"No! My loves! My precious ones!"

"Boss! Don’t take away from them!"

"Please! I’ll co back for all of you! I swear it! Just wait for stay a little longer!"

Xiao Buchi’s shrill rat cries echoed through the dim alley as his tiny body writhed in desperation.

His claws dug frantically into the dirt, scraping and clawing at anything he could grasp, but it was all useless.

A rough vine had been tightly wound around his body, binding his limbs, while three burly rats hauled him away without rcy.

"Boss! Have you all gone mad?!" he scread, his voice cracking with panic.

"They need ! I just got them! They’ll be taken by other males if I’m gone! I love them all!"

Behind him, a chorus of distressed squeaks erupted.

The group of female rats he had painstakingly gathered huddled together, so chasing after him for a few steps before stopping in fear, others watching helplessly as their great rat lord was dragged farther and farther away.

Their tiny eyes were filled with confusion and distress, their cries gradually fading into the distance.

Xiao Buchi’s heart twisted painfully at the sight.

"My beauties... wait for ... don’t forget ..." he muttered, his voice trembling now, no longer as loud, yet filled with unwillingness and attachnt.

"Enough!" one of the rats dragging him snapped coldly. "Have you forgotten what we’re dealing with?"

"That’s right," another added, tightening his grip on the vine. "You think this is a ga? You think this is so kind of blessing?"

Xiao Buchi froze for a mont, his struggling weakening slightly.

The boss, who led the group, finally spoke and his tone was heavy and grave.

"This isn’t a life worth living."

Silence fell for a brief mont, broken only by the faint scurrying of their paws against the ground.

"You were eaten alive, digested, turned into filth... and then reborn again in this sa cursed body," the boss continued.

"Again and again. Do you really want to keep living like this?"

Xiao Buchi’s pupils trembled.

The mories surged back instantly... the suffocating darkness inside a predator’s stomach, the slow, agonizing dissolution of his body, the loss of consciousness... and then awakening once more, reborn as the sa weak, insignificant creature.

His body shuddered.

"But... but at least I have them now..." he muttered weakly, his earlier defiance fading.

"And how long do you think that will last?" the boss shot back rcilessly.

"Until a snake swallows you whole? Until a snake crushes you to death? Until you’re trampled and reduced to paste?"

Each word struck Xiao Buchi like a hamr.

"You won’t even be able to protect them," the third rat added. "In the end, you’ll just watch them die... or worse, forget them completely when you’re reborn again."

Xiao Buchi fell silent.

His body no longer struggled as fiercely, though his gaze still lingered behind him, as if hoping to catch one last glimpse of the fading figures.

But they were gone now and were swallowed by distance and darkness.

Tears welled up in his tiny eyes.

"...I..."

"You can cry later," the boss said, his tone softening just slightly, though his steps never slowed. "Right now, we move."

"Move...?" Xiao Buchi whispered blankly.

"To Clear Moon City," the boss replied. "To find Lin Feng."

At the ntion of that na, a flicker of sothing appeared in Xiao Buchi’s dull eyes.

Hope... fragile, faint, yet undeniable began to take root in his heart.

The four rats continued forward, their small figures slipping through cracks, shadows, and filth as they journeyed toward a distant destination.

Behind them, everything was left behind... the fleeting warmth, the fragile attachnts, the illusion of a normal life.

Ahead of them... Was either salvation or an endless continuation of their cursed existence.

anwhile, soone who had been traveling without rest through the entire night finally arrived at Clear Moon City.

Dust clung to her robes, and faint exhaustion lingered in her eyes, yet her steps did not slow in the slightest.

It was as if a single thought alone was driving her forward.

She did not pause at the city gates, nor did she spare a glance at the bustling morning streets.

Without hesitation, she made her way straight toward Lin Feng’s courtyard.

By the ti she arrived, the sun had already climbed high into the sky.

It was well past nine in the morning and far too late for soone like Lin Feng to still be asleep.

A few figures were still gathered outside his residence, so seated cross-legged as if waiting, others whispering among themselves in hopes of catching even a glimpse of him.

Yet the woman ignored them entirely.

Her expression was cold, focused, and unwavering as she walked past them as though they didn’t exist.

Without announcing herself, she stepped through the entrance.

Her pace was quick, almost urgent, as she moved deeper into the courtyard and toward the living quarters.

But the mont she crossed into the living room, she stopped completely.

Her breath hitched, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

Before her sat Lin Feng, calm and composed as always. But what truly shook her was not him...

It was the won surrounding him. One... two... three... Six in total.

Six stunning won, each with her own unique beauty and temperant, yet all gathered around him as if drawn into his orbit.

So stood close by his side, others sat near him, their expressions soft, attentive... even affectionate.

The atmosphere in the room felt strangely harmonious, as though this was sothing entirely natural.

The woman’s mind went blank for a mont.

"How is he this fast...?"

"I was only gone for a few days... just a few days... and he already has half a dozen won around him?"

A strange mix of shock, disbelief, and sothing she couldn’t quite na stirred within her chest.

For a brief mont, she simply stood there, unable to move, unable to process what she was seeing.

Then...

"ntor Huo Mian?"

Lin Feng’s voice rang out, calm and steady, effortlessly pulling her back to reality.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" he continued, his gaze settling on her with a faint hint of curiosity.

"I don’t recall having any eting scheduled with you today."
