Federal Calendar, Year 7708.

Star Federation, Dusk Star Domain.

Old Era Resource Star - Number Seventeen.

This was a resource planet that had been almost completely forgotten by the upper echelons of the Federation.

A hundred years ago, after the rich spirit stone deposits on this planet were violently extracted by the Star Federation.

This planet nad "Number Seventeen" had been practically forgotten by the world.

Of course, even facing resource depletion, there were still people who hadn't forgotten this planet.

For example, the people living on this planet...

Clear Mine City, Lower District.

This area housed hundreds of thousands of descendants of relocated miners.

This was also the slum district.

After the Federation completed extraction operations on this resource star, these relocated miners were forced to settle here permanently.

These miners, as far as the Federation was concerned, had lost their utility value and beco dispensable burdens.

When hundreds of thousands of people lost mining as their ans of livelihood.

Especially when these miners learned that the Federation would no longer be responsible for their future.

These people naturally beca the most dangerous and chaotic population on this planet.

They were contributors, yet simultaneously, they were the forgotten ones.

At this mont.

Within this slum district.

On a wide yet sowhat dilapidated street.

Various kinds of people lived here, and the diverse residents made this street even more chaotic and cluttered.

Even the middle of the main road was piled with garbage.

In the air, old discarded newspapers occasionally drifted by, who knows which holess person's temporary shelter...

A woman wearing shabby clothes was walking forward with a panicked expression, choosing to ignore the wolf-like glances occasionally cast her way from people on both sides of the street.

Her hair was sowhat ssy, casually draped behind her head, as if life's burdens had already crushed her.

Causing her to have no ti to concern herself with such trivial matters.

Dark circles surrounded her eyes, indicating she hadn't rested properly for quite so ti.

Soon, the local residents of this street set their sights on her.

Set their sights on this sowhat out-of-place outsider.

With such a panicked expression, she naturally appeared like a delicious yet harmless little lamb on this street known as the "gray zone."

From a chanical repair shop erged two dark-skinned, robust repairn who quietly followed behind the woman.

On their waists, the two repairn conspicuously carried old combat knives, making no attempt to conceal them.

Inside various shops along the street, the local residents noticed this scene and revealed cruel, disdainful smiles.

"Young people are so impatient. Such delicacies are best enjoyed only after their fear reaches its peak."

"Since that person arrived, this street hasn't seen any entertainnt for a long ti."

Gradually, the woman, being an outsider, noticed sothing from the unabashedly naked gazes from both sides.

She was being targeted.

The panicked woman suddenly stopped her trembling steps, opening her dry throat to shout toward both sides of the street:

"Mr. Loren!! I'm here to see Mr. Loren!!"

Upon hearing this, the hunting atmosphere on the street instantly vanished.

And those malicious, undisguised gazes quietly withdrew.

The two repairn who had been following not far behind the woman had also disappeared at so unknown ti.

After hearing the woman's shout, the two repairn used the fastest speed of their lives to return to that chanical repair shop.

As if they had never co out hunting.

"Damn! That bitch ca to see that monster Loren!!" one repairman cursed loudly after returning to the shop.

"Enough! Keep your voice down! You should be grateful we haven't laid hands on that woman yet!! That monster Loren has very cruel thods for those who target his clients." the other repairman began feeling belated fear.

As soon as he finished speaking.

The glass window of the chanical repair shop was shattered by two bullets from an unknown origin.

After breaking through the window, the rapidly approaching bullets didn't stop, flying into the room and circling several tis inside, as if searching for their targets.

The bullets slowly circled within the room, moving so slowly that one could see the patterns on them, as if deliberately toying with their prey...

Witnessing their shop's glass shatter, the two repairn's pupils contracted!

They leaped toward the street outside the shop.

"Run!"

"Those are Loren's bullets!!!"

While fleeing for their lives, they didn't forget to warn each other.

After the two n rapidly escaped the chanical repair shop and reached the wide, cluttered street.

The two bullets circling inside the room seed to have finally found their targets, flying rapidly directly toward the two n.

"Bang!"

Accompanied by two explosive sounds of bullets entering heads.

Two headless repairn fell conspicuously onto the street.

The explosive power of the bullets apparently freed these two repairn from their worries forever.

Large amounts of blood flowed from the necks of the two n on the ground, staining the nearby pavent red...

The tragedy occurred just like that on this street.

Like a warning to everyone on this street, or like a unique performance purely for personal amusent.

Regarding such scenes, the various shops along the street were quite accustod, with no one even bothering to take a look...

In the central section of this street.

At a two-story building with a sign reading "Raven Agency" hanging at the entrance.

A young man with a sowhat gentle appearance unhurriedly pushed open his agency's door.

Erging from the doorway, the young man wore an exquisite black top hat on his head, with disheveled black long hair flowing behind him.

He wore a black overcoat, paired with black trousers popular during the Federation's old era, and heavy black boots on his feet - old-era military style.

Most notably, a white flower was pinned to his chest.

The second most striking feature was a completely black raven perched on his shoulder.

Interestingly, this raven occasionally helped the young man tidy his hair flowing behind his head, constantly maintaining the young man's presentable appearance.

After he stepped out the door, the handwritten sign casually placed nearby beca sowhat tilted due to the door's movent.

After pushing open the agency door, the young man skillfully walked to the side and gently straightened his handwritten sign.

After straightening the sowhat crude sign, the young man turned and elegantly doffed his hat in a gentlemanly bow toward the confused, helpless woman in the middle of the street.

"First ti eting, beautiful lady. I believe you might be looking for ."

The raven on the young man's shoulder didn't fall off due to his movent.

Instead, it remained steadily perched on his shoulder, and along with the young man's gesture, it also nodded its small head toward the woman, as if paying respects...
