The receptionist wanted to congratulate Loren for a reason.

As the recomnder, when Ms. Thia passes the assessnt, Loren would receive a reward.

A special reward of one hundred contribution points.

It was precisely because of this re one hundred point special reward that created the behemoth known as the Interstellar Hunter Association.

Every day, countless new generations pass the Interstellar Hunter Association's assessnts.

Joining this warm big family.

According to Interstellar Hunter Association statistics.

Many formidable individuals who remain low-key during their early superhuman days were just ordinary newcors.

These people often joined the Interstellar Hunter Association because of a casually written recomndation letter.

These individuals typically would shine with dazzling brilliance during their later superhuman stages.

For example, soone like Loren.

In the early days, he was just an ordinary psychopath who enjoyed killing people and giving away revolvers.

But as ti developed, Loren had beco one of the strongest individuals in this Interstellar Hunter branch.

And from his current tier perspective, Loren was only a Fourth Stage psychic.

He still had a long future ahead.

"Please open a rest room for on the third floor."

Loren handed his hunter license through the window, asking them to open a rest room for him.

The receptionist perford another round of rapid operations.

"Alright, Mr. Loren, it's been opened."

"Please notify Ms. Thia that I'll be waiting for her in the rest room on the third floor."

After speaking, Loren retrieved his hunter license, hoisted Evan over his shoulder, and walked up to the third floor.

After entering the rest room.

Loren threw the unconscious Evan onto the sofa in the rest room.

He himself sat on the opposite sofa and said to the unconscious Evan:

"Mr. Evan, I must comnt that your acting skills aren't quite convincing."

"You regained consciousness back in the mining tunnel, correct?"

Loren calmly stared at Evan lying on the opposite sofa.

After a long silence.

Evan sowhat awkwardly sat up.

"Mr. Loren, I was just feeling a bit at a loss."

Loren nodded indifferently, accepting this explanation.

"When did you awaken your psychic ability?" Loren continued asking.

Throughout the journey, Loren had been carrying Evan and naturally sensed the rather abundant energy within his body.

"The second day after being captured for mining," Evan answered frankly.

Since he hadn't managed to hide it from the other, Evan simply admitted it.

"What psychic ability did you awaken?" Loren asked curiously.

"I can attach a certain amount of energy to objects, allowing them to produce specific special effects. I can even attach it to mining picks, and it's precisely because of this ability that I managed to hold on for so many days."

Evan vaguely described his ability.

"So, you actually had the capability to escape, correct?" Loren asked with interest.

"Um... indeed, but I thought that place was quite good, with abundant spirit stones..."

"So... I just kept... delaying until you ca to rescue , Mr. Loren..."

Evan recounted everything he had experienced.

Loren calmly shrugged and didn't speak further.

This guy doesn't seem very honest...

The rest can wait until Ms. Thia arrives...

Silence fell in the rest room.

Evan on the opposite side felt like sitting on pins and needles.

Loren, however, leaned back quietly on the sofa and began resting with his eyes closed.

He hadn't rested for quite so ti, and continuous use of his psychic ability had left Loren sowhat ntally fatigued.

It was only because Loren's ntal strength was comparatively stronger due to certain reasons that he managed to return to the Interstellar Hunter branch without showing any signs of strain.

After about 10 minutes, Ms. Thia hurriedly pushed open the rest room door.

After rushing through the door, Ms. Thia first bowed deeply toward Loren's direction.

Then she directly rushed into Evan's embrace.

Evan, anwhile, responded sowhat awkwardly.

Under Loren's teasing gaze, Evan uncomfortably placed his hands on Ms. Thia's back.

Gently patting Ms. Thia who was quietly sobbing.

"Don't cry... I've returned safely, haven't I..."

Loren watched this peculiar scene calmly from the side.

Loren had accepted several rescue missions before.

But he had never encountered a rescued person who reacted like Evan.

Another interesting experience added. Loren's thoughts drifted sowhat.

After a while.

Evan seed quite skilled at comforting girls, as with just a few casual words of reassurance.

Ms. Thia gradually stopped sobbing and regained her composure.

Though not exactly composed.

Currently, Ms. Thia's face showed very obvious happiness, a visibly satisfied expression.

Loren stared at his client, and the holder of his revolver—Vera Sia.

Especially after seeing the rather foolish happiness displayed on her face, Loren's mood clearly wasn't very good.

As a client, you can be foolish.

But as the holder of my revolver, your foolishness sowhat affects .

Loren felt unusually annoyed.

Ms. Thia, as his carefully selected "revolver holder," was extrely important to Loren's plans.

It was just unfortunate that the resilient, brave, rational, and cruel Ms. Thia that Loren valued.

Those qualities that Loren considered quite admirable.

Mostly disappeared after she threw herself into Evan's embrace.

Loren had to admit that his understanding of won was still sowhat shallow.

He had misjudged her.

However, he still had opportunities to redy the situation.

Loren decided to do sothing, as he couldn't bear to see his important investnt go to waste.

These past couple of days, he had exhausted himself.

He had even offended a large group of people in the shadows for Ms. Thia's sake.

Most importantly, Loren deeply suspected.

That if he left things as they were, Ms. Thia could be deceived by this not-so-honest Evan until nothing remained of her.

This won't do!

This is the anchor point I spent "great cost" to cultivate!!

This is my resurrection point!!!

This also relates to my important plans in the future!!!!

Such substantial sunk costs clearly made Loren, who wasn't particularly skilled at investing, sowhat defensive...

It was ti to add so additional costs to recover so losses!

After pondering for a long ti, Loren spoke gravely.

"Mr. Evan, could you excuse us for a mont?"

"I need to discuss so important matters with Ms. Thia."

Evan, who was holding Ms. Thia, was taken aback.

But quickly, he nodded quite compliantly.

Evan had witnessed Loren's cruelty in the underground space.

He understood that it was better to maintain so respect when facing this cold-blooded, crazy interstellar hunter.

Especially when within range of the other's bullets.

"Thia, I'll wait for you outside."

After speaking, Evan even kissed her forehead.

Then Evan walked out of the rest room door, gently closing it behind him.

Only Loren and Thia remained in the rest room.

Loren sat upright on the sofa, watching the blissful-faced Ms. Thia before him, his mouth twitching...

Damn it!

I'm really not cut out for this!
