"A Dao oath?"

"ntor Huo Mian is truly serious!"

"She actually went that far... there’s no turning back now."

The won whispered among themselves, their voices laced with shock and disbelief.

Even among cultivators, where ruthlessness and ambition were commonplace, such a decision was not sothing taken lightly.

"Yes. Once a Dao oath is made, it cannot be undone," one of them said in a hushed tone. "It binds not only the body, but the soul itself."

And that was the truth. Dao oaths were absolute.

They were witnessed by the heavens, engraved into one’s very existence.

Those who dared to defy them would face consequences beyond imagination.

There had once been powerful cultivators who believed themselves clever enough to exploit loopholes and geniuses who tried to twist the oath’s wording or escape its binding through forbidden techniques.

But in the end, every single one of them t the sa fate.

Their lifespans withered away in ti and their bodies collapsed into dust.

Worse still, so triggered heavenly punishnt... terrifying tribulations that descended from the skies, obliterating them completely.

Not even their souls were spared, erased from existence as if they had never lived at all.

The price of defying a Dao oath... was absolute annihilation.

"A slave? You shouldn’t be so hasty in making such an unwise decision, ntor Huo Mian," Lin Feng said, shaking his head slowly.

His tone was calm, but there was a trace of seriousness hidden beneath it.

He looked at her with a asuring gaze, as though trying to determine whether she truly understood the weight of her actions.

Huo Mian, however, did not hesitate in the slightest.

"It’s already too late, Master Lin Feng," she said softly, yet firmly. "My vow has been made."

She lowered her head back to the floor, her posture respectful, even submissive but there was no trace of regret in her expression.

"Please give your command. Your slave awaits your first order."

The mont those words left her lips, a hidden change occurred within her body.

A faint, invisible force seed to settle into her ridians, aligning them perfectly.

The chaotic fluctuations that once plagued her cultivation began to calm, as though soothed by an unseen hand.

Then...

A surge of power.

Her aura steadied, then strengthened.

Huo Mian’s eyes trembled slightly, her breathing growing uneven not from fear, but from overwhelming exhilaration.

It was back. Her innate blessing... had returned.

Not only had it returned, but it felt more stable than ever before, deeply rooted within her existence.

It no longer flickered like a fragile fla but it burned steadily, like an eternal star that would never fade.

A soft, almost intoxicated smile ford on her lips.

She could feel it clearly as every passing second made her stronger.

Her cultivation base was consolidating at an astonishing rate, refining itself without resistance.

This was the power she had lost... the advantage that once set her apart from countless others.

And now, it was hers again.

In that mont, an unshakable confidence blossod within her heart.

As long as this blessing remained, her path forward would be smooth and unstoppable.

Bottlenecks would crumble before her. Obstacles would turn to dust. All she needed... was ti.

Ti to grow. Ti to ascend. Ti to reach the realm that countless cultivators could only dream of.

Immortality.

A faint glimr of ambition flashed in her eyes, quickly hidden beneath her obedient deanor.

Now that her blessing had returned, no one would be able to stop her.

Not her rivals, not the heavens, not even fate itself. And the one who stood before her was Lin Feng.

He was the key to it all.

"..." Lin Feng remained silent for a long mont, his gaze fixed on Huo Mian as though weighing her very soul.

Eventually, he let out a quiet sigh.

She was right.

From the mont the Dao oath was ford, her life and death were no longer her own as they rested entirely in his hands.

Whether he accepted it or not, the bond between them had already been sealed.

He had never been fond of won throwing themselves at him so readily, offering their beauty and bodies without restraint.

Yet now, fate had placed him in a position where he could not simply ignore it.

He had to decide.

"Very well," Lin Feng said at last, his voice calm but firm. "Since you’ve made your decision and are resolute in this matter, then you will serve as my housekeeper."

He paused briefly before continuing, his tone carrying a hint of expectation.

"You will maintain the cleanliness of this courtyard at all tis. Ensure that everything remains in order, without the slightest neglect. I trust this is a task well within your capabilities, Huo Mian?"

Under normal circumstances, such an arrangent would have been nothing short of an insult to soone of her status.

To be reduced to a re caretaker... cleaning and tending to a courtyard was far beneath her forr standing.

But this ti... Huo Mian felt no anger. No humiliation.

Instead, a wave of relief washed over her.

"I will do my best, Master Lin Feng!" she replied without hesitation, her voice bright and filled with sincerity.

In truth, she had feared sothing far worse.

With her oath binding her so completely, he could have demanded anything of her and reduced her to nothing more than a tool for his whims.

A whore and a woman who was only there to pleasure him. Compared to that, this...

This was kindness.

A genuine smile blood across her face, unrestrained and full of gratitude.

"I will clean the courtyard at once and ensure it remains spotless at all tis," she added, bowing respectfully before rising to her feet.

Without wasting another mont, she turned and began her work.

There was a lightness to her steps, a subtle spring in her movent that betrayed her inner joy.

Her sleeves fluttered gently as she moved through the courtyard, already planning how to arrange everything to perfection.

To an outside observer, it might have seed absurd... how could soone of her stature find happiness in such a mundane task?

But to Huo Mian, this was more than just cleaning.

It was proof that she had been accepted.

And as long as she remained by Lin Feng’s side, her path to immortality would only grow clearer with each passing day.

"I need to act quickly as well," Ling Lan thought, a strong sense of urgency rising within her as she saw another woman enter Lin Feng’s life.
