When everyone witnessed this scene, their hearts trembled with excitent and desperation.

The opportunity before them was simply too great to ignore.

One by one, then all at once, they began to shout, their voices overlapping in a chaotic chorus as they tried to catch Lin Feng’s attention.

"Master Lin Feng, please notice as well!"

"ntor Lin Feng, please accept as your personal disciple!"

"I’m willing to do anything for you, Master Lin Feng!"

So even stepped forward, disregarding their dignity entirely.

A few knelt on the ground, their foreheads pressing against the muddy ground as they begged with utmost sincerity.

Others pushed through the crowd, raising their hands high, afraid that if they were not seen now, they would lose this once-in-a-lifeti chance forever.

Desperation spread like wildfire.

This ti, even a well-dressed young man stepped forward.

His features were refined, his posture confident, clearly soone who had once been proud of his appearance.

Yet now, he cast aside that pride without hesitation.

"Master Lin Feng!" he called out loudly, forcing a charming smile onto his face. "I am willing to serve you day and night. If Master prefers... I can be of any use you desire."

His words caused a brief stir among the crowd.

So were stunned, others looked at him with disdain, but no one dared to laugh.

After all, in front of soone like Lin Feng, what was pride worth?

Unfortunately for them, all their efforts were aningless.

From beginning to end, Lin Feng did not pause even once.

His steps were steady and unhurried as he walked forward, his figure exuding a natural dominance that made others feel insignificant.

The cries, the pleas, the desperate offers... all of it seed to fade into nothingness in his presence.

It was as if they did not exist.

Without sparing them a single glance, Lin Feng continued toward his courtyard gates.

His expression remained calm and indifferent, his eyes devoid of even the slightest ripple of interest.

To him, these people were no different from passing clouds... seen for a mont, then forgotten the next.

Soon, his figure disappeared beyond the gates.

And just like that, the crowd was left behind, their voices slowly dying down, replaced by a heavy silence filled with regret, envy, and unwillingness to give up hope.

anwhile, Huo Mian remained with the woman Lin Feng had rescued, her sharp eyes and calm deanor allowing her to quickly piece together the truth of the woman’s past.

The woman’s na was Chen Nuo. She was a simple mortal with no cultivation, no background, and no ans to defend herself in a world dominated by strength.

Yet despite her current fragile appearance, there had once been light in her life.

She had grown up in a quiet household on a stretch of land her family had owned for generations.

It was not grand or luxurious, but it was theirs.

Her parents were kind, hardworking people who tilled the soil from sunrise to dusk, living modestly yet peacefully.

The seasons passed gently in those days, marked by harvests, laughter, and the warmth of a family that asked for nothing more than to remain together.

To Chen Nuo, those years were the happiest she had ever known.

But in this world, peace was often a fleeting illusion especially for mortals.

Everything changed the mont a powerful cultivator clan in the city set their sights on her family’s land.

Whether it was for resources, location, or re whim, Chen Nuo never truly knew.

What she did know was that the day they arrived was the day her life was torn apart.

The clan did not negotiate. They did not offer compensation.

They did not even bother to justify their actions.

To them, mortals were insignificant beings without power, without status, without the right to refuse.

Her father had tried to reason with them, his voice trembling yet resolute as he stood in front of their ho.

Her mother had wept, clutching onto what little they had left.

But their pleas were aningless in the face of absolute strength.

With a single order, the cultivators drove them out as if they were nothing more than pests, claiming the land as their own without a shred of remorse.

In that mont, everything her family had built over generations vanished.

The injustice was too great, too heavy for her parents to bear.

Stripped of their ho and dignity, they fell into despair. Day by day, their spirits withered.

The laughter that once filled their ho disappeared, replaced by silence and grief.

No matter how much Chen Nuo tried to comfort them, it was as though their souls had already been crushed.

Before long, both of her parents passed away, unable to endure the weight of what had been taken from them.

They left this world with resentnt, with unwillingness... and with no justice ever served.

And just like that, Chen Nuo was left alone.

No family.

No ho.

No land.

Nothing.

As a mortal, she had no power to seek revenge, no connections to rely on, and no path forward.

The laws of the world did not protect people like her. In truth, there were no laws... only strength dictated right and wrong.

To cultivators, mortals were less than insects. Their lives held no value, their suffering ant nothing.

Even if she were to die on the streets, it would not stir the slightest ripple in the hearts of those who ruled above.

For a long ti, Chen Nuo wandered in despair, surviving day by day with no purpose, no hope, and no future to look toward.

Until the day Lin Feng appeared.

And now, standing before Huo Mian, recounting her story with trembling lips and hollow eyes, the pain she had endured was laid bare... heavy, and suffocating.

"Don’t worry, Chen Nuo. Since my master has commanded to seek justice for you, then justice will be delivered tonight," Huo Mian said calmly, her voice carrying a quiet but absolute confidence.

As she spoke, a thought surfaced in her mind... sothing she had long kept hidden.

It seems... after tonight, everyone will finally know my true strength.

Huo Mian remained expressionless, her gaze steady and cold.

The consequences of revealing her power no longer mattered to her.

If anything, this was the perfect opportunity.

After all, so debts could only be repaid with blood.
