"Ladies and Gentlen, Welco to the Inter-School Competition. I am your lovely host, Harry, and sitting with is our knowledge bank, Mrs Know-it-all, Hermione!! I must say it’s nice to be back here once again. Last year’s competition was great, but it looks like this year’s Verdant Hollow competition is going to be even harder and tougher!! What do you think, Hermione?" A goofy-looking guy with round glasses and a scar on his forehead started.
"I must say, Harry, you are speaking facts for the first ti! I heard a lot of prodigies have erged from this year’s batch, already making waves throughout the city! Not to ntion the size of the batch. We have the largest number of Battle Masters coming out of our city this year compared to any previous year!! Not to ntion our seeded contestants!!" A ginger girl with wild hair replied.
"I almost forgot about the stars of the show!! We actually have 3 seeded contestants this year! Each one more ferocious than the other!! But to tell you the truth, I’m hoping for sothing else this year!" Harry said in a deliberate mystical tone.
"You are? What are you hoping for, Harry?" Hermione asked.
"I am actually hoping for...a dark horse!! That’s right, ladies and gentlen. What I am looking forward to the most is actually a dark horse erging amongst the students!! I am quite confident that we will see a dark horse erge this year!!" Harry proclaid with great fervour.
"Dark horse?! You are dreaming, Harry!! The last ti we saw a dark horse as champion was ten years ago!! I don’t think you’ll get to see one in this competition." Hermione refuted.
"Let’s bet on it, Harmoine!! And we’ll see if a new dark horse champion erges or not. But enough about that, let us begin the competition!! The machine has already started pulling random numbers for our first match, it’s...117 vs ....69!! We have our first contestants of the match, folks!! Please welco contestant number 117 and contestant number 69 on stage!!"
A great cheer rose from the crowd as Raiden took to the stage in the first match with Woolie. He never thought his match would be the first one. But just as well.
"Both contestants have taken to the stage!! The contestant 117 has pulled out a Big Grizzly!! That’s one of the strongest Terra Beasts on Bronze level!! And what am I seeing?! A Woolie!! Contestant Number 69 just walked up to a stage with a Woolie folks!! What an absolute madlad!! It’s like bringing a sword to a gunfight!!" Harry spoke, passionate as ever.
"Oh shut up, Harry!! Look at how handso little brother number 69 is!! I think I will personally root for him!! He may be the dark horse you might be waiting for!!" Hermione spoke with a sowhat enchanted look on her face.
Raiden, on the other hand, felt speechless. Who put this cody duo on comntary? Shaking his head, he focused on his opponent, a big brown grizzly bear. He bent down and patted Woolie’s head.
"Alright, buddy, are you ready to blow everyone away?"
"Woolie!!" ( •̀ ω •́ ) y
Woolie felt fired up. It was ready to win this!!
"Alright, both contestants, get ready!! And...start!!"
"Big Grizzly, use Stone Spikes!!" The contestant number 117 moved first, as the big bear roared and slamd down on the ground, sending a wave of upwards spikes towards Woolie and Raiden.
But to Raiden’s eyes, it looked inexplicably slow.
’This is the level of Competition?’ He thought speechlessly.
"I can’t watch it. Take care of it, Woolie." Raiden just turned away and waved his hands at Woolie, who also felt disappointed. The big bear at ho was much stronger than this. Atleast his attacks reached 5 ters high.
"Woolie!"
"The match began with contestant number 117 taking a lead! He used a vicious attack of Stone Spikes! And how will number 69 counter it?! This...what am I seeing, folks? Contestant number 69 covered his face and turned away! Did he already give up after the first attack and abandoned Woolie?! What a cruel Battle Master!! I think this match has co to a clear conclusio—" Harry’s speech got stuck in the midway, as Woolie just vanished from its place, before appearing directly on the side of the Big Grizzly, hitting it with a Tackle.
Bang!!
The effect of the attack was instantaneous, as the Bear was blown away, flying out of the stage bounds and slamming into the far wall — embedding itself there.
The whole stadium fell silent for a second as soon as it happened.
"What an... absolute domination!! We have ourselves our first winner of the match!!" Harry broke the silence. The whole crowd also went wild at this, cheering loudly!!
Hearing the cheers, Woolie turned its head up with a smug look on its face. At least the people knew how to please Emperor Woolie.
Raiden waved his hands towards the crowd and walked down the stage.
"Wow, Raiden, I didn’t know you had it in you! At this rate, you might even stand a chance against , the great god Toby!! " Fatty, I an Toby, approached him, acting all excited.
"Ahem, ahem. It was nothing special. That guy was just weak. Let us watch the rest of the matches. The competition had just begun." Raiden waved his hand. He didn’t think the level of the competition would be this low. It was just the prelims. He was especially curious about the three seeded contestants that the anchors talked about.
"What a banger start of the competition with that first match, ladies and gentlen. I hope the rest of the competition is just as exciting!!" Harry announced.
"Humph, I told you that contestant number 69 will win!! You didn’t believe . I was right!! He is so handso... I am rooting for him to win the whole competition. He is definitely the dark horse in the competition!!" Hermione spoke loudly.
Hearing this, Harry felt speechless.
"I think you are focusing on the wrong things, you boy crazy woman!"
"What did you say?!" Hermione snapped her head towards him.
"Nothing, nothing at all. Anyways, let us welco our second competitor for the day!!"
The crowd cheered as the competition continued.
