Lin Feng paused slightly, letting the words sink in.

"As for your work," he went on, "you only need to cook for . That is all. Breakfast and dinner... nothing more. The rest of your ti is yours to use as you see fit. Study, train, rest, or return to your world... it is entirely your choice."

Her mind was racing.

She had fought countless battles, faced armies alone, and survived impossible odds but this arrangent... this calm, almost mundane request from soone who had just saved her world made her pulse quicken in a different way.

She was both relieved and cautious.

Lin Feng gave her a brief, knowing smile before adding, "By the way... I do not believe I have your na yet."

She straightened instinctively, her voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions inside her. "Ery. My na is Ery, Master Lin Feng."

Lin Feng inclined his head once, as if committing her na to mory, his expression calm but unreadable.

"Unique na," Lin Feng said, a hint of curiosity in his tone as he regarded her carefully.

"Do you have any questions? About your duties, or anything at all?"

Ery t his gaze steadily, her composure unwavering despite the whirlwind of thoughts racing through her mind.

After a brief pause, she nodded once, clear and decisive. "No. I understand, Master Lin Feng."

Lin Feng’s expression softened just slightly, and for the first ti since she had seen him, there was a faint glimr of amusent in his eyes, as if he already knew that the next five years would be anything but ordinary.

It was also at that mont that Lin Feng took a proper, careful look at his cook, Ery.

She no longer wore the battle-worn armor that had carried her through ten thousand years of war.

Instead, she was dressed in elegant black cultivator robes, simple yet refined, with no markings or insignia to denote any affiliation.

The robes flowed gracefully around her, emphasizing the poise and discipline of soone who had clearly walked through many cultivation worlds before this one.

Even in this serene morning light, it was obvious she was accustod to navigating dangerous situations and adapting to new environnts.

Her long black hair fell freely down her back, glossy and unbound, giving her a softer, almost ethereal appearance that contrasted with the formidable aura she carried.

Her expression was cautious, curious, and slightly guarded... a subtle tension around her eyes that marred her otherwise flawless face.

It spoke volus of a life shaped by countless battles and betrayals, a warrior’s instinct refusing to completely let down her guard.

Lin Feng noted it all calmly. Ery was no ordinary woman... she was an old monster, a veteran of millennia, hardened by wars that spanned more ti than most civilizations could rember.

Her body, although hidden beneath the flowing robes, hinted at the strength and vitality that ca from centuries of cultivation and disciplined combat.

She moved with the ease and control of soone who had long mastered her form.

Lin Feng glanced at her silently, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

There was no lust in his observation... he had no interest in testing boundaries or taking advantage of soone in a position of dependence.

He had seen too many young masters in this world, vile n who preyed on the defenseless, abusing their power for selfish desires.

But he was not such a man.

Respect and propriety guided him, even as he acknowledged the undeniable perfection of her form.

He simply approved silently of what he saw, a gentle recognition of her strength, experience, and capability.

"The sun’s almost up, Ery," he said lightly, his tone casual but expectant.

"I’m waiting to see what you’ll cook for the first ti. Surprise ."

He gave her a nod, then turned and strode toward his room, leaving her to prepare.

Once inside, he settled down to indulge in a more familiar pasti... his favorite shooter gas from Earth.

Distance ant little even while being literally in another universe, his connection to the online servers was flawless.

He loaded his weapons, adjusted his controls, and smiled quietly to himself.

Sowhere between the multiverse and the quiet morning, he could relax, knowing that a capable cook and warrior was preparing to serve him a al that might just set the tone for the next five years.

Outside, the first rays of sunlight filtered through the windows, casting warm golden streaks across the room.

Ery moved silently, focused and precise, her movents controlled and deliberate.

The quiet hum of the morning, the faint crackle of the fire, and the distant sounds of the waking world created a delicate rhythm... one that would mark the beginning of a new Chapter for both of them.

In the end, Ery truly delivered.

She had prepared ticulously before even arriving, studying the ingredients and techniques she would need to recreate the most exquisite dishes from her world.

Every step had been planned, every spice asured, every thod perfected.

Despite the elaborate nature of the al, her movents were fluid, precise, and efficient, taking her only thirty minutes to bring everything together.

The aroma alone was enough to make the air feel alive... rich, tantalizing scents that blended perfectly, hinting at both comfort and sophistication.

When Lin Feng sat down to taste the dishes, his eyes lit up imdiately.

Each bite seed to captivate him, his expression softening, then brightening, then breaking into an unmistakable smile of satisfaction.

Ery watched him closely, her trained eyes reading every microexpression.

She saw the slight widening of his eyes at the first taste, the subtle nod of approval at the second, and the brief, almost imperceptible hum of appreciation he gave between bites.

In that mont, she knew with certainty that her efforts had been successful.

She had pleased him, not just with skill, but with thoughtfulness, creativity, and a deep understanding of flavor.

"Delicious! Absolutely delicious," Lin Feng exclaid, his voice filled with genuine delight. "I couldn’t have made this better myself."
