I Just Wanted to Teach Cultivation, But Goddesses Keep Coming! Chapter 149 The Sword Fairy Fears My Chopsticks
"Qiao i," Lin Feng called softly, his voice calm yet carrying an authority that seed to travel effortlessly across the stadium.
Though she had been standing so distance away, waiting for others to go down, she heard him as clearly as if he were standing right beside her.
Qiao i straightened at once.
Without the slightest hesitation, she made her way toward Lin Feng, moving with quiet grace as she adeptly sidestepped the flood of students crowding the area.
Her steps were smooth and unhurried, yet in only a few monts, she had already reached his side.
Her niece, Chu Jiangyue, who had been standing close by, quickly followed also.
"Yes, ntor Lin Feng?" Qiao i asked respectfully the mont she stood before him.
Her posture was straight, her tone gentle yet attentive.
Lin Feng gave a small nod.
"Kindly inform your classmates about lunch today... my original students, before today’s additions," he said.
"I’ve been aning to treat all of you for so ti now. Since we’ve welcod new students today, I think it’s only fitting that we celebrate properly."
His gaze softened slightly. "You and Jiangyue are welco to join us as well, if you’d like. There’s no need to stand on ceremony."
Chu Jiangyue’s eyes lit up instantly, sparkling like stars. She didn’t even wait for her aunt to respond.
"Aunt i and I would love that, ntor Lin Feng!" she declared brightly.
Her excitent was impossible to hide.
Spending more ti with her favorite teacher clearly delighted her, and even Qiao i couldn’t suppress the faint smile tugging at her lips.
"If that is the case, we would be honored to join," Qiao i added more composedly, though the warmth in her eyes betrayed her own happiness.
"I’ll go inform the others right away, ntor Lin Feng," she said before turning toward Su Wanwan and the rest of the class.
She walked with steady steps, gathering the students together.
Not even a full minute passed before a familiar figure ca hurrying over.
Big Fatty Yuan Bao.
He approached with exaggerated swagger, his round face glowing with anticipation, a grin so wide it seed to stretch from ear to ear.
"ntor Lin Feng!" he called out, clasping his hands dramatically as if greeting a long-lost benefactor.
"I heard the glorious news that you would be treating us to lunch today!"
He inhaled deeply, placing one hand over his chest. "You truly are the epito of kindness, the embodint of generosity, the shining beacon of virtue among all ntors! Unable to bear the thought of your poor, starving students suffering even for a single afternoon!"
Several nearby students rolled their eyes.
Yuan Bao puffed out his chest proudly and thumped it three tis with solemn intensity.
"Worry not, ntor Lin Feng! Senior Brother Yuan Bao is a man of restraint. A moderate eater at best!"
A cough from behind him caused a few students to choke back laughter.
"I shall only consu what is necessary for survival," he continued earnestly.
"Perhaps... three bowls of rice. Four at most. And maybe a modest portion of at purely for maintaining cultivation energy, of course. I would never let you suffer holes in your pockets."
He lowered his voice conspiratorially. "In fact, if needed, I can even skip dessert."
The silence that followed made his words even more suspicious.
Lin Feng looked at him calmly, his expression unreadable. "Is that so?"
"Absolutely!" Yuan Bao declared, patting his belly with confidence. "You can trust on this sacred vow!"
Behind him, one of the much older students, already ninety years old, muttered under his breath, "The last ti I heard him say that, he emptied half the restaurant."
Yuan Bao pretended not to hear.
The atmosphere around them grew livelier by the second.
Two minutes later, everyone had gathered around Lin Feng.
He looked at the familiar faces before him... his six original students.
Wang Yuyan stood calmly with her usual quiet elegance.
Su Wanwan practically vibrated with excitent.
Chu Jiangyue lingered close to her aunt, Qiao i, who maintained her graceful composure.
Liu Yang stood shy and silent.
And last but certainly not least, Yuan Bao occupied slightly more space than the rest combined.
"Is everyone ready?" Lin Feng asked, sweeping his gaze across them.
"Yes! Wanwan is always ready, ntor Lin Feng!" Su Wanwan chirped, nearly bouncing off the ground.
A warm mory surfaced in her heart... the first day she had t him.
Back then, she had been nervous and unsure, and he had taken her out to lunch after finding her training alone in the back forest of the academy.
That simple gesture had ant more to her than he probably realized.
Thinking about it now almost brought tears to her eyes.
The others nodded in agreent.
"We’re ready, ntor," Wang Yuyan said softly.
"Anywhere you lead, ntor Lin Feng," Liu Yang added respectfully.
Yuan Bao puffed out his chest. "Senior Brother Yuan Bao was born ready."
Lin Feng chuckled faintly. "Good. Let’s walk to the restaurant. After sitting through such a long morning class, it’s better to stretch our legs."
He turned and began leading them out of the academy gates.
The group naturally followed behind him, drawing curious looks from passing students.
They were too many to fit into Qiao i’s carriage anyway, so walking together felt more fitting.
Everywhere they passed, eyes followed them.
Whispers rose in waves, but the greatest shock ca when people noticed Li Zhiyan walking quietly at the back of the group.
"Is that the famous pill prodigy of the Li Clan, Li Zhiyan?"
"Why is she following behind them like a servant?"
"Are you stupid? A pride of heaven like her would never lower herself to be a servant. She has probably joined Teacher Lin Feng’s class."
People whispered all around them, but Lin Feng’s students paid little attention.
In fact, Big Fatty Yuan Bao took the lead in keeping the atmosphere lively, talking nonstop and laughing loudly as if the entire street belonged to him.
With such cheerful chatter accompanying them, thirty minutes passed in the blink of an eye.
They all stopped before a massive building that towered over the surrounding structures.
The restaurant was grand beyond compare... its exterior crafted from dark polished wood and jade-inlaid pillars, golden lanterns hanging in perfect symtry along the entrance.
The roof curved upward like a soaring phoenix, its tiles shimring faintly under the afternoon sun.
At the entrance stood a large plaque with three imposing characters carved in ancient script.
The Myriad Origins Wandering Inn.
