quite odd, as if you don't know much about our Mosla Empire. You must be from elsewhere, right?"
"Oh? You figured that out?"
"Hahaha," Raditz laughed, "It's not hard. In a few years, the Land of Inheritance left by Great Magician Ainos will be at its weakest during the thunder's period, and our Mosla Empire is closest to this spot. Before this ti, many magicians from around the world co here; I assud you were one of them."
"You guessed correctly," Zhang nglong admitted without lying. "You have quite the eye."
"Hahaha, thank you for the complint. I, Raditz, don't have many skills, but I can judge people. I used to be clumsy, but I certainly won't misjudge now." Raditz was instantly excited, as knowing Zhang nglong's intentions gave him nurous cards to invite him.
"I wonder where you've been staying lately?"
"Oh, just at a nearby hotel," Zhang nglong replied.
"How can that be? For a genius like you, staying in such a hotel is truly a disservice; even the finest hotel is rely a place of service," Raditz remarked, "My ho is here in the city, and I'd like to sincerely invite you on behalf of the Hertz Family to be our guest. I wonder if Brother Zhang would honor us?"
Zhang nglong was about to refuse, but Raditz quickly added, "Our family has been in this area for as long as the Empire was established; we understand the legacy left by Great Magician Ainos better than the average person. Even the Royal Family and the Magicians' Association might not know as much as we do."
"Oh?" That was indeed an irresistible bargaining chip for Zhang nglong.
"You can stay with our family for a while, and I'll arrange the best rooms for you and your attendants, the finest food, and the most dedicated servants, ensuring you can prepare comfortably at our ho," Raditz's eyes almost glead with enthusiasm.
"This…" Zhang nglong hesitated, "Sounds quite good, but I hope you're not planning to use against a mysterious person. I despise being used as a tool."
"Rest assured, if you're unwilling, we won't force you to do anything!" Raditz exclaid excitedly, seeming hopeful that Zhang nglong would accept his invitation.
"Lead the way then!"
"Alright!"
Raditz had arrived with several attendants, and their ship was parked at the Magicians' Association's designated docking area.
The Hertz Family was located in the central area of the city, not far from the Magicians' Association. Along the way, Raditz's attendants and the family's servants observed Zhang nglong with curious eyes.
Not for anything else, but due to the golden star-adorned robe he wore. They even wondered if their master had gone mad, inviting an apparent fool as a guest.
Would any sane person wear such a brash and silly robe?
Hundreds of golden stars? Even if the President of the Magicians' Association, that Great Magician, saw such attire, they'd bow down before walking away.
On the way, Raditz introduced Zhang nglong to the customs of the Mosla Empire and briefly ntioned the legacy of Ainos.
In the Land of Inheritance, Ainos created an enclosed space using his final strength. In this space, unless one is stronger than Ainos, anyone coming here would be completely stripped of powers except for magic.
In other words, even a level nine perfect organism entering this space would be little more than a useless being apart from their basic physical qualities, ensuring that only a magician can receive the legacy.
Moreover, everyone's magic power would be suppressed to within level three perfect organisms, preventing young magicians with excellent gifts from missing out on their chance due to fate.
Apart from his final legacy, just a bit of luck and opportunity inside can yield so valuable treasures.
For instance, his ancestors once entered that Land of Inheritance. Though they didn't receive the legacy, they returned with so decent magical spells and equipnt.
Their family's most powerful advanced magic was brought back by his grandfather, and there's even a very powerful wand. This spell and wand combination makes them almost unbeatable among mages.
Hence, their family rooted itself in this expansive Royal City.
"So, what did you get from the Magicians' Association this ti?" Zhang nglong asked curiously.
"Oh, it's a high-level spell in the series of flas," Raditz openly shared, "This spell is very special, its power related to the strength of the Fire Elent. My father once got burnt by a fla-created monster during a battle, but since my father was a fire-type magician, his flas later inherited so of these traits."
"This spell was initially going to be sold at the next auction, but our family learned of it, and we made a move in secret, paying a price to buy it directly from a buyer."
"Oh, that's not bad," Zhang nglong glanced at the magic, its na being Phantom Fla Explosion Technique, considered sowhat weaker among high-level spells."
"This is for you." Zhang nglong casually tossed over a Magic Scroll.
"What's this?" Raditz curiously opened the scroll, and as soon as he did, an intense heat like burning flas seed to pulse forth from it.
"Flas of Extinction? Is this a fire-type spell?" Raditz exclaid.
"Among advanced magic, it can be considered top-tier," Zhang nglong said, a skill from the fifth advancent in the profession of Adventure Island's fla warlocks, with incredibly expansive attack range and imnse power.
"This…"
"I can't just stay at your ho for free, can I?" Zhang nglong remarked, "Consider this my fee for staying at your place."
