Now reading: Chapter 140: War Castle from I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?, a Sci-fi novel by 剑屠雨Rain Slayer.

Loren was taken aback for a mont, but then felt it was reasonable. After all, he had taken out a Star Domain Councilor.

It's just... I didn't expect the Security Bureau and the military to use black market channels to catch ?

Is it a lack of manpower? Or have they sensed sothing strange about ?

Still, sothing feels off about this...

Thinking this, Loren casually probed, maintaining a neutral expression:

"Has your organization seen the Federation's bounty notice on ?"

Hearing this, the Superhuman's expression turned sowhat strange.

So, you did all those things ntioned in the intelligence just to beco famous? What a dangerous man...

"My apologies, sir. Our organization has not yet seen any Federation bounty notice concerning you."

Upon hearing that he wasn't on any Federation bounty list, a flicker of confusion passed through Loren's eyes.

I took out a councilor of interstellar significance, and the Federation governnt still hasn't issued a bounty for ?

Is there so other hidden circumstance? Or did "Fortune" help avoid it?

"Thank your organization for . I'll rember this favor."

Loren announced his departure. Taking little Ayla Morningstar's small hand, the two figures, one large and one small, turned and left the place.

Unable to figure out the answer for now, Loren decided to push the matter to the back of his mind.

"Mr. Loren, please take care on your way." The respectful farewell from that Superhuman ca from behind.

He's finally gone, that dangerous lunatic. The Superhuman who had received Loren breathed a sigh of relief in his heart.

No wonder he has a 3-billion Federation coin bounty on him. A full 300,000 Spirit Stones. The oppressive aura emanating from him was almost suffocating.

After Loren led Ayla Morningstar out of that remote alley, he took out his portable computer. Opening the mapping software, he input "Radiant Flow Star Domain Main City Interstellar Hunter Association".

Once the mapping software pinpointed the location of the Interstellar Hunter Association, Loren handed the portable computer to the little girl beside him, who was looking up at him with an expression full of admiration.

"Hold this, don't drop it." After saying this, the pair of broad, black wings unfurled from Loren's back.

He crouched down, scooped Ayla Morningstar up in his arms, and with a powerful flap of the black wings behind him...

A gust of wind swept past, and the figures of the two vanished from the ground.

...

Federal Calendar 7708, October 17th, noon.

Loren, with his youngest client in tow, arrived at the Interstellar Hunter Association within the Main City of the Radiant Flow Star Domain.

He had asked Ayla Morningstar her age on the way. She was two years younger than Little John from Resource Planet 17. The little girl was only 9 years old.

Yes, a 9-year-old Third Rank Psychic, and one suspected to be a Rule-Based Psychic leaning towards the healing side.

Now *that* is a true genius, in every sense of the word.

Loren generally held goodwill towards human children.

Rooted in his experiences in the slums, the few happy mories he could recall often featured the presence of children.

For example, the rather cheap plastic white flower on his chest was given to him by a child when Loren himself was still young.

No matter what the world is like, it's never the children's fault. It has nothing to do with them.

Most children born within the Federation are quite adorable.

Loren, holding the hand of the well-behaved and sensible Ayla Morningstar, walked through the entrance of the Interstellar Hunter Association here.

Perhaps due to the chaos of the Radiant Flow Star Domain, the Interstellar Hunter Association here had been directly constructed to resemble a war castle.

The castle was surrounded by towering, thick walls, and above it was an Energy Shield that perpetually enveloped the structure.

At the high points on the four sides of the castle, specialized Superhumans were stationed, vigilantly watching for any abnormalities.

Loren was filled with curiosity about this sowhat peculiar Interstellar Hunter Association.

Such exaggerated security asures wouldn't even be out of place on the front lines of the conflict between the Federation and the Empire.

After leading Ayla Morningstar through the gate beneath the castle walls, the two figures, one large and one small, were stunned by the environnt inside the castle.

There were no decorative elents related to scenery here. The only things present were vast numbers of War Weapons.

The square outside the main castle structure was filled with various types of combat cha, as well as so small combat vessels that looked highly dangerous.

These War Weapons cramd the entire square.

"Big brother, are all the other Interstellar Hunter Associations this cool too?" Ayla Morningstar asked, looking up at Loren.

The corner of Loren's mouth twitched. "No, I think only this place is specially cool."

He estimated the number of War Weapons parked in the square. This was enough to participate in an inter-stellar-domain battle.

After stopping Ayla Morningstar, who wanted to reach out and touch those combat cha, he took the little one's hand and walked into the main hall of this war castle.

Upon entering the interior of the castle hall, the air carried a faint scent of rust—a subtle sll of blood.

This blood scent entirely emanated from the clothes of the Interstellar Hunters hurrying about within the hall.

Everyone in the hall was silent, and their steps were hurried.

Ayla Morningstar's small brow furrowed slightly. She clearly didn't like the sll drifting in the air.

Loren, however, stood at the hall entrance, took a deep, appreciative breath of the castle's air, and gave a slight, imperceptible nod.

"Raven, I like this place."

"No, Master. You just like the chaotic and dangerous atmosphere here."

Man and raven exchanged a thought in their minds.

At that mont.

"Make way, newcor. Don't block the entrance. The newcor reception is over there."

A travel-worn Interstellar Hunter, passing by Loren and Ayla Morningstar, offered a kind reminder, casually pointing towards a reception window on the left side of the hall.

After speaking, this travel-worn Interstellar Hunter didn't wait for Loren's reaction. He simply stepped around Loren's figure and hurriedly exited the castle hall.

Seeing this, Loren shook his head with a wry smile.

Holding Ayla Morningstar's hand, he walked to the reception window on the left side of the hall and handed his Interstellar Hunter license inside.

"Hello, ma'am. Two lounges, please. Adjacent ones."

The receptionist inside the window took Loren's Interstellar Hunter license with an expressionless face and inserted it into the computer in front of her.

Imdiately after, the receptionist's pupils contracted. She looked up at Loren.

"Mr. Loren, welco to the Radiant Flow Star Domain."

"My apologies. Due to the limited availability of lounges within the castle, your current Level 5 clearance only permits you to reserve one lounge."

"However, judging from your combat record, Mr. Loren, you are eligible to apply for a higher clearance level. Our Chief happens to be in the castle right now. You can take the clearance assessnt imdiately."

"Once you obtain higher clearance, sir, you will be able to reserve two lounges within the castle."

Loren tilted his head in thought. Lounges are in short supply?

"Thank you for the suggestion. Please apply for the Level 8 assessnt for ," Loren said with a smile.

"With all due respect, Mr. Loren, based on your capabilities, you are qualified to apply for the Level 9 assessnt," the female receptionist inside the window suggested in a low voice.

"Oh, has my record from the Jadeite Star Domain spread this quickly?"

"Yes, sir. Due to the black market bounty, your deeds in assisting the Security Bureau to purge the remnants of the Justice Party have beco widely known."

At this, Loren's eyes narrowed involuntarily.

He slled the scent of a "conspiracy."
