"The least I can do is not waste the food placed before ." Lin Feng’s words fell simply, yet they struck Yun Wanqing like a thunderclap.

Shock rippled through her mind.

She had not expected that such a plain, almost casual explanation could leave such a deep impact on her heart.

It was neither profound nor decorated with grand philosophies, and yet... it carried a weight she could not ignore.

For a brief mont, she found herself at a loss.

"Master Lin Feng is truly... different," she thought to herself.

Her gaze lingered on him, growing noticeably warr.

The faint coldness she had carried when she first arrived that afternoon... her natural distance, her quiet restraint was slowly lting away.

In its place, a subtle heat began to rise, spreading gently through her chest.

It was not sothing sudden or overwhelming, but rather a gradual shift, like ice thawing under the warmth of the sun.

And without realizing it, the way she looked at him had already changed.

And to think that she had only t Lin Feng today.

Yet in such a short span of ti, he had already left a deep impression on her heart. It was subtle, almost imperceptible, but undeniably there.

The so-called Lin Feng effect was truly real.

No woman, it seed, was immune to his natural charm.

With that, Lin Feng lowered his gaze once more and continued eating, as if the matter had already been settled.

Around the table, however, no one reacted.

Tang Aining continued sipping her drink as if nothing unusual had occurred. Ery calmly tidied up what little remained. Ye Jian and Li Zhiyan showed no signs of surprise either.

Clearly... they were already used to this.

Only Yun Wanqing remained unsettled, her thoughts struggling to keep pace.

Once the al was over, Lin Feng rose to his feet.

"There are many rooms in the house, Wanqing. Choose whichever you like," he said casually, as though the earlier scene had never happened.

Without waiting for a response, he turned and began walking toward his chambers.

"Thank you, Master Lin Feng," Yun Wanqing replied softly, inclining her head.

She remained standing where she was, watching his retreating figure.

For so reason, she did not move imdiately.

Her mind was still occupied by the al, by his words, and by the strange, unique presence he carried so effortlessly.

"Good night, Sister Yun Wanqing," Tang Aining said brightly.

Before Yun Wanqing could respond, Tang Aining had already turned and followed after Lin Feng without hesitation, her steps light and eager.

Yun Wanqing blinked.

Her brows knit together slightly.

What?!

Where is she going?

A faint, uncertain thought surfaced in her mind, one she did not imdiately dare to voice.

Don’t tell ...

Her gaze instinctively shifted toward Lin Feng’s chamber.

Before she could fully process it, another figure moved.

Ery quietly made her way toward the sa room, her expression calm as ever.

Then Ye Jian followed.

And finally, Li Zhiyan.

One after another, without pause or hesitation, all of them entered Lin Feng’s room.

Yun Wanqing stood there, completely still.

Her thoughts churned.

Are they all... his won?

The idea alone was shocking enough.

But to willingly gather like this... to enter his room together without the slightest trace of reluctance...

Her heart trembled faintly.

Are they serving him... in that way?

She could hardly believe it.

Yet the scene unfolding before her eyes left little room for doubt.

A minute passed.

Then another.

Just as she was about to force herself to turn away and head to her own room...

"Ahhhhhh..." A soft sound drifted out from within the chamber.

"Ohhhhh..." Then another.

Low, breathy, unmistakable.

Yun Wanqing froze.

Her entire body stiffened as the faint sounds grew clearer, weaving together into a lody that needed no explanation.

Her face flushed faintly despite herself, and her fingers unconsciously tightened at her sides.

So it’s true...

All of her earlier questions vanished in an instant, replaced by a single undeniable reality.

Standing alone in the quiet corridor, Yun Wanqing felt an unfamiliar mix of emotions stir within her chest... shock, disbelief... and sothing she could not quite na.

But even as she walked down the hallway to choose a room of her own, the echoes of those sounds followed her, refusing to fade.

That night, Yun Wanqing lay on her bed, eyes closed, trying her best to fall asleep.

But no matter how she adjusted her breathing, no matter how she cald her thoughts, sleep refused to co.

The night was far too... restless.

Low, breathy voices, rising and falling in uneven rhythms, filled with emotion that was impossible to mistake.

Though the walls stood between them, the sounds carried clearly enough to disturb her peace of mind.

Yun Wanqing’s brows furrowed slightly.

She turned to her side, pulling the blanket closer, as if that alone could block everything out.

But it didn’t help.

The sounds persisted, weaving through the silence of the night like an invisible thread, tugging at her attention no matter how she resisted.

She tried to focus on her cultivation.

Tried to regulate her breathing.

Tried to empty her mind.

Yet every ti she thought she was about to drift off, another soft voice would slip through, breaking her concentration entirely.

Her fingers tightened slightly against the sheets.

"ahhhhhh..."

"ohhhhh..."

"ughhhh..."

"yessss!"

"deeper!"

"faster!" Yun Wanqing finally gave up on sleep.

What had once been faint, indistinct sounds had gradually grown louder, more intense... no longer sothing she could ignore even if she wanted to.

The quiet of the night had long since been shattered.

To her ears, the rising cries and broken breaths sounded almost like chaos unfolding behind closed doors, as if Lin Feng were waging so fierce, relentless battle... one that left no room for pause or rcy.

Her brows furrowed deeply as she sat up on the bed, a trace of disbelief flickering across her face.

Just how...

She had tried to remain calm, tried to dismiss it as nothing more than her imagination exaggerating things. But the longer it went on, the harder it beca to convince herself otherwise.

In the end, she let out a slow breath, pushing aside any remaining hope of rest.

Sleep was simply impossible tonight.
