The two clansn from the Li clan could not believe what they had just witnessed.

For a brief mont, neither of them spoke, as if their minds had montarily stopped working.

Yet they were not fools, nor were they people who had just entered the cultivation world yesterday.

The clan elder was a respected figure within the Li clan, soone who had cultivated for decades and possessed far more experience than they did.

A person like him would never perform such a strange act without reason.

Slowly, the two n turned their heads and looked at one another.

The sa thought was already forming in both of their minds.

"There’s so treasure hidden in these stones!" one of them suddenly said, his voice low but filled with excitent.

The other clansman’s eyes widened as the words sank in.

"A great treasure... yes, that must be it," he replied quickly, nodding his head with increasing certainty.

"Otherwise why would the clan elder swallow them like that? Soone of his status would never act so strangely without a purpose."

Their breathing gradually quickened as greed began to take root in their hearts.

In the cultivation world, treasures appeared in the strangest ways.

So people obtained their fortuitous encounters after jumping off a cliff and surviving by chance.

Others gained them after eating a mysterious fruit they stumbled upon in the wilderness.

There were even those who beca lost in the mountains and accidentally discovered the hidden remains of an immortal’s cave, where the inheritance of a long-dead powerhouse waited to be claid.

In the cultivation world, opportunities often appeared in the strangest and most unexpected ways.

Because of this, many cultivators firmly believed that luck and fate played a huge role in one’s destiny.

With examples like these constantly circulating in stories and rumors, the idea that eating glowing stones might be their own fortuitous encounter no longer seed that absurd to them.

The two friends exchanged another look, and this ti there was no hesitation in their eyes.

Without another word, they imdiately rushed back toward the riverbank where hundreds of people were still diving into the water in search of the glittering stones.

Water splashed loudly as bodies jumped in and out of the river, each person eager to gather as many stones as possible.

The two Li clansn hurried forward and leapt into the water as well.

"Splash!"

Cold water swallowed their bodies as they dove beneath the surface.

Their hands imdiately began sweeping across the riverbed, grabbing every shining stone they could find.

The stones were smooth and glittering under the filtered sunlight that passed through the water, making the entire riverbed look like it was filled with scattered stars.

Whenever they surfaced, they would secretly glance around to make sure no one was paying attention to them.

Then, just like the clan elder had done earlier, they quickly raised the stones to their mouths and swallowed them.

At first they hesitated.

After all, swallowing stones was not exactly sothing a normal person would do willingly.

But once the first stone went down their throats without any imdiate pain or reaction, their courage rapidly increased.

"It actually worked..." one of them muttered under his breath.

"Quickly, eat more before others realize," the other whispered urgently.

Soon the two of them began consuming the stones one after another.

What started as cautious attempts quickly turned into sothing far more ridiculous.

Their mouths moved rapidly as the stones disappeared into their stomachs like candies.

Each ti they dived back into the water, they ca up with more stones clutched in their hands.

And each ti, several more stones vanished down their throats.

Ti slowly passed.

As the number of stones they swallowed increased, their stomachs gradually began to swell.

At first it was barely noticeable, but eventually their bellies started bulging outward in an almost comical manner.

Yet even then they refused to stop.

Greed had already taken hold of their minds.

In their eyes, every stone represented a hidden treasure waiting to be unlocked within their bodies.

"If the elder ate them, then there must be so secret thod to refine them later," one of them reasoned.

"Yes... we just need to store them first," the other replied while stuffing another stone into his mouth.

The sight would have been utterly absurd to any ordinary person watching from the outside.

Two grown cultivators standing by the riverbank, devouring sparkling stones as if they were delicious sweets.

Yet the strange scene also highlighted one undeniable truth.

Cultivators possessed bodies far stronger than ordinary mortals.

Years of tempering their physiques with spiritual energy had made their organs tougher and more resilient.

Sothing that would easily kill a normal human could often be endured by a cultivator without much trouble.

Even so, the scene of their swollen bellies and greedy expressions made it hard not to wonder just how far that resilience could truly go.

And so the river continued to sparkle quietly under the sunlight, its flowing waters hiding countless mysterious stones beneath the surface.

To any passerby, it appeared calm and ordinary, as if nothing unusual was happening at all.

Yet not far from the riverbank, two grown n and one clan elder were secretly cultivating in their own strange way, their bellies already full of glittering stones, with more still being swallowed at a rapid pace.

anwhile, Lin Feng had no idea about the chain of events his earlier words had set into motion.

At the mont, he was already dealing with another headache entirely, one that had appeared right inside his own courtyard in the form of two beautiful won.

One of them had long blonde hair that shimred under the sunlight, while the other possessed soft brown hair that frad her delicate face.

Despite their different appearances, both of them were staring at him with the sa intense gaze, as if he were so kind of delicious al placed right in front of them.

Lin Feng sighed helplessly.

"Sotis it’s really hard being this handso. I have handso man problems too," he mused inwardly, shaking his head in complete helplessness.
