Now reading: Chapter 79: The Sankta Plunge Into Joy from I, Jeanne d'Arc, Walk on The World of Arknights, a Action novel by FuminaTL.

Jeanne could not for the life of her understand why things had turned out this way! Originally, she thought she only needed to cooperate with those Laterano Archbishops to complete the ceremony, but she never expected another "accident" to occur!

Looking at the words revealed upon the rock, they were none other than the words carved into the stone tablets once given by the Supre God to Moses—the Ten Commandnts once passed down by God.

But Boss, the "model" you gave seems a bit off! Back in the day, the one Senior Moses held was just a stone tablet. Why has it turned into such a massive boulder when it gets to ?

Is it possible you're worried I might destroy the tablets like Moses did, so this ti you specifically crafted an oversized set of Ten Commandnts? Just to prevent a re "Jeanne" like from trying to smash them to pieces once they appeared, just like Senior Moses did?

Aren't you overthinking it? I'm Saint Jeanne d'Arc, not Saint Martha. I'm just an ordinary Saintess; where would I get the strength to destroy such a huge rock?

As Jeanne looked up at the sky in exasperation, the Sankta—seeing such a divine miracle manifest yet again during the ceremony—hurriedly knelt to worship the wonder occurring before their eyes.

There was no room for doubt; this was absolutely because the Saintess was participating in the ceremony, and thus God had allowed the holy relic to reveal its true form.

Even though our station here isn't as grand as Laterano, we actually got to see this miraculous scene firsthand! My life has truly not been in vain!

Looking at the near-fanatical gazes of the crowd, Jeanne was now utterly speechless. In this situation, she had no idea what was actually going on. When she had moved this thing down the mountain earlier, she had checked it very carefully—there shouldn't have been anything wrong with the rock!

Jeanne looked at the Sankta below the platform and felt that if this weren't a formal ceremony, the people down there would have already begun to celebrate. For now, simply to ensure the ceremony could proceed smoothly, everyone was doing their utmost to suppress their boiling emotions.

With a smile on her face, Jeanne handed the Holy Water to the Archbishops standing nearby, who were sowhat dumbfounded. The Archbishops finally snapped out of it, hurriedly taking the Holy Water to take turns wiping the treasure engraved with the Ten Commandnts.

The soldiers lined up on both sides raised their guns, pointing the barrels toward the sky and firing five consecutive volleys. Simultaneously, the participants of the ceremony below began to recite prayers in unison, thanking God and the Saintess for the miracle they had brought.

"These are the ten commandnts God entrusted to humanity in the distant past to be observed. They contain four commandnts regarding God and six regarding oneself. Today, they should also serve to educate others..."

As she explained the origin of the Ten Commandnts to the Archbishops, she realized she didn't know if Laterano still had legends regarding them, so she shared the tales as she understood them.

The commandnts only demanded the most basic requirents of human life; an average person wouldn't violate them in a lifeti. Furthermore, the sins recorded within them were still things that required punishnt today. Moreover, in the current laws of Laterano, there were already more explicit penal standards for the various behaviors described, so there was no need to follow the content of the Ten Commandnts rigidly.

Nevertheless, it could still be called a national treasure of Laterano—indeed, its value was arguably more precious than all the treasures of Laterano combined!

The Archbishops listened intently to Jeanne's narration, doing their best to restrain their internal agitation. Though they were elderly, their hearts were pounding just as fiercely as those of the young people below...

However, since the Saintess was still here and the ceremony was ongoing, they could not lose their manners! God must be watching this ceremony right now; they couldn't lose face before the Divine...

Having finished her part, Jeanne left the scene. Next was the part where the Archbishops led the gathered Sankta in prayer, and Jeanne needed to temporarily withdraw.

The mont she left, the cheers of the crowd erupted like a boiling pot. The sudden noise startled even Jeanne, who had long since prepared herself ntally.

Jeanne returned to her tent and threw herself directly onto the bed, rolling back and forth to vent the frustration in her heart.

The things that happened today were far too stimulating for Jeanne. This was absolutely her "Boss" pulling the strings behind the scenes! Otherwise, how could her "Revelation" have malfunctioned the mont she entered the camp?

But now, Jeanne's status as the Saintess was effectively nailed down—the kind that couldn't be pried loose no matter who tried! It was useless even if Jeanne didn't admit it herself!

If Laterano didn't have the custom of placing statues in public places, statues of Jeanne would likely already be standing in the most important areas throughout Laterano. If soone here were to accuse her of being a witch and try to persecute her, there would be no need for anyone else to argue; the Laterano authorities would simply "evaporate" the accuser directly.

The ceremony and the subsequent celebrations lasted until late at night. They joyfully celebrated the arrival of the Saintess and the manifestation of the Ten Commandnts. Jeanne couldn't help but marvel at the stamina of these people—they could cause a ruckus until this hour without resting!

Jeanne recalled that today she had also been invited to take a photograph, saying that once her identity as the Saintess was made public, it would be displayed in schools and monasteries belonging to Laterano...

Jeanne imagined the scene where photos of her smiling would be placed in every monastery and school in Laterano. She truly didn't dare to imagine that picture—it was too embarrassing! Jeanne buried her head in the pillow, her legs kicking incessantly. She simply couldn't accept the idea of her expression being turned into a photo to be gazed upon by all the Sankta...

Maybe I should go find Exusiai and see if she can return to her "old trade" and go blow up every school?

In the end, Jeanne could only adopt an attitude of "I give up" to face it all. So what if my photo is hung on a wall? It's not like it's in black and white, so who cares? Sleep!

However, what she didn't know was that a certain group of people was even more excited than she was upon hearing this news: the citizens of Laterano.

Because of the return of the Saintess, November—which originally had no holidays—welcod a major break! A celebration known as the Festival of the Saintess would last for an entire week across Laterano!

And just now, the Laterano authorities officially announced that the Saintess had bestowed upon Laterano the Ten Commandnts written by God! To celebrate this exhilarating day, this festival was to be permanently established.

This ant that Jeanne would need to stay here for at least another week. No matter what, as the Saintess, she couldn't just up and leave.

Fortunately, since they were in a military station, they still needed to maintain discipline. Even celebrations wouldn't be as rowdy as today; at most, Jeanne would just need to lead everyone in prayer.

If they were inside the borders of Laterano, Jeanne suspected she would have been forced to transform into a singer and perform for everyone on the spot! At a ti like that, Jeanne would probably have the urge to kill herself.
